“During our unforgettable 40th wedding anniversary weekend getaway in San Diego, we stumbled upon an absolute gem – O Prego! My beloved husband, Joaquim, who hails from Portugal 🇵🇹, had an insatiable craving for a taste of his homeland. Fortunately, fate led us to this remarkable Portuguese market. Our visit, accompanied by our sons, was a delightful detour on our way to Las Vegas. The true highlight of our experience was meeting the owner, Joao, who personified warmth and hospitality. He generously shared his deep knowledge of Portuguese cuisine and culture, engaging us in an enriching conversation. Our enthusiasm for O Prego's offerings knew no bounds. We couldn't resist filling our shopping cart with an array of delectable products. But the best part is that our Portuguese culinary journey doesn't end here; we're thrilled to continue savoring their delicious foods and products through their online store. The selection at O Prego is nothing short of fantastic, a treasure trove of Portuguese delights. This serendipitous stop on our journey added an extra layer of joy to our 40th-anniversary celebration. We're elated that we made this pitstop before embarking on our journey back home. O Prego, you've won our hearts and taste buds! 🇵🇹❤️🍽️”
“We frequent this restaurant often during weekends. We typically come early part of lunch time, so we never have to wait for a table. Our go-to is usually Show You Ramen, Katsu Curry, Tonkatsu, Salmon Onigiri, and Umeboshi Onigiri. And from time to time, I would order the special Tan Tan Ramen. We love that the Ramen is always piping hot, which is much appreciated. Service is always great, and staff is attentive.”
“I have been coming here for 45 years and it the best Italian good place around. The three sisters that run it are amazing women that take pride in their work always so uplifting and with a smile on there faces. If you haven’t tried this place what are you waiting for. Get in there and taste everything they have to offer you can’t go wrong with anything you order. And with plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day😀”
“I rarely leave reviews, but I had such a great experience with Melissa that I felt compelled to write one.
Melissa is, without a doubt, the best CAVA employee who has ever made my bowl. She was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout the entire experience. Her positive attitude and outstanding customer service truly stood out and made my visit memorable.
Thank you, Melissa, for going above and beyond. I’ll definitely be back!”
“Have always had a great experience at The Money Pit; except for today (10/28/24). My wife and I stopped for lunch and ordered 2 hamburgers, 1 fry, and 2 drinks. At the time of ordering your employee gave me a to-go carrier for the two drinks, and I told her that we were eating at the Money Pit. She gave me two cups for the drinks. I paid the bill of $20.04 with cash, and she gave me my change. She seemed very put out that I was not taking the drinks and food out. Anyway, when they brought the meal, there were 3 hamburgers, not 2. I said I ordered 2 and she basically told me I was lying and walked away. If you get a server about 30-35 years old, 5'4" tall, with glasses at the Money Pit expect to be treated in a rude matter. Never happened to me in the past (over 10 years of eating there), and I hope you don't have to deal with this employee.”
“Great sushi place. The cuts were exceptionally fresh and premium quality. I also appreciated the thoughtful finishing touches and topping. Those little details really elevated each piece and brought the flavors together. Cozy atmosphere. Friendly and attentive table service.”
“Perfect, amazing and always awesome. Fast service, nice staff and great food!”

“First time in California. Tried In N Out in Santa Monica - absolutely terrible. My first impression was that In N Out was just a basic flavorless burger.
However, gave it a 2nd try while visiting some family in San Marcos. It was like night and day. Our cashier was super nice and patient with me as I figure out what I want. The burger tasted so much better. Very happy with this experience.”
“Had a late lunch with friends on a rainy Sunday. It was pouring rain, the only way to park in the restaurant parking lot was to valet, otherwise you have to park on the street or further away in another parking lot. The food, service and view was excellent. I couldn't help but to notice how stained the dining chairs were and the tables looked worn and tired. It's too bad the management doesn't see this and address it. The prices are very reasonable, it's worth a try if you love fresh Italian cuisine.”
“One of the best Indian food around the area . Food has rich flavors and outstanding taste.”

