The specials menu is a carousel of insane creativity. Sushi combinations I've genuinely not seen anywhere are surprising even after dining there on a near-weekly basis. Ahi and fig? Snapper and pineapple? Zucchini flower and spicy tuna?? Stop. Just stop. It's like hearing Sgt Pepper's for the first time but with your taste buds. Oh the while staff are incredibly kind, and it's clear they love working there. Go now. Stop reading this review and go there. If it's closed, just wait there.”

“Vegan comfort food so good you'll tell everyone you know about it. My wife and I had meatloaf sandos because we haven't either of us had meatloaf in decades and we both liked it when we did eat meat. Scott's (hey Scott) meatloaf isn't like your traditional meatloaf with granules of ground beef. Instead, it is more the texture of a fine dice of beef, and man, it is mind-blowing good! I hear the Reuben will make you want to move to Oceanside. I'd love to see what this place could do with a tuna melt. The fries are superior and, well, they nailed it. Love the 60s/70s counter-culture vibe and, of course, the surf undertone (it's blocks from the waves). The service is what you would hope for and holds a soupcon of joy behind it. Scott is personable and you can see his heart is in the food and the restaurant. Finally...calling all meat eaters! This place is the place for you. I used to eat meat. I too know the dissatisfaction vegan food can bring. In short, I am not unsympathetic. You won't be dissatisfied here. I wouldn't be surprised if you returned and brought other people. I've tried all the meat substitutes and this isn't like that. They got hold of something here and it's really good.”

Gelato was an authentic and true Italian style gelato , not the tourist gelato style, but the real authentic type. And the espresso!!! Whoa!!! I can easily tell it was made to perfection after many many trials and much work went into to Perfecting it.
The staff were friendly and orders made promptly. Bathroom was impressively clean. This place is a hidden gem! Don’t miss the pistachio gelato …. It is to die for!”

We had the 8 course tasting menu and honestly, I couldn’t find a single dish to say anything but amazing things about. After dinner we got a brief tour of the private dining area and back of house, shook hands with the executive chef and got to thank him for helping curate such a special birthday dinner for my partner and myself. It truly was a journey through coastal Mexico with every bite and the staff was incredibly kind. If you have an opportunity to experience this place, you should absolutely book the reservation! “A few months ago our nonprofit organization was looking for a place where our families could meet up to enjoy some amazing coffee and socialize a bit. Our Angels at Right Hand Angels are disabled and many times they are not accepted in the community. That is not the case here. Each time we have walked in our families have been greeted with kindness, dignity and respect. The staff and owner is always quick to make a smile or chat for a few and even have made some great selections on foods and the game chess. One of our athletes in particular is very quick to claim his favorite chair where he can visually see everything and everyone around him in hopes to make small talk with families. Socialization is so very important to them. We think nothing but the world of this facility and highly recommend the dirty spiced chai and avocado toast. Join them. Atmosphere is very pleasant and wheelchair accessible.”

“The pork spare ribs are bomb ? sooo good that we got two orders. These ribs are so flavorful, juicy and a bit crunchy on the outside. You have to try them when you visit.
We ordered the Guahan special. It came with pork spare ribs, a chicken empanada, chicken kelaguen, rice and cucumber salad. I loved that I got to try a bit of everything. Chicken Kelaguen was very refreshing. We also ordered Chamorro style fried rice with spam and eggs over easy, and a Poke bowl. There’s plenty of food for four of us to share. Again, we wanted more spare ribs so we ordered more.
Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The space was big enough to accommodate big groups. I would def come back when I’m in the area.”

