About Pho Mai Cali & Grill

Pho Mai Cali & Grill is a popular Vietnamese restaurant that has received mixed reviews over time. Customers praise the delicious pho, especially the oxtail and brisket pho, which is described as "soooooooo delicious." The noodle portions are also generous. However, some customers note that the restaurant has changed, with the seafood pho soup being great but the combination vermicelli plate only being okay. The bathrooms also need more maintenance.

The restaurant is considered a good pho place, but not as good as it used to be, possibly due to a change in ownership. The service is reported as cordial and fast, and the prices are comparable to other nearby restaurants. Customers love the fresh ingredients, hot and ready-to-eat meals, and the delicious Thai Tea and Vietnamese Espresso coffee. The food to-go tastes just the same as dine-in, and the prices are reasonable. While the service is straightforward, some customers wish the restaurant would go above and beyond in terms of service.

We tried this restaurant two nights ago, for the first time. I called and placed an order, it was ready in like 15 minutes for pick up. Brought it home and devoured every bite! We got the BBQ Pork rice plate, BBQ Chicken rice plate, steak Pho, and egg rolls. It was enough for my husband, two of my children, and myself. It was absolutely delicious!
Came here after being left hungry and disappointed by the food at Kyoto gift and food next door. Wasn’t expecting to find my new favorite pho spot! The broth was rich and comforting and the ingredients tasted fresh. I also ordered the chicken wings which were crispy and packed with flavor. The restaurant was clean, service was fast, and the staff was welcoming and friendly. Definitely a spot I’ll come back to!
I stumbled upon this hidden gem after finding out Toto's was closed on a Tuesday, and I'm honestly glad it worked out that way. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly and seated right away.

Our server recommended starting with the fresh spring rolls and insisted we try the fish sauce wings. Since San Diego has been dealing with a heat wave this past week, the spring rolls were the perfect way to start. They were light, refreshing, and packed with fresh herbs...read full review
