Tu Thanh Reviews
Their menu is very simple but the food is great! I love their soup(s)!
Go with their specialties. Perfect soups after eating meat meat meat in Mexico. Setting is cozy, not at all fancy, but they play jamming country blues while you dine.
This place is known for Vietnamese Vermicelli Duck Baboom. The food was okay, but it's kind of hard to find parking.

Tu Thanh is a small, family-owned Vietnamese restaurant known for its delicious Vietnamese soup. The staff are sympathetic, and the food is praised for its quality and reasonable prices, though the portions can be quite large. Customers particularly enjoy the corn milk, Bún riêu, Bún măng vịt, chả, and lemongrass sausage, as well as the ginger dipping sauce. The restaurant has a chill atmosphere and is a favorite among locals.
Many love the Chao (rice porridge), which tastes just like childhood memories. The duck soup is considered the best in San Diego—steamed duck dipped in ginger fish sauce is heavenly. The lemongrass sausage is delicious and spicy, reheating well for leftovers. The duck soup comes with flavorful duck, a light cabbage salad, and sweet ginger dressing. The broth is light with thin rice noodles and shredded bamboo topping, perfect for a comforting meal. Parking can be tricky, but service is quick, and the ambiance is low-key, typical of an inexpensive hole-in-the-wall cafe.
