“Hands Down the best carnitas of all of San Diego. My family and I always buy our carnitas here. We get the carnitas by the pound and they are delicious 😋. They also catered 2 of my party events my baby shower and my daughter's 1st communion at a reasonable price. I said I wanted for 50 people and they set it up in party trays and I picked it up. It came with everything: carnitas, rice, beans ,3 salsas, chiles with sauted onions, guacamole and chicharrones. To ensure that they stayed walm i put the food on party trays warmers. My guest loved it and was a hit ♥️🙏”

Restaurant is clean, service was passable but the highlight was the food - the quality of the appetizers and sushi was outstanding, fresh, and creative. The BOGO 50% off draft beer paired well with the delicious meal. Overall excellent value for both the happy hour and also the lunch menu.”

You get so much more fish at these types of poke places vs the ones that are chipotle style where you choose your mix-ins and sauce. I much prefer these types of poke places for the quality and value. Got the plate with one scoop of rice and seaweed salad - not the best seaweed salad, so I probably would choose two scoops of rice without seaweed salad next time. Also ordered a side of macaroni salad, it was just okay. I probably wouldn’t order that again. Overall, great poke and will be coming back!”

We decided to try here for something different for breakfast add were we definitely pleased!

We started with the guava and cheese gelatte, a pastry that pleasure senses like a soft plushy sledgehammer. WOW!

The Smiley Christo, a tasty breakfast sandwich that I did not want to stop as well as the Mc Muff… that was even better!

All washed down with a Buko Pandan Latte, iced, and a B.S. Palo Santo Latte, hot.

What a great way to start our travels!

“I have been here a few times and and I thought I reviewed it but I guess I didn't.
I popped in for a quick bite but I didn't have much time so I placed the order and went to go pick up. The online ordering process was so easy!

I walked in and the woman was so welcoming and told me my order would be right out. Her hospitality combines with the beautiful wall art, decorations and their Salvadorian pride flag gave such an inviting and warm atmosphere.

I ordered a couple Pupusa Revulta that had chicharon, beans and cheese in side and it was such a good combination! The Pupusa was cooked perfectly, the chicharon was so tender and flavorful and there was just the right amount of beans and cheese inside! Paired with the sides of salsa and pickled cabbage made for such a good meal!

Overall Silvia Pupuseria is a gem! I highly recommend it and can't wait to come back!”

“The bread here is amazing! I arrived in the morning around 830am and the smell is intoxicating in the best way. I ordered the regular pan de sal as well as the ube and cheese pan de sal. It's the best pan de sal I have ever had! It melts in your mouth and has the ideal pillowy texture you want. The ube variety has the cheese inside and it is perfect! You can't eat just 1. The customer service was great and the shop overall is well mantained. I am already planning my next trip back. It's a must try bakery.

“This coffee kiosk located inside Plaza Bonita makes some pretty good coffee. I had an iced Americano with 2% Milk and a dusting on cinnamon.

The iced coffee was well made and quite flavorful. They initially did not put enough milk in the coffee so I had to ask for more. They offer locally baked goods.

They service was good. The young lady who took my order had a good sense of humor. It's a good spot for coffee while you are at the mall.”

“Best hopia baboy in all of San Diego County. Might even be the best in all of Southern California, but I haven’t visited every place that sells hopia baboy just yet. I was disappointed to learn that another hopia place I like didn’t even have pork ingredients in their hopia baboy, which goes against the name, but this is unfortunately commonplace at Filipino bakeries. Since Ching’s primary focus is hopia rather than something else like pandesal or other baked goods, the hopia baboy remains authentic with real lard and no artificial flavors.”

I also got some orange chicken. It was good, but nothing I would make a special trip to get.”

“Yum! Glad this inspired little joint opened up on East Plaza Blvd. We needed a Japanese dessert place close by. Just returned from my Japan trip and sure do missed it. Had the strawberry sando which was very good. I'm not sure they are the same Japanese strawberries because Japan had the best organics ones. You will know the difference but sando here is delicious. I loved the mango sticky rice blend smoothie was GREAT! You will need a spoon to eat the chunks of goodness (sweet rice and mangos). The Genmai Honeydew was good if you like roasted matcha. The Oriental Cafe offers generous portions for generous prices and unless you've fasted the whole day you will be bringing home Leftovers.
The staff is friendly and efficient as they tend to the constant flow of customers that filled the humble establishment.
Some may take mark down this Cafe for its simplistic decor; but others, like myself, find it charming. And after trying their dishes, it only adds delight to find a nice whole in the wall that let's their dishes speak for themselves.
I recommend dining in because you will get a serving of their egg drop soup and it is absolutely worth trying. It's hearty flavor reminds you of the soup you wish you had on a cold day or when you're feeling under the weather.
This is an establishment that deserves its business and I am already planning on coming back and bringing more family to experience it themselves.”