“Its a great cheap place for Kbbq, it may not be super cheap but is the cheapest i have been in the area, We like to go there during the weekdays afternoon as they are not super crowded, been here about 5 times now, and have never made wait (for a party of 2), I think the flavor is not really authentic Korean as it tastes different from where I visited Korea, BUT it happens to be my taste so it's all good.
Music is kinda loud and we were having fun because the music choices were so random, it's not the best place to go and have a conversation but a great place for an all you can eat”

“We had an Amazing dinner delivered to us via Door Dash. We ordered the Family Meal Lasagna and what a FEAST it was!! The meal arrived nice and Hot. We couldn’t believe our eyes! The Lasagna was quite a bit more than we expected and it was loaded with meat sauce which is usually where most restaurants falter - but not this time. It was Delicious!!! We highly recommend this meal for your next Italian dinner. We also received a lovely antipasto salad which comes with the family meal, such a nice presentation!! The only thing I regret is not ordering Two Tiramisu for desert, lol!”

I first tried Golden Coast Mead today at the Poway farmers market and they are truly making something special. The booth was worked by a wonderful woman named Jessica who gave me a $5 tasting flight and let me in on a delicious little secret regarding sweet and sour. I purchased bottles of Wildflower Sweet, Wildflower Sour, and Triple Chili. Highly recommend. Stop by if you want to find out about the secret for yourself!”

Understood that they have premium pricing because of proximity to water. We were here on Sat afternoon, place was buzzing, there was no wait and we asked to sit inside as it was humid outside. It was so loud we could barely hear our server and of course he was also soft spoken. Our table was sticky and wobbly. Chips were served right away, went to get salsa and they were out on the mild ones, told the server and he refilled them right away so service was good.
After we helped ourselves to chips and salsas, by the time the food arrived we were almost full, my husband ordered shrimp burrito and they were huge. I ordered the lobster's lover combo and quite disappointed with the portion especially with the itty bitty lobster that they gave. Chowder was lackluster too.
I liked that we didn't have to wait for the check, the server was able to use his handheld and gave us the total to pay on the spot, but that also can create a pressure to tip at a higher rate”

“REVISED TO SAY: The restaurant is under new management and I have nothing but praises to sing.I booked Iron Mike's for a group of general officers and a very senior enlisted Marine yesterday and the whole experience was amazing in a number of ways:-Nobody was answering the phone at the event center, so I was there in person early, before opening. Nobody was able to help me until I magically bumped into the restaurant owner/manager Renee. He immediately dropped what he was doing, took me to the restaurant, showed me where he could set up a table and asked me if I wanted waist height or high top tables. He also introduced me to the chef.-While I was waiting for my group to show up later that day he checked with me to see how they would want the tab, and a few other very insightful questions.-When the group showed up he greeted them in person and made their entry very smooth.All in all it was fantastic service. When I spoke to my group of stars later everyone said they enjoyed lunch thoroughly, liked that it was quiet and they could talk, the food was really good and it was an easy experience for them overall.Thank you to those at Iron Mikes who made that part of their day so seamless and enjoyable!”

My waiter, Everette, was straight up exceptional! He anticipated my needs before I even asked! Unobtrusive yet 100% attentive! He totally made my day! The food was delicious and cooked to outstanding perfection! I should have grabbed a pic to share with the public, but it looked so yummy that I forgot, and dived right in to devour it, lol. The chef made my top sirloin taste just like filet minion! Seriously! And for those of you, like me, that ask for medium rare, and almost never have it come out right, this chef delivered perfect medium rare! Nice grill outside and perfect pink throughout. Exactly spot on!! Fluffy rustic mashed potatoes that tasted like soft yummy clouds! And the steamed veggies fork tender but not too soft! I mean one generously portioned and utterly delicious plate!! Love the 60s/70s counter-culture vibe and, of course, the surf undertone (it's blocks from the waves). The service is what you would hope for and holds a soupcon of joy behind it. Scott is personable and you can see his heart is in the food and the restaurant. Finally...calling all meat eaters! This place is the place for you. I used to eat meat. I too know the dissatisfaction vegan food can bring. In short, I am not unsympathetic. You won't be dissatisfied here. I wouldn't be surprised if you returned and brought other people. I've tried all the meat substitutes and this isn't like that. They got hold of something here and it's really good.”

Gelato was an authentic and true Italian style gelato , not the tourist gelato style, but the real authentic type. And the espresso!!! Whoa!!!