“Best Indian food and friendly service!”
“One of the best Chinese restaurants in the area the best in San Marcos.. my only disappointment is the wonton soup here on the west coast!! Back on the east coast the wonton noodles are large and very doughy here the are small and soft. Hard large wonton noodles in my soup. Still the best I have found other then Philadelphia and New York Chinese restaurants.”
“Today was our first time visiting, and to be perfectly honest, this will be our new go to for sushi, even though we live in Ramona. Everything from the appetizers to the drinks and service was great. It seems like it would be a great spot for game or fight nights as well!”
“The food was terrific, came out quickly and the staff was friendly. Nice experience.”
“When there is Passion that will be quality. I had an opportunity to speak with Mahmet. He is an advocate of doing the right thing. He is advocating for a best quality for consumers and the education to support the farmers. I look forward to our relationship with Mahmet & Memli Coffee Lap for many years to come.”
“We love Shores. With football now starting, it is not so great. It is known as a Packers bar. Today there were 6 Packers fan and the rest of the other team fans had to listen to the loud Packers game. Also, one bartender saved seats for over 2 hours for people who didn't show up. That is not right for everyone who shiftwd seats to accommodate the regular guests. Not "shore" if we'll be back during football. I hope Pete figures it out.”
“found the Las Vegas Sayulitas 2 yrs ago when staying at the Luxor. there burritos are beyond spectacular. big and so delicious. I can't say it enough. and the sauces on the little sauce bar are outstanding. I've never had anything like those sauces. the hot green sauce and hot red sauce are phenomenal. I like the green the best. I lived in AZ years ago. went back home to upstate NY. there is no place near me that even comes close. I love Sayulitas and wish I had one near me. you can't go wrong if you love Mexican style food”
“THE BEST THE BEST SHIRAZI SALAD,,,,AAAAAAMAZING...GREAT FOOD, SERVICE, AND ATMOSPHERE SO NICE!! A MUST TRY!!”

“I really like the boba there! The shop is kinda small but the drinks are really good. I do recommend getting 25% sugar though (It’s a little bit sweet at 50% I haven’t tried 75% but 100% is really sweet). Some of my favorites include milk tea Boba, strawberry green tea with lychee jelly, and freshly squeezed, lemon jasmine green tea. And you can get triple Boba. So I usually get that. The place is really cool and like I said really tasty so I really recommend going there. And if you get triple Boba and then jelly will take away one of the triple over and replace it with jelly.”
“Stopped here randomly after driving by. Small restaurant that really surprised me with its quality of food and generous portions. Had a poke bowl and a spicy tuna roll both had ingredients that were very fresh. The service was great too. Food came out relatively quickly especially considering there were only two people working.”
“We had L&L Hawaiian cater an event for us last Wed June 24th. We ordered BBQ chicken & beef, Katsu chicken, and macaroni salad. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked, and the quantity was amazing. We received lots of great feedback. It was easy to order and communication was spot on. Will definitely be going and and recommend to you all!”

“It was about noon as I left my Doctors office and feeling a little hungry. I say Pegah’s Kitchen next door and gave it a try. The staff were all very professional. I had their Italian omelette and if I had to rate it on a one to 10 scale with 10 being the best, I would give it a 12. This is the Vista location. Highly recommend this place for breakfast and lunch, as they are not open for dinner.”
“Philly Franks Steaks Carlsbad, CA Got the burger. Not sure what the bread was. It was slightly chewy like a pretzel bun but reminiscent of a decent cheese steak roll. Doesn't really work for the burger itself. The meat wasn't seasoned. The grilled onions had great carmelization. Tasted like Visalia onions, which I think they used for their onion rings (definitely get those). The fries were horrible, unseasoned, soggy. Good thing I got a side of wiz for them. Back to the burger: their secret sauce had a very strong garlic flavor, but tasted like it was seasoned with Mccormick garlic salt. Burger did not blow me away. I would like to try their line of cheese steaks, but if they use their secret sauce on them, then not really. I would give this burger a 2 out of 5. Really not impressed and they should probably just stick to their cheese steaks.”
“We love our neighborhood go to spot for excellent wine and beer choices and perfect bistro food: salads, small plates, flat breads and out of this world cheese boards. Lucky to have so close and with such friendly staff!”

