“Loved it! Went earlier today and I ordered an iced latte and 6 pack of filled malasadas. My coffee was great, far better than other coffee shops I’ve tried in National City, and was made surprisingly quick. The malasadas were warm and fresh, but some of the fillings were a little too artificial to my liking. Service was also great, the young girl at the front definitely gave off that Aloha vibe, and guided me through the menu as I was a little confused at first. Got my malasadas within 15 minutes, would recommend.“

“So, I wanted a sourcream donut, but no one was taking orders because only one person was working. I had to use the kiosk, but they have only one and there was a line and the two people in front of me didn't seem to know how to use the kiosk, plus I noticed that you have to pay at the kiosk with the app because of a sign stating that there isn't anyone to take your cash payment. So I decided to download the app and place my order. But I noticed that the entire menu wasn't available in the app, just a selection of what they (DD) wanted to sell you, including, but not limited to half and full dozen donuts. I could see the variety of donuts available, but they were not available in the app. I asked the person that was attending to drive through and she said "whatever we have is in the app and I really don't have any control over that". I asked if I could order À-la carte and she said she couldn't take my order because she was busy and I needed to order from the kiosk or online. I let her know that what I wanted wasn't available in the app and if she could substitute the donut that I wanted and she said "no, I can't, whatever you order is what you will get". So I ordered in the app and asked her again if she could give me a sourcream donut instead of the glazed and she that she cannot. Plus I asked her for no ice in my cold brew and she still added ice saying that the app doesn't have a provision for no ice. So, bottom line is, I'm disappointed with DD for not having suficiente staff on duty and not having their application configured properly so we can order what we want and the way we want it.“

“Amazing breakfast sandwiches and the FRESHEST donut I have ever tasted. I had my breakfast sandwich on a bagel, but members of our party of seven had the croissant breakfast sandwich, which looked delicious. Highly recommend. It's definitely worth the wait in line.“

“Nice family run doughnut shop. I had the old-fashioned maple bar. I was larger than most and tasted good. The bar cost me $1.75, which included a couple of doughnut holes.

The shop, although small, offers a good variety of doughnuts. They also affer drip coffee and croissant breakfast sandwiches. The shop offers three tables inside and no outside seating.

“As someone who has often worked in or around small airports, I learned, early on, that pilots always make sure to have good food nearby, and Christy's is no exception. And, as a dough-"nut," I believe that Christy's serves up what may well be the finest donuts in Southern California, (...and I've tasted most of the overpriced/novelty hipster ones. Christy's texture is significantly different from most every other doughnut I've had -- the cake varieties anyway -- and her glazes are also superbly applied with loving care; take a close look. And, each time I've been here, the donuts could have been used in a photo shoot. What the proprietors perhaps lack in a pretense of fawning, they make up tenfold in a quality product. The lady *(I presume Christy?), who's most often here when I've been here said they've been in the space for over 35 years. So - give her a break. “Just a hole in the wall donut shop offering traditional tasty donuts. I have to say with everyone describing the dough as fluffy.... they are spot on. There's something about it that's so soft and almost has the melt in your mouth feeling.
We ordered an old fashioned glazed and chocolate, as well as a chocolate twist. The gentleman that helped us was so nice and helpful. He gave us 2 donut holes for each of pur orders. It may not seem like much but this is a nice gesture for any guest.

My husband ordered the iced mocha coffee, he said it was ok. I ordered a hot coffee with cream. I have to say that the coffee was bold and good. I didn't expect that.

Definitely will be back for the good donuts and good prices!

“Best doughnuts! ? I had a cake doughnut and my family members had maple glaze and traditional glazed as well as the jelly filled ones. All were EXCELLENT! Not greasy, not dry, full of flavor and fluffy. Even the cake doughnuts were fluffy and super soft. Soooo good! We are very picky with doughnuts but this place exceeded our expectations. The service was excellent too. We were greeted by the two people working there with a warm smile and hello (I’m assuming they were the owners). Very nice people. Their donuts are freshly baked every morning, which is when I recommend stopping by because they're hot and fresh. They also have a huuge selection of drinks and snacks. “This is probably Palm ave’s best kept secret. I remember trying their donuts a few years back and weren’t impressed, but not sure if new management or just didn’t get the right variety that time. Anyways, these are the CRUNCHIEST old fashioned, buttermilk bar and apple fritters I’ve ever had and they’re delicious. They are on the smaller side but I think that’s what gives them their amazing texture. The regular chewy donuts are amazing too - I love coconut! Love them so much we came here two days in a row lol.They do accept card despite older photos saying cash only but I think there may be a fee. Definitely making this our regular spot!“