“I can't believe I've driven past this place numerous times without realizing it was there! A friend of mine stopped by and brought Spanish bread, which was the best I've ever tasted, hands down! She mentioned that everything at this bakery is good, so I decided to visit for the first time, and it did not disappoint.

It's located in a strip mall, and the shop itself is quite small with limited items on the shelves. This is actually a good sign, as it indicates that they sell out quickly and make everything fresh daily, unlike another bakery I used to frequent where items would sit for days.

During my visit, I ordered siomai, cheese balls, pandesal, ube bread, pork asado siopao, guinataan, and pancit, and everything was excellent! The baked items, except for the guinataan and pancit, were all bite-sized, which I love. The cheese balls had just the right amount of cream cheese—not too much and not too little. They were my favorite!

As for the pancit, it contained liver, which I enjoy, so it was perfect for me and tasted delicious. It wasn’t greasy at all. However, a family member of mine doesn't like liver, so I’m wondering if Salie can make the pancit without liver for those who aren’t fans. I’ll have to ask.

All I can say is that everything I bought here was fresh and delicious! I will definitely be coming back again and again. Plus, the lady at the register was so sweet!”

I stopped by Sarku Japan at Plaza Bonita and was really impressed! The teriyaki meals are full of flavor and cooked fresh right in front of you and the sauce is tasty, the chicken was tender, and the veggies were crisp. The portions were generous, and it was a great value for what you get. I also tried some of their sushi rolls, and they were surprisingly good too. Service was fast and friendly even during a busy food-court lunch, and everything tasted fresh. Definitely my go-to spot when I want a quick, delicious Japanese meal while shopping! 🍱👍”

“I haven't been to Zarlitos in so long, maybe even years and nothing has changed! I came in wanting a simple Filipino breakfast and I found exactly that here!

I walked in and the restaurant was pretty big inside with lots of seating and it was nicelt decorated. The host sat me right away and gave me a menu. I did have to ask for water though but that's okay because there were only two people working from what I could see and there were a lot of take out orders coming in.

Initially, I asked for a small bowl of sinigan and they sais they only do large orders so i decided to skip it. I ordered the beef silog with a side of spam and lumpia. The beef was well seasoned but a little tough honestly, it was still really good the eggs were cooked perfectly, sunny side up and nice and runny. The garlic rice was a nice balance to the dish as well. The spam was cut at a decent thickness and added a good depth of flavor to the meal. And the lumpia was alao pretty good. Not the best I've ever had but still very enjoyable.

Overall it was good ans worth a visit if youre looking for a nice homemade meal.”

“I first discovered this coffee shop when I moved to National City, it’s two blocks away from my place hidden inside the oriental market. Ken coffee has a variety of Vietnamese coffee also along with boba drinks and so on. The barista there are welcoming and have great customer service and are very helpful.

While you’re waiting for your coffee you can shop around the store and get yourself some unique Asian snacks/food. This has become my favorite coffee shop and I recommend stopping to check it out.”

“we're lucky to find this place to cater late night snacks for our wedding reception. we ordered trays of their pork and veggie lumpia and turon. they were all a hit and tasted great that there was no leftover. there's still turon left but it's probably because everyone was full from our cake. the owner/server are very kind and accommodating to deliver to our venue even if late night. we just need to pay a bit extra which we understand since it's all the way to la jolla. overall satisfied and great memory for us!”

We decided to have our brunch after in laws morning appointment. Got lucky for a parking knowing it’s hard to get one on a weekend close to the restaurant. Attentive staff from start to finish. It was 930AM but decided not to order breakfast items instead ordered our regular UBER orders.

Ordered the following:

Crispy Pata - it’s a must for us! Crispy skin and juicy pata meat. Ordered Crispy Pata here five times last year through UBER since we just love how juicy and crispy it is.

Pansit Canton - well seasoned and great amount of toppings i.e veggies and meat. Noodles not overcooked.

Fresh Lumpia - not pictured. Fresh veggies wrapped in crepe with sweet savory peanut sauce completes the dish.

Highly recommend if you’re craving for some Filipino dishes.”
