“My coworkers and I would frequent this restaurant often. I would normally get one of the Large Pho bowls but other times I would venture out to Rice Vermicelli Noodles. These noodles were served with lettuce, cucumbers, bean sprouts, mints, pickled carrots and daikon, roasted peanuts and fish sauce. This instance I got it with grilled chicken and egg rolls. Great food all the time!“
“My coworkers and I worked close by so we would frequent this restaurant quite often. Most of the time I would get bahn mi which always tasted really good. This time I got Pho Bo Kho which is like pho but with a deeper Unami taste, because of tomatoes and fish sauce in the broth. This was nice to taste but I don’t think it’s for me and I think I will stick to Pho and Bahn mi here.“
“Really great service! The bun rieu soup was tasty. Most Vietnamese restaurants don't serve this soup so I had to try this one here and I was not disappointed. Thought the egg rolls were a bit cold when they arrived, like they were pre fried. I would say prices are quite expensive, $70 USD for 2 adults and 1 child.“
“I used to go here all the time for my lunch break when I just graduated college and found a job around the area in 2020. The service and food was just amazing and unforgettable. The ladies that work there are some of the most kindest and warm-hearted people that I’ve ever met. It feels like home there even though I lived 100 miles away from my actual home. They’re definitely popular and many locals definitely eat here regularly because the food and service is top notch. The food is very delicious. I really like their noodle soup dishes like pho, and bun bo hue; I tried level 10 spiciness for the bun bo hue, and it was very difficult to eat because of how spicy it was! It was probably most spiciest soup that I’ve ever had. If you like spicy soups, definitely give it a try, but beware of how spicy it is! Their rice dishes are also very good. If you prefer to eat healthy, there are plenty of healthy options here that taste amazing. The portion sizes for the food here are generous, and the serving is just right. They also give Viet candy afterwards which is a really nice touch of dessert. I really miss this place, and I plan on visiting again some day. It’s been 2 years now. I hope everything is going well.“
“Great little pho house. Food was excellent, service was excellent. Chicken wings were amazing. The water, was the best non bottled restaurant water I have ever had. Pricing was decent. The only small thing, was gnats flying around. Aside from that, everything was upscale and excellent.“
“This is the best place in Vista to get pho! My husband and I love trying different pho places in the area but nothing beats Tasty Pho! We come here at least once a week to eat. The owner of the restaurant is so kind and very helpful. He remembers us and always asks about our daughter. He has helped me carry our orders out to the car and has even offered to hold our daughter while we are eating. Very sweet man! My favorite pho to get is the shrimp pho and my husbands is the slice of rare steak and well done brisket pho. The egg rolls are also super delicious and we always get them.“
“First time visitors, we ordered a healthy variety of things from sweet (do NOT miss the pandan coconut cake/banh bo) to savory. The banh mi are great, but in my opinion the real stars are the steamed dumplings (banh bot loc).Everything we tried was made with care, skill, and high quality ingredients. Just wish they were located closer to us, but I'll make a point to visit whenever I'm in Escondido.“
“Right away they gritted us with a smile. It’s a small cozy and very clean place. We tried a little bit of everything, portion are great size, taste was delicious. All the plates were shareable with kids. Definitely coming back!Kid-friendliness: Portions are big so you can share with everyone.“
“Met the new owners. They were very sweet and provided great service. They assured me nothing on the menu would change but, that they did plan to expand the menu and add new items. The Mom of the owner (daughter) is actually the cook. I believe she used to work as a chef at a pho restaurant in Encinitas. The spicy Beef soup that I ordered was amazing!! Loved all of the flavors and the broth. I also enjoyed the egg rolls with the sweet & sour sauce.Definetly coming back to try out new items that get added to the menu.“
“My dad has been bringing me here ever since I was a kid. This place started my love for Pho and Vermicelli dishes. The food is always exceeding expectations. Staff is super nice and the atmosphere is great.Parking: A lot of parking spaces, though they can be quite “small”“
“My lady was craving some Pho so we found ourselves here. We're rather picky about where we go since I have a limited palate and don't care for rice or soup (much to her chagrin). This place was perfect. I got beef Bahn Mi which was wonderfully seasoned, if a bit less spicy than what I am used to, as well as some crab rangoon. And she loved the Pho. The only complaint was that the boba smoothies were a little sweeter than we'd have liked. Ultimately 9/10 will be returning.“
“I ordered for pickup. I got the chicken pho, fries, and a rainbow roll. I’m very pleased with everything! The only thing I was not expecting was the fries were not plain…they were a little sweet and had fried garlic. Which was absolutely delicious! But I’d specify that on the menu just in case someone isn’t a garlic lover.Thank you! Will come again.“
“This place is always busy and usually a good place to go. I was upset from my last visit since I was waiting to order a to go order at the counter & was ignored. The employee chose to help the guy who was ready to pay even though I was first. I mentioned it and it did not seem to matter. The pho was good, but I haven't been here in a long time so I recalled it being much better.“
“Idk why the other reviews are so critical because this place was ??. Large portions, food was great, and service was fantastic, price was very reasonable. They were so accommodating for our large party. You could tell this is a family run business (mom and son as servers/cashier?).“
“The food is always amazing. Service can be inconsistent as employees change, but you can tell from those who are long term and it shows that they do love what they do. The Surf & Turf Spring Rolls are my current new obsession!! Must try!“
“The families that provide the service are great. Very welcoming and kind from the moment you are greeted to the last wave goodbye. As a long term diner here, I can say it's changed. Portions have become smaller and was confirmed with my latest take-out order. I received a single spring of mint and Thai basil. My egg roll order now includes 4 and a table that typically splits the usually 6 eggrolls. They may have a bigger pack. I didn't ask since I typically don't need the bigger options. The broth is delicious here too. Not greasy.“
“If you can eat gluten this place is fantastic. They have a lot of GF next to dishes but in the small print below, on the menu, it says it can be made GF but you have to ask. I have been sick 3 days now because of this misunderstanding. I may go back, but maybe not. This is why I prefer to eat at home.Dietary restrictions: Be absolutely sure to tell your wait person that you must have GF or other dietary restrictions.“
“They were super friendly, and when I asked the owner what to get she was really nice about making a drink that I like. I got a "Peach of My Heart" but had the Earl Grey changed to Oolong with their brown boba and it's delicious!“
“I went here a couple of weeks ago. The food was so good and they have a bunch of different options for sandwiches: beef, vegetarian, chicken, and pork. I got the beef sandwich because there were so many options I was overwhelmed due to the fast moving line. However, as I was waiting I had a better look at the menu. I recommend getting the Number 6 Sandwich next time. When I was there they were so popular they ran out of bread right after I ordered so had to turn people away who wanted sandwiches until they could get more bread. With this in mind it is good to know that they have Pho Noodle Soup and they use real Filet Mignon. My daughter got the soup and she loved it.Lastly, my wife got the Fried Tofu sandwich and she said it was phenomenal. So they have lots of great options.Next time I'm in that part of town I'll be eating there again!“
