“We tried this restaurant two nights ago, for the first time. I called and placed an order, it was ready in like 15 minutes for pick up. Brought it home and devoured every bite! We got the BBQ Pork rice plate, BBQ Chicken rice plate, steak Pho, and egg rolls. It was enough for my husband, two of my children, and myself. It was absolutely delicious!“

“The food here is excellent, haven't gotten a bad dish from them before. The banh mi is their best dish I've had here. I also loved their fried rice. Good service too. Menu is very big with lots I have not tried yet though.

The prices are very steep however at around $25-35 dollars per entree and the entrees are very small and the atmosphere here doesn't quite match the price, but the owner told me they have a separate large commercial kitchen where they have to hand make a lot of their ingredients so that somewhat justifies the price.“

“Amazing vietnamese coffee!

​We ordered a seasonal drink and their Hanoi egg coffee. Hanoi egg coffee was definitely the winner. We were a bit skeptical about the hype surrounding this place, but our experience proved that they truly serve incredible Vietnamese coffee! We would definitely stop by again if we're in the area.

“We were so excited to find this place open on the 4th of July! Our waitress recommended the Cubic Filet Mignon Fried Rice, the Tijuana Roll, and the Tiger Roll, and every single dish was absolutely amazing. Everything was incredibly fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully prepared. The service was excellent, and we had such a wonderful dining experience. We can’t wait to come back and try their pho. “Had their egg rolls with the rice paper a year ago from a co-worker who brought a tray in to work. Haven't stopped thinking about it.

But somehow, it wasn't as good as I remembered it. Still good but a little too dry and too salty.
Bahn mi was great.

“Went for lunch with family on a whim. Family was happy with the choice. We went specifically for sushi, and I picked 4 rolls with appetizers. Family thought fish was fresh, food was delicious. Drank the passion fruit with food, refreshing. We agreed we need to return to try more dishes. Looks like regulars take to go. We were only ones for awhile catching up. The veggies are abundant fresh and crispy. the pork is tender and flavorful and the tiny rice noodles are hot and well cooked. they serve it with large lettuce leaves that you wrap all the goodies up as a Vietnamese burrito. and dip it into a flavorful sauce called fish sauce but it is not fishy and does not taste like fish. Tops! Every dish is tops. and the soups are also fun to try. A fun meal pretty much describes the Saigon Restaurant. Thank you, Victor. He's the top cheese there. I'm so happy this restaurant survived the pandemic.“

But if you like made to order banh cuon (steamed rice rolls), cha lua (steamed pork loaf), or best of all, gio chien (fried pork paste), you really won’t be disappointed. These simple items are much better than what’s available elsewhere because of the ingredients and because of their freshness. Yum!

Note: You can reheat the fried pork paste in an air fryer at home and it still tastes good, but when it just comes out, the smell of it is so irresistible!“

“Went to dinner with family last night and had amazing experience. We ordered the spring rolls, lemonade, Vietnamese coffee, chicken pho for our kiddo and rare/well done steak for ourselves. Portions are huge, pho is incredibly flavorful, and to this day they serve the best Vietnamese coffee I have tried from any Pho restaurant in SD (and I have tried many)!!! “Ordered 4 dishes for takeout. The heavenly papaya salad, garlic chicken bowl, fried shrimp noodle bowl, and the pho fried noodle. Didn’t care much for the papaya salad. The dressing seems to be missing something. Taste diluted. The chicken bowl was good and flavorful. The shrimp noodle bowl was good but wish they give more shrimp. There was only two shrimp. The fried pho noodle was oily and the noodle was hard. No taste at all but just oily. I do wish they have more options tho. And the portion was pretty small and pricy.“

The atmosphere is super welcoming and the staff is very friendly, the food is very good and priced well. A lot of different menu offerings, I got the filet mignon pho and a lychee tea.

There are a few other items that caught my eye. The tables around me got a variety of different foods and everything looked very appetizing. The portion size is great. I recommend this place for sure. Ample parking, right down the street from main area of PB“

“I’ve been searching for an authentic pho restaurant, and I’m so glad I found this place! The pho was excellent—the soup base was rich, flavorful, and tasted truly authentic. It’s definitely one of the best bowls of pho I’ve had in a long time.

The service was outstanding as well. Our food came out quickly, and we were even treated to complimentary Thai iced tea, which was a wonderful surprise. Chris was especially welcoming and made us feel right at home with his friendly and attentive service.

“I went with my wife, my brother and one of my sisters. It was about three minutes before eight p.m. when we got there and my brother asked me to go in first. What I didn't know was that they close at eight and my brother, a long time customer, wanted to see if they would let us in or tell us it was closed before he got out of the car. Fortunately, they let us in despite the late hour. Not only that, they recognized my brother and fussed over us as if we were a group of celebrities. They were very polite and friendly despite the fact that we were keeping them at work after their closing hour. The food was excellent and was was served very quickly since we were the only customers there.“
