“I freaking LOVE this place! Great coffee, amazing food and lots more on the menu for me to try. Took my SO here yesterday for breakfast since she was having a "sick day" and this was definitely the RX. Service with a smile, food that is delicious and you can walk across the street and eat it on the beach. What's not to like. I hesitate writing this review because there's almost always a line and I don't want it so crowded that I can't escape here.“
“Another 3 cheers for Communal! I opted for a non-coffee drink this time and was delighted by the sweet potato hash with Brussel sprouts and an egg lightly seasoned on top. So good! I also had a crisp seasonal kombucha that was on tap. Really refreshing for the mid-morning. Communal's atmosphere and aesthetic is light and airy with a community feel. It's always busy, but never overcrowded which is a good sign. I don't mind waiting in line because they have the best merch to peruse while you wait!“
“This small shop a few blocks from the Oceanside beach was the perfect stop after my morning run.The place was sunny, cozy, and smelled amazing. A small selection of pastries was available at the counter. I ordered a warmed cheese danish, a vanilla latte, and added a drip coffee since I like to try the drip and espresso at a new spot. The latte had incredibly smooth foam on top, a small detail I find rare and enjoyable. Both drinks were rich, smooth, and delicious.“
“After frequently visiting the two other locations in Hyattsville and College Park Maryland I completed the trifecta today in Oceanside. Good service, great oat milk latte and the vibe was definitely SoCal. When we got out of the our Uber from San Diego the driver said you came all the way here for coffee? Yup!!!!“
“Wow wow wow! Fantastic food, fantastic service, fantastic view! Had the pesto sandwich and french dip and the aqua frost dessert and everything was incredible! They were so friendly and even offered snacks and water for our dog. Can’t recommend enough!“
“Small coffee shop inside Rising Co. (apparel store) with indoor/outdoor seating. Friendly service, clean & relaxing atmosphere with an array of options for caffeine and light bites + they allow dogs! I ordered their dirty chai, on the sweeter side but not too much, really nice spice and ginger coming through. I had to savor each sip because it was delicious! Other than Bohemian House of Chai in DTLA, this place knows how to chai. I would come back next time I'm in town.“
“This was our second visit to this place. We loved it so much the first time we came back for seconds. Their french toast is so. yummy. The cafe itself is small and cute. The bathrooms though, theyre not in the restaurant, they're outside on the other side of the parking lot.“
“Got the white chocolate mocha...DELICIOUS!! Parked like 3 blocks away and got to see some idyllic beach side scenery on the walk there. The interior was super cute a d the art decorating the menu and walls was so cool...like classic beach town paintings of aquatic wildlife that add to the seaside vibe perfectly.“
“Came here a couple weeks ago for a lunch meeting. It's the type of place where you order at the counter and then sit down which is fine. The design is just interesting because the counter is right when you walk in so everyone has to line up outside to order. It makes it seem like there's a huge wait but really it might just be a few people in front of your to order. Just something to keep in mind. Cute ambiance and atmosphere - half indoor and outdoor. Large menu with lots of choices. I got the turkey croissant sandwich with sweet potato fries. I took a star off because the person I was with ordered sweet potato fries as well and got regular fries. Also thought he was getting an actual tuna sandwich when he ordered the albacore tuna sandwich but it turned out to be a tuna SALAD sandwich. Other than that - great casual lunch spot!“
“What a delightful discovery. This oasis of serenity is blessed with a great staff and even better food. We loved the entrees as much as we enjoyed the desserts. We expected great tea and were not disappointed. We also expected good scones and other goodies to go with the tea. What we got was some of the best desserts you can imagine and some delicious entrees. They call them finger sandwiches, but they are a little more than that. The meat pies, Italian sandwiches and prosciutto and fig finger sandwich - more like a mini bruschetta- were all delicious. The cranberry scone was perfect, as all the desserts were. Do yourself a favor and go for a special occasion - like a random Tuesday. The atmosphere, food and service are an unbeatable combination.“
“Such a crazy cool concept! I loved that it was located in an old mechanic shop, and this place had such a cool vibe too. I ordered a build your own that featured turkey and bacon and some avocado. It was amazing. Everything tasted so fresh and had such great flavors. My fiancé ordered the Chicken Pesto, which he loved. He also tried the Pizza Panini too, that he also really enjoyed. Id definitely love to come back next time we're in town!“
