My wife and I had meatloaf sandos because we haven't either of us had meatloaf in decades and we both liked it when we did eat meat. Scott's (hey Scott) meatloaf isn't like your traditional meatloaf with granules of ground beef. Instead, it is more the texture of a fine dice of beef, and man, it is mind-blowing good! I hear the Reuben will make you want to move to Oceanside. I'd love to see what this place could do with a tuna melt. The fries are superior and, well, they nailed it. Love the 60s/70s counter-culture vibe and, of course, the surf undertone (it's blocks from the waves). The service is what you would hope for and holds a soupcon of joy behind it. Scott is personable and you can see his heart is in the food and the restaurant. Finally...calling all meat eaters! This place is the place for you. I used to eat meat. I too know the dissatisfaction vegan food can bring. In short, I am not unsympathetic. You won't be dissatisfied here. I wouldn't be surprised if you returned and brought other people. I've tried all the meat substitutes and this isn't like that. They got hold of something here and it's really good.”

“I stumbled upon this place biking along HWY 101. I ordered the Lowers. Strawberries, banana, Pnut Butter, and Granola acai bowl. I had them add coconut chips. I don't eat a lot of acai I've only had a few but this is the best one I've ever had. It was very well made. Lots of peanut butter so I didn't run out. It was served with the nice Dome top that I turned over and put half the plentiful fruit into so I had it throughout the whole bowl. I just can't stop thinking about how good it was I can't wait to go back next time I am in the area”

Pizza slices here are very affordable but I go to Best only during the last hour of their operating hours. You can’t beat discounted $2.50 slices of pizza which you can only get during the last hour of the day and the beer selection is huge. I’ve never been disappointed with any of the beers I’ve tried there. My go to beer is either the Best IPA or Best Hazy.

I’ve ordered a whole pie once before here and you can definitely tell the difference between a hot fresh pie versus their discounted slices at the end of the day. Both are good—A whole fresh pie has great flavor and is a bit more doughy while the discounted slices appear a little flatter. The ranch is homemade for sure. You can tell with how much dill they put in it.

“The spicy jam burger is my jam! ?? chef's kiss cuz gosh dang it was delicious. It has a crispy crunchy slice of cheese in it. Went for the first time with friends. The blue cheese burger was pretty tasty as well and I don't even like blue cheese like that. The monkey fries were good but not something I would order again. Almost thier spin on animal fries. I'll just order the jam burger twice instead. I got the lavender lemonade as well, had me feeling lovely, even tho I got burger juice all over the place. It's pricey for what I got, 2 burgers, one monkey fry, two drinks it was $50. I mean it's downtown so not a surprise, wish it was a wee bit cheaper because I can't be going broke out here for a delicious burger lol.”

Located in a quiet plaza, Los Tacos is a small branch of a local chain. While the restaurant isn’t large, its grilling setup is impressive—you’ll immediately spot the rotating spit for al pastor pork and the grill for beef as you walk in.

One of the big draws here is their Taco Tuesday special: from 5 pm to close, you can get Carne Asada, Pollo Asado, Carnitas, and Al Pastor tacos for just $2 each. They also offer a 5-taco combo for $12, available all day Tuesday, where you can choose between Carnitas and Al Pastor.

I decided to go with the 5-taco combo, and while the carnitas were satisfying with their soft and tender shredded pork, the al pastor was a letdown. The pork was over-marinated, giving it a sour taste, and the grilling was uneven, leaving some parts burnt. Unfortunately, since I had chosen 3 al pastor tacos, I ended up disappointed with the overall flavor.

Next time, I’d like to try the chicken and beef tacos to see if they fare better. One thing to note: they also charge an extra fee for card payments, so be aware of that.”

We had the 8 course tasting menu and honestly, I couldn’t find a single dish to say anything but amazing things about. After dinner we got a brief tour of the private dining area and back of house, shook hands with the executive chef and got to thank him for helping curate such a special birthday dinner for my partner and myself. It truly was a journey through coastal Mexico with every bite and the staff was incredibly kind. If you have an opportunity to experience this place, you should absolutely book the reservation! The chef’s and staff here earned their star for great reason!”

I ordered Szechuan tofu with rice and then vegetable chow mein (which was amazing) and my nana ordered salt and pepper wings and vegetable egg rolls. She claims they were excellent. I'm usually a big eater but could not finish it all. Place is mid sized, if you intend to have a large party, you will take up most of the space in this place. Tables would have to be moved together if you wanted to sit together. Other than that it is perfect for 1-4 people to grab lunch and go. They take phone orders. I'm also vegetarian so there are options for you if you are as well. Think that covers it, stop by yourself and enjoy!

“I have been in customer service all my life and love it. I also like to acknowledge and share the great customer service experiences I come across or I am given. I have been to a Starbucks maybe 3 times total. I know REALLY!!! Yes really. I’m 65 and can count on 1 hand the number of times I’ve been to Starbucks. I’m not a huge coffee or tea drinker but I saw a special on the Albertson’s Store App for any Grande beverage. I decided to give it a try. Anjalea greeted me. I mentioned hadn’t used the Albertsons app for something like this before. She helped me with that. I mentioned what I was looking for, she asked a couple of questions regarding my preferences then says “I got You”. “ It’s one of my favorites”. She had a co-worker with her and I am so sorry I didn’t get her name. They were both extremely friendly, helpful and spot on for the drink I was looking for on this very hot day. Kudos to both these ladies. I felt welcomed, and the Paradise Drink that was suggested and then expertly made - well AWESOME !!! Doesn’t begin to describe it. Thank you and a big shout out to these ladies that gave me a great experience while at the Marron Rd Starbucks inside the Albertsons store. My UPS box is in same shopping center and I will be stopping in and ordering the Paradise Drink now. I’ve ordered a whole pie once before here and you can definitely tell the difference between a hot fresh pie versus their discounted slices at the end of the day. Both are good—A whole fresh pie has great flavor and is a bit more doughy while the discounted slices appear a little flatter. The ranch is homemade for sure. You can tell with how much dill they put in it.

“The spicy jam burger is my jam! ?? chef's kiss cuz gosh dang it was delicious. It has a crispy crunchy slice of cheese in it. Went for the first time with friends. The blue cheese burger was pretty tasty as well and I don't even like blue cheese like that. The monkey fries were good but not something I would order again. Almost thier spin on animal fries. I'll just order the jam burger twice instead. I got the lavender lemonade as well, had me feeling lovely, even tho I got burger juice all over the place. It's pricey for what I got, 2 burgers, one monkey fry, two drinks it was $50. I mean it's downtown so not a surprise, wish it was a wee bit cheaper because I can't be going broke out here for a delicious burger lol.”

“To those of you who might want to skip the bun and get a lettuce wrapped burger, this is the place. Plenty of ice-cold, incredibly crisp lettuce .. it was great! I do actually think the burger patty could be just a bit bigger, but this burger was a refreshing alternative with the terrace wrap.
