“Little hole in the wall hidden gem in Oside. From the moment you walk in there are sunflowers ? and good vibes. The booths are super comfy and it's like a hybrid restaurant but fast service. Their food is delish! Definitely a regular! The sunshine fries and the hand rolls ?, but honestly everything is ?“
“Went to Sea World over Spring break, after we left we wanted to check out Teri Cafe for dinner rather than eating in the park. Much better food and much more reasonable. This is their second location, had not been to this one before, glad we stopped, great food, great service, Ohana style vibes. You walk in and order at the counter, then seat yourself and they bring it to you. They give large portions here, which I love, not only large portions, but great food as well. Yum! I got the Dinner special #1. Coke with Teriyaki chicken, miso soup, California roll or Spicy tuna roll (for an up charge) potato salad and a huge salad. The plate it comes out on is massive and the food covers it all. I ate a good amount, but did nit finish it all. Saved some for the next day. The teriyaki chicken was tender and grilled nicely, the spicy tuna, salad, potatoes salad and the miso soup were are very flavorful and delicious. You get all that food for $17, what a deal. Our dinner for 4 cost less than what we spend at Sea World for a simple lunch. Enjoy!“
“The food at Matsu was incredible. Super innovative without being overwhelmingly experimental, great textures, interesting flavors, all around a hit. The service was top notch. And the manager went above and beyond to adjust the timing for us because we had a crying infant. All around a fantastic experience and I wish them the best in their bid for a Michelin star. For sure as good if not better than many 1 star Michelin restaurants we’ve been to.If I had one minor critique it’s that they were out of one of the wines on their menu, which just means they need to update their inventory more often. On the flip side, they had a great by the glass menu.Overall, a tremendous experience.“
“Hands down my favorite restaurant! We've been coming to Teri cafe for years and by far the best deal and food for the price! From the best ramen to amazing teriyaki meals (#6 is my fav) Teri is always a hit! There are 2 locations, we prefer the one on el Camino but that's just our preference. If you stop by in the afternoons they're usually very busy but they are quick so don't let the line stop you from coming in.“
“I see this place daily and always wanted to try their food. This restaurant is a real hidden gem. Tucked inside the Carlsbad mall, you could easily miss them. I was craving a Miso soup, and they didn't disappoint. I also ordered mixed fried rice, and that had chicken and garlic diced inside, and that was decisions. I also ordered garlic edamame and a nice salmon roll. Everything was made fresh. Glad I stopped in.Parking: Lots of parkingWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“We decided to stop in on a Thursday night for some sushi. We have been on the hunt for a new place since moving from Hawaii; it's very tough to find a place that isn't mostly crabbed based rolls. To say the least, we will be back. Sushi was great and reasonably priced. The extra options such as the bento box was delicious. Service was good and they seemed to have many to go orders. Great casual dining for all !“
“My daughter's and I have made this our Tuesday Sushi Night. We've named it Tushi Night. We have met the owners William and Jun and we can't begin to tell you what an unbelievable experience we've had.It may not be the fanciest Sushi Place but the Sushi is out of this world. They have gone over and beyond to make our visit special each and every Tushi...and the Servers are the best. William and Jun thank you.“
“The food is amazing my husband and I eat here every week! It is our favorite Japanese place of the dozens we've been to. The cucumber salad and baked salmon roll are my favorites and my husband loves the fried California roll and beef yakisoba.“
“Our visit during happy hour on Sunday was well worth our time. The service was excellent; thank you, Natalie We ordered nearly everything on the happy hour menu (food selection). When the food quickly arrived we were embarrassed and in awe. There was so much food, and the dishes were well presented. Photos were taken. Our favs were: shashito peppers, fried salmon kama on mixed greens, both types of dumplings, and the miso soup (we asked to add mushrooms). Later after the happy hour ended we ordered espresso martinis. Ahhhh, I could write a whole review on that. Best ever had we are no strangers to different versions of this classic. This version, at this restaurant, is a must. The ambiance was comfortable, and artwork on the walls was delightfully eye catching.“
“I've been eating here for over 12+ years but recently my husband and I ditched the sushi restaurant we used to go to and started eating here more frequently. The food is amazing. There has never been a time when the food wasn't good that I can remember. Service is outstanding. Van is a GREAT sushi chef who helps everyone else out in the restaurant and makes my husband really delicious uni shots. Vanessa and Malvin are also amazing at what they do. They are so nice and friendly. I recommend the Kelly roll, larb, papaya salad and the salmon skin roll. Ask for their house made garlic ponzu sauce. You won't regret it!!“
“I never ever write reviews but this is my first time checking this place out and I am beyond impressed. Amazing, good cuts of fish. The best customer service- even though I was tucked away in the back of the restaurant. Will be back plenty more.“
“Wow, what an experience and a wonderful array of food!! We tried about 10 different items on the menu, and nothing disappointed us. Our first time at a sushi restaurant and the staff helped us decide and answered all our questions about the food. The yellowtail, shrimp, salmon, seared salmon, oysters, Phoenix rolls, and edamame, just to name a few of the items we had, were so delicious! We'll be back“
