“I stopped in for the first time and got a mango pineapple smoothie and it was DELICIOUS! One of the best smoothies I've had in a long time. Also the prices are fantastic. 6 bucks for a smoothie - best deal in SD. I saw in previous reviews that they only take cash but they take cards now also.“

Trolley Side Deli Deli • $$

“For so many people that take the Blue Line Trolley on a daily basis there are many stations that have their own snack and mini stores you can get most some things and there are others you may have to walk a block to get to the store many parts of the Downtown area with the Convention Center and the Gaslamp Trolley Center. There is one station that is in the National City where you can have tables to sit and have the cold soda or the Ice cream for the hot weather. National City 24th street Transit center has the many things you can have been able to catch the bus if you need to get over to the Plaza Bonita Shopping mall you have the many snacks centers that service many of the malls with the E street Trolley Center. With the many buses that come to the 24th Street Transit you have the snack center Deli which is open for the days and closes by the hours of the 600pm and on the weekends they do close by the hours of 500pm. With the many snacks and the drinks, they have with many specials they have you can get Monsters for 2 for $5.50 and the many other sodas like Cola Products that you can get two for $3.00. Where can you find Danish? There are many times you want things you can get and catch the bus at the 24th street Trolley Center. The Trolley Side Deli is one of the best to have the coldest drinks and to pick up some of the best snacks you can get if you need hot sandwiches, they have some of the best if you need a warmup, they can help you out and getting you ready off to the bus or the Trolley. The Side Car Deli does accept EBT and Debit cards the early mornings and the evenings can be busy with the Side Car Deli they have the many things fresh goods and some of the best coffee and the Little Debbie Snacks you can find the many snacks and drinks at the Side Car Deli. With the many bus drivers that come and get things to eat many drivers only have so much time for the break the Side Car Deli has been there to help. Owners of the store are the most welcoming with the many times I have come there it has been the best times with the many products. As a Yelp Elite Reviewer with the many places that I have visited there have been many that have been around since the 1970s and the 80s yet there have been many that still. have the best service and the snacks that you remember when you were a teenager. The Side Car Deli has all the traits and the special flare with the many snacks from the cokes to the Chips with the great welcome to the many that come and shop there. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to one and all.“

Chamango Mango Deli • $$
101 N Highland Ave suite d, National City

“I've been coming to this amazing spot since 2021, and they serve the most delicious Esquites (Mexican corn in a cup) I've ever tasted. Whenever I'm in the area, I make it a priority to stop by and treat myself to this savory delight. One thing that stands out is the care and attention they put into preparing it, ensuring that the servings are well-proportioned. Another great aspect is the ability to personalize it to your liking by adding or removing any ingredients you desire. Overall, it's been a delightful experience, and I highly recommend giving it a try if you're in the neighborhood.“

“It's food you can't find anywhere else. The Francesinha Portugal is such a unique sandwich, and the Pennsylvania Dutch smoked sub melts in your mouth. The croque monsieur and croque madame sandwiches are out of this world. Outstanding service and location.I rank this place 5/5 on service, friendliness, quality of food and European flair ambiance.“

“Awasome friendly and helpful service! I found myself starving and stuck in down town and am on a postop liquid based restricted diet. The guy at the counter(east coast possible owner) was right on it and hooked me with an amazing creamy pinto bean soup. Great atmosphere. Simple and chill. Very east coast vibe. Love it.“

“The food here is excellent! The family that owns it are wonderful! All their sandwiches are so good. We drive from Ramona to eat here, since we moved out of the area. They are always happy to see you and they know so many of their customers. The place is clean but very small. I wish they had one in the North county. The drive is well worth by it!“

“Cowabunga dudes and dudettes! If you're cruising for some righteous eats after catching some totally tubular waves, then make sure to hang ten into the Surf Side Deli in Point Loma. Located in a funky little strip mall full of fishing shops, this bodacious deli serves up some gnarly grub that will leave your tastebuds hanging five. Scoring a parking spot can be a bit of a bummer with all the switched-on surfers filling up the lot, but it's well worth maneuvering into a tight spot to soak up the heavenly aromas wafting from this hip hole-in-the-wall. One whiff of the fresh baked bread, veggie crispers and premium deli meats and you'll be amped to snag a table. I bellied up and ordered the Admiral's Avocado Delight sandwich - which may just be the most epic thing ever assembled between two slices of bread! Layers of creamy avocado, veggies galore and thinly sliced meats dripping with flavor all came together into the most mouthwatering meal since I paddled out at Pipeline. This glorious sandwich was a totally tubular taste treat! I washed it all down with an Arnold Palmer, which was a tasty mix of lemonade and iced tea. But as stoked as I was on the eats, I was majorly bummed that this bodacious deli closes up shop at 5pm. With my day gig keeping me hanging ten in the office late into the evenings, their early close makes scoring a handcrafted sandwich a bit tricky. So if you're looking to get pitted on some awesome eats, be sure to carve out some time before five and make the epic journey to the Surf Side Deli in Point Loma. Cowabunga! This shoreline shack serves up the sickest sandwiches in town - but you gotta get there fast before they shut it all down. A shore thing for good times and great food!“

“This place is a GEM! Fantastic selection of domestic and imported cheeses, drinks, snacks. They have a lot of locally made gourmet foods available. Great craft beer and wine (local and imported) selection. It's located close to Pure Project and I recommend getting food here first. They have a fantastic and reasonably price deli inside with tons of food options all prepared fresh. You can tell this place is a neighborhood staple.“
