We used to get donut holes from here 16 years ago as anoying kids with our friends in high school before class started. We're now in our 30s and still live nearby. For the past 16 years, regardless if we were annoying loud teens or high tipping adults... the owners and staff have always welcomed and served us well and with kindness. It's still our go to donut stop <3 This place has genuine soul.“

“Love this place! I went to this donut shop 30 minutes before closing and they had a large variety of donuts to pick from, and most importantly they were fresh and tasted delicious. Their donuts have a very unique and comforting taste, I don’t know how to explain it, but you have to try them. In my eyes, the donuts weren’t as big as the other reviews claimed, but they were a good size to say the least. I was pleasantly surprised that a dozen donuts is only $15?!?!! I’ve been going to Yum Yum donuts and I pay $25 for a dozen donuts that are stale, hard, and they often don’t have much variety by the end of the day. I’ve gone to other mom and pop shops and their donuts have also been stale on several occasions, so I was really hoping they wouldn’t be stale, but this place really surpassed my expectations all around. This will be my new go-to donut spot for sure. The employees were very friendly and patient. Do bring cash though because this is a cash only shop, although they kindly accepted Cashapp and Venmo.“

“I’ve lived in the area for years and finally tried this place—what a little treasure in our community! I needed to pick up 5 dozen donuts for my team at work, and since I was heading in early, I placed the order a couple of days ahead. They took down all the details, including a small special request, with no problem. When I arrived at 5am for pickup, everything was ready and absolutely perfect! From the friendly service to the delicious donuts, the whole experience was fantastic. I’ll definitely be back!“

“Best Apple Fritter in town!! I am an apple fritter connoisseur and I have to say this is the best one i’ve ever had!! It was even later in the day around 4pm and it was still fresh and delicious! I also tried their Maple bar, Coconut donut, and Maple Bacon. Their Coconut was okay, a little dry i’d say. Otherwise great donuts!!“

“Me and my son stopped by as I was craving donuts and ive been here once a long time ago. I came in ordered my food and drink got a few donuts and when it was time to pay I did not have my debit card in my purse I left it at home I was so embrassed and I apoligized for it I told the lady I would be back , luckly I dont live far I came back and she looked surprised lol but they made my food and drink again and I was very aplogitic and the lady was nice about it and gave me a free donut. I did not have cash to tip and paying with my card didnt give me an option I will be back with cash tip. The food and ice coffee was good will be back again.“

“The best apple fritters in the area. I actually weigh them with my digital scale and they stay consistent with the weight. Compared to other places that use more sugar the ratio of dough to glaze is good here at least for my taste. The cashiers have always been friendly.“

“They have a variety of flavors. The beverages were super cute. We went on a girls date. Mothers and daughters. It was a fun expensive experience because after enjoying our treats there I also took a box home to share with the family. I specially liked being able to take apart the donut because it was easy for everyone to taste all the flavors. They use Costco links for their corndogs so you know they are 100% beef.“

A classic neighborhood donut shop that is superior among the novelty places because they consistently prove that less is more & donuts don’t need to come in crazy flavors or with excessive toppings. The original donuts are fluffy with a slight crisp on the outside and melt in your mouth. Our favorites are the APPLE FRITTER - crispy crunchy chewy goodness, and of course, the buttermilk and old fashioned ones- always crispy and freshly fried to perfection.“

“Just a short walk from where we stay on San Ysidro Blvd. whenever I'm in San Diego. Love this little bakery/coffee shop. We don't have a Yum Yum on the East Coast! This must be a West Coast place so it's a little treat when I come to this side of the country! The staff are super kind and friendly too. “I was really dragging this morning. I didn't even want to get out of bed, I had work today. I went into yum yum to get some coffee. I didn't want Starbucks coffee that coffee is disgusting. I wanted to really strong coffee like Vietnamese or something. I went in there sluggish and down. Moses was there full of energy, gave me a really warm greeting. I told him what what I wanted and he's like what else unfortunately we don't have that but he was so eager to help me and give me whatever I needed. I just got a regular coffee he made sure if I wanted room. I did actually want room for my cream. It seems ridiculous but his body language and his vibe was everything I needed this morning to get my day started. I left there in a great mood from that small interaction and I felt compelled to write him a review. I don't get that from places often, especially nowadays. And I think this man deserves credit for going above and beyond. Just making people days better with warm attentive energy.

I asked for his name before I left and I wanted to write him something. Please do something special for him. I hope management sees this. He's a special guy at least buy him lunch sometime or something really“

“Good option for an open late slot to sit down at a table with beverage and a snack, but sometimes it feels like the employees will turn the a.c. off and crank the music to extremely loud, possibly to discourage diners from hanging out, this doesn't always happen, but when you are being nugded out...you will know with certainty that you are no longer welcome.“
