“I enjoyed the sea salt caramel ice cream. I don't like that they don't do samples, even a 2 or 3 sample minimum per person would be good. For that, I saw go to Salt & Straw instead. Handel's has big portions even for a small, so it's difficult to try a new flavor without being wasteful.“
“Take-out review 2/24 Had the chance to try their yummy desserts at a family dinner. The cheesecake was SOOO good! Light, fluffy, slightly sweet (as most Asian desserts are). Priced around $19, which is actually reasonable compared to most dessert/pie/cake equivalents. Japanese desserts feel light, so even after a hearty meal, you still want it! Also tried the matcha tiramisu. Sorry no photo. It was gone before I could snap a photo. This was a bit pricey at $14 for a small round. Considering the price of matcha though, the price really is warranted. Strong slightly bitter matcha flavor. Lucious creamy filling. Not overly sweet. It was a bit out of the way for them to pick up. However, who else but family is worth it? Right?“
“A legendary San Diego area ice cream shop that I finally got to stop by yesterday and wow was I impressed! It's a little tucked away hidden gem in National City that serves delicious ice cream made daily with quality ingredients and with many unique flavors! The lady serving me was so friendly and told me about how their ice cream was made and how they developed flavors back in the day after talking with sailors coming back from deployment. I ended up getting 2 scoops with my flavor choices being Honey Bourbon Fig & Sweet Cream Peanut Butter. The ice cream here is amazing and my 2 scoops were delicious! The honey bourbon fig was quite interesting and a great flavor combination that I would order again and my favorite of the 2 but sweet cream peanut butter was also tasty with a good amount of peanut butter mixed in! This shop easily gets a 5/5 recommendation from me and you should definitely stop by to get ice cream here and it's easy to grab and go or you can even get a half gallon container if you want to take some home!“

“Oh my freaking goodness! This place is amazing! There are so many things to choose from. We were headed to a drive-in movie, otherwise I would've bought some paletas to take home. There was only one person working behind the counter, so service was a little slow (totally understandable though, plus the snowballs are custom made for you), but the staff was friendly and very patient.I ended up getting an ube snowball w/ lychee ice cream & condensed milk on top. I was pregnant at the time, so it was definitely enough to fill me up. I still dream about it to this day, the flavors were on point and it was just so delicious. Next time I go back I need to get a bunch of paletas -- which you can customize as well.“
“Raspados Are really good. The vanilla one is amazing. what I really do appreciate is the fact that they fill it up halfway and they put lechera in the middle, and then they add the lechera on top as well. It's the Lil things. Will be coming back :)“
“Fantastic place to get Ice Cream. I would recommend their Fruiti Pop milk-based ice creams. They have a ton of flavors - the Cookies and Cream one is delicious. The prices here are also amazing, $8 for 12. It might be a bit tricky to find, you have to walk down a driveway on the corner of the block before you'll see it. It looks very run down, but the owners are very nice. They don't speak too much English but enough to make a transaction. Absolutely amazing ice cream 10/10.“
“Amazing customer service! We wandered in 5 min before closing and the guy still let me ask tons of questions and let me try all the options I wasn't familiar with. Everything was so tasty!! We ended up ordering the Canastita Michoacána. You get 3 scoops of your choice of (only Lord knows how many) wonderfully delicious flavors of ice cream. I chose Guanabana, passion fruit and mango. 2 choices of fruit topping, I chose papaya and mango. Topped with whipped cream and strawberry syrup in a waffle bowl . Everything tastes so heavenly! Of course you may encounter some seeds depending on what you order, but that's how you know you are eating REAL fruit! The store has a cute ambiance and there is plenty of seating for those who want to dine in. Do yourself a favor this summer and stop by when you get a chance! You will not be disappointed!“
“The ice cream is delicious! I was able to sample several flavors, all of them tasty. I got a double scoop of Gansito. It was so nostalgic and delicious! Did anyone else put your Gansitos in the freezer? (A Gansito is "a strawberry-flavored jelly and crème-filled cake with chocolate-flavored coating.", for those that don't know) I was welcomed with warmth and so much patience. I wish I lived closer and I would be a regular. If you are anywhere near here and need a treat, it is worth it!“

“My partner and I went in around a quarter after 8AM on a Saturday. There was a small line, and it was out the door, but we did not wait long. Firstly, I just want to say the the service was great. The ladies behind the counter were very attentive and really friendly. Absolutely all smiles. The seating area was decently sized and you can fit in a few people if you just want to stay inside and have your breakfast. We opted for the croissant sandwiches, number 3 to be exact. We weren't expecting them to be huge, but be warned, they are! You can easily split half if you aren't keen on a big sandwich. It was delicious and well worth it. I think we will try the same one next time, but with bacon. We also got a delicious Vietnamese coffee and it was sweet and strong! If you aren't used to it, just a heads up. We did purchase half a dozen donuts prior to this day, and it was all delicious. They even threw in a few extra donut holes! Definitely will have to try the other variety of donuts they have. Quite a selection including massive donuts! This was honestly a great place and we'll be purchasing donuts from here all the time!“
