But overall it was amazing. my visits there i've always eaten lunch there and ended up taking dinner.”

“I am new to IB and am just so impressed with Katy's Cafe! They are busy (so you know they're good!), but they get your order out quick. The staff is friendly, inviting and accommodating! I had my dog and daughter and they could obviously tell that I had my hands full and brought my order outside to me without me even asking. I have definitely found my go to local coffee shop!”

“Wow! I’ve been ignoring this Thai spot for awhile now but got their takeout and I’m impressed. Fresh, authentic, quality. Their chicken satay is nice and tender, great spice levels on Pad Thai and Panang Curry, and fantastic thai iced tea and sticky mango rice. Their dips/sauces are all homemade and tasty! Lunch specials also a great deal, nice full size service. Service is on point as well (helped me carry the drinks to my car!) Thanks for a fantastic meal, IB Thai! Also nice to see they support locals.”

“I found the BEST pizza in San Diego. Crust was just right! Not too thick not too thin. The sauce was flavorful with the right amount of spices. My pizza was not greasy from the toppings. We ordered a Greek salad that was crisp and very fresh. The dressing was superb! What a tasty meal. I will be back!”

“As the author of The Grant Colson Thriller Series and SERA Archives Thriller Series, I’ve spent a lot of time around Cow-A-Bunga Ice Cream & Coffee, and it’s one of those classic local spots that’s hard to miss.

This is a simple walk-in ice cream shop, but that’s part of the appeal. It’s right near the IB Pier Plaza with plenty of seating around, so you can grab a scoop and head outside to enjoy it by the beach.

I’ve had more scoops here over the years than I can count. The flavor selection is excellent, with plenty of fun options, and it’s the kind of place you keep coming back to without thinking twice.

The staff is always super friendly, which adds a lot to the experience. It’s quick, easy, and welcoming every time.

Inside, the artwork on the walls gives the place a fun, laid-back personality that fits perfectly with the beach vibe. It’s also the kind of relaxed setting I’ve thought about while writing The Maui Desire Romance Series, where simple moments like this can carry a scene.

“Decided to stop in for some sushi on my last night here in San Diego. The place was small, but flavors were huge! I ordered two appetizers and two rolls, and all of it was fantastic quality. I definitely left full. I will be back several times over the next 6 months, and I will absolutely come back here. Highly recommended!”

“I DO recommend Pizza Port, however their pizza is not consistent. You can definitely tell if they are busy or not, the quality goes down. A few weeks ago the pizza was delicious, beautiful even (I wish I would have taken a picture) lol. Today, not so much , picture included. I will continue to eat here just hoping the pizza becomes more consistent”

“After Gustave had catered an event at our preschool for the second time, he invited my colleagues and I to come by his new location in downtown, and we did! He served us personally and recommended just the right menu items for our preferences (vegetarian, spicy, mild,...), ordered them and served them. We thoroughly enjoyed the tasty hotdogs, corn and fries. Let's not forget about the drinks from the Abbey and the sweet desert: churro with ice cream! The atmosphere was casual, festive with the strings of lights and the very recently installed inflatable penguin on the roof, that conveyed Holiday cheer! Thank you Gus for a delightful evening!”

“This is the perfect place if you’re looking for a cozy Italian dinner outing. The staff were attentive and polite. We were seated right away and our server gave some good recommendations. Their bread and butter is so good, we had to control ourselves before the entrees came! Salad was big and we got the smaller portion. We tried the Works and that was so fulfilling. They are not greedy with their cheese. Our favorite was the garlic cheese bread. We could eat that alone and be happy. The ravioli was good the kids liked it with some extra seasoning. Lastly the chocolate cake was very rich and sent us home full and happy.”

“One of the nicest Del Taco I've visited.
I was in the area and was craving Del taco. This location happened to be near by. Plenty of free parking. The restaurant is large and super clean. The staff is friendly. I ordered aa breakfast burrito with steak and a value bean and cheese burrito. Both were quickly freshly prepared and tasted yummy.
They have plenty of indoor seating. Also a nice outdoor patio. First time seeing an outdoor patio at Del Taco. Everything looked new.”