“If you’re looking for the best tortas in town, this is the place to go. The tortas are always fresh, flavorful, and packed with quality ingredients. Every bite is delicious, and the portions are generous. Their aguas frescas are also outstanding refreshing, perfectly balanced, and the perfect complement to any meal. The food is consistently excellent, and the service is friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone craving authentic, delicious food. I’ll definitely be coming back for more.”
“This spot is SO tough! Been coming in for almost two decades… Chris is a true pillar of how to run a business, even through tough times! Food is TOP notch, and I know, I know, there’s SO many Sushi spots in North County. DONT sleep on this place.. I will not falter.. Best Mom and Pop sushi spot in North County period! Fight me!”
“The only wrong with this place is I can’t eat everything I want in one sitting . I’ve been here so many times and not once have had the same thing twice . Their fruit is so fresh and ripe. Their milkshakes are thick and fine. Their paletas are magnificent. The staff makes all your stuff just right .”
“Kung Fu Tea is my favorite boba place. It is just unfortunate that they don't have a place in Oceanside. I have to drive to San Marcos.
I like their classic milk tea, and the balance of sweetness and creaminess was perfect. The boba added just the right amount of texture and sweetness, and I appreciated how it didn't lose its consistency in each sip. You can really taste the quality and freshness of the boba. The staff is friendly and efficient, making the experience even better. If you're a boba lover, Kung Fu Tea is a must-try! I highly recommend it!”
“Just ate here for lunch today with a family of 5. We wanted a booth but they were just slightly too small so we had to sit at a regular table. Not a problem actually as all of the seats are padded.
We each ordered a lunch menu item, which all come with half-and-half rice and chow mien noodles, plus a small egg drop soup. Lunch items are right around $10 each, and each of us got a heaping plate of food. HIGHLY worth the $10.
We all liked our food. The orange chicken was not too sweet unlike other places (Panda). I got the Shrimp with Hot Garlic Sauce. Lots of sauce on this one. It ended up leaking out of the container after we got the rest to-go, so be sure to pack your leftovers well. The Beef with Broccoli was great.
We also got the Bunny character buns. They looked cute but I didn't think they had a lot of filling. Not too sweet either.
One thing to note: we noticed that some of the soy sauce bottles have a cracked lid. The one on our table wasn't screwed on tightly so we got soy sauce everywhere and had to exchange with another table. That one also had tape holding the lid together, so be aware.
Also, they only had plastic forks. No metal forks. It's a little tough to eat heavy noodles with plastic forks.
They don't have any beer options that I could see. We all chose water. Total came to $61.66 and we had a lot leftover so you have dinner covered if you eat lunch here.”

“I was turned on to LA Pinsa Mia pizzas at a farmers market that I go to at Chapman University, every Saturday. I had never had Pisa style pizza before. I grew up in Gloucester Mass. with a huge Italian population that made some of the best pizzas I had ever eaten. The thing that separates LA Pinsa apart from other pizzas is the crust. Absolutely delicious! I try to stay vegetarian as much as possible, and that is easy to do with these pies, like Margherita, Truffle, Pesto, and Veggie which are my favorites. The crust is so awesome that I will eat the pie, all except for the outer crust. I will then use it to dip into homemade hummus.”

“Delicious, high quality ingredients. Everything is delicious and service is pretty fast! Put in your order from a kiosk and choose the ingredients you want!! I love eating here after climbing at Mesa Rim. I walk there from the gym. Two beautiful, sweet dogs belong to the owners and always love tummy rubs. Come see this place!!!”
“Taco Tuesdays are my favorite day at this place because the food is great. However, I’ve heard that the food might be different on other days.
One thing that really annoys me is their payment system. You have to pay for your order first and then wait in line for it. The line can be incredibly long, sometimes over 30 minutes.
Despite the long wait, their system tacos are amazing on Taco Tuesdays.
Word of caution: the Al pastor tacos can be very inconsistent, one day they can be crispy with full of flavor, other days they can be soggy and bland.”
“GREAT experience at the Golden Spoon the other night, came with my cousin. Marcus was serving up top-notch frozen yogurt AND service. Great flavors to choose from, packed with a wide selection of toppings, culminating in a creamy tower of deliciousness (seriously, he built that thing up like a skyscraper). Will definitely be going back, and thanks again for making our night, Marcus!”
“This place so super clean and the the food was amazing. Plenty of tables to eat and close by other options if you have a family like mine that can't agree on one type of food. I ate the Thai dunking noodle Veggie protein level 10 spicy with a strawberry Lemonade...And im was sooo satisfied with this dish. The Lemonade was freshly squeezed and perfect 👌. I got it as take out but the portion size was large and everything was truly perfect. The young lady who took my order was super kind and very informative of the food in question and very welcoming. I will come again next time im in this area. Great food.”
“So cool that San Marcos has its own Pizza Port! They recently added a pizza truck so food is now available in addition to their tasting room beers. Thanks for the addition to our community!”
