“I am new to IB and am just so impressed with Katy's Cafe! They are busy (so you know they're good!), but they get your order out quick. The staff is friendly, inviting and accommodating! I had my dog and daughter and they could obviously tell that I had my hands full and brought my order outside to me without me even asking. I have definitely found my go to local coffee shop!”

“This place is seriously great food with great prices. There is really no need to ever get fast food with this place serving better food at the same price you would pay at fast food burger places. The staff is always wonderful and make it a great place to eat. My family and I have never been disappointed with the burgers, wings or tenders. If you are in the area, don't hesitate to stop here. You will not be disappointed.”

“New favorite Thai place. The food was excellent and as spicy as advertised which I loved. The dumplings were good as well. Ordered takeout but the staff was friendly and the restaurant seemed to have a nice atmosphere”

“I don't have any pictures unfortunately. Inside was pretty alright. Nothing too fancy nor exotic like Sushi Roll off of Broadway. -Looked like it used to be a Fast Food chain before it became Meijo Sushi judging by the drive thru. This gave me vibes that of Niban Japanese Restaurant near Convoy. The food such as the sushi however is one of my top favorites of all sushi/Japanese restaurants I've been to. I highly recommend the Seared Ahi Roll. First time trying it, and haven't seen that anywhere else especially near home. Arguably to myself, one of my favorite sushis out there. I even took my girlfriend here and that was a successful date. This just goes to show, never judge a restaurant by its interior. The food was spectacular. It's in a plaza and parking is plentiful.”

“I DO recommend Pizza Port, however their pizza is not consistent. You can definitely tell if they are busy or not, the quality goes down. A few weeks ago the pizza was delicious, beautiful even (I wish I would have taken a picture) lol. Today, not so much , picture included. I will continue to eat here just hoping the pizza becomes more consistent”

“Great karoake on the weekends!! Bingo and trivia throughout the week.Make sure you get some fries. Also have food specials daily. The owners are in the building frequently and make everyone feel welcome regardless of race, sex or creed. There's room for everyone at this bar!!”

“As the author of The Grant Colson Thriller Series and SERA Archives Thriller Series, I’ve spent a lot of time around Cow-A-Bunga Ice Cream & Coffee, and it’s one of those classic local spots that’s hard to miss.

This is a simple walk-in ice cream shop, but that’s part of the appeal. It’s right near the IB Pier Plaza with plenty of seating around, so you can grab a scoop and head outside to enjoy it by the beach.

I’ve had more scoops here over the years than I can count. The flavor selection is excellent, with plenty of fun options, and it’s the kind of place you keep coming back to without thinking twice.

The staff is always super friendly, which adds a lot to the experience. It’s quick, easy, and welcoming every time.

Inside, the artwork on the walls gives the place a fun, laid-back personality that fits perfectly with the beach vibe. It’s also the kind of relaxed setting I’ve thought about while writing The Maui Desire Romance Series, where simple moments like this can carry a scene.

Overall, it’s a great local stop. Simple, reliable, and exactly what you want after spending time near the pier.”

“I found the BEST pizza in San Diego. Crust was just right! Not too thick not too thin. The sauce was flavorful with the right amount of spices. My pizza was not greasy from the toppings. We ordered a Greek salad that was crisp and very fresh. The dressing was superb! What a tasty meal. I will be back!”

“Hole in the wall joint that by far the best Mexican in Alpine. My go to is the bean and cheese with a side pastor taco and a side of rice. I then put the pastor and rice in the burrito, absolutely delicious and perfect portions. Also the crew is awesome , it’s next to the brewery which allows you to take it in. All around awesome!!”

The sign on the bar said 25 dollars for a hat but the owner happened to be there and told Tom that it's 30 dollars now. Shouldn't have the price advertised on the bar and then change it willy nilly. That part kinda sucked but otherwise I really loved the place!”

“I love stopping by Arandas Café whenever I’m in Imperial Beach. It’s such a cute little spot and it always feels cozy. This time I got a matcha, their freshly squeezed orange juice, the Monte Cristo, and a parfait — everything was so fresh and honestly so yummy. The vibe is calm, the people are sweet, and it’s just one of those places you’re happy you found. Definitely one of my little go-to gems.”

“After Gustave had catered an event at our preschool for the second time, he invited my colleagues and I to come by his new location in downtown, and we did! He served us personally and recommended just the right menu items for our preferences (vegetarian, spicy, mild,...), ordered them and served them. We thoroughly enjoyed the tasty hotdogs, corn and fries. Let's not forget about the drinks from the Abbey and the sweet desert: churro with ice cream! The atmosphere was casual, festive with the strings of lights and the very recently installed inflatable penguin on the roof, that conveyed Holiday cheer! Thank you Gus for a delightful evening!”

She is very sweet and kind and has a heart of gold. We live in Chula Vista but my family will make the drive just to come to this Cold Stone to interact with Ilenia!”

“Fun crowd, ample drink selections so much space to sit down and drink with friends or family. Pool tables are available as well, although I’m not sure how much the price to play is, or if it’s free. Bartenders are friendly and cool. Couple of food spots in the immediate area to eat at after, definitely worth a visit in the area. Their bullpen token concept is also very cool!”

“The canes here is outdoors which is cool and it is has a good atmosphere. My food always comes out hot and the canes sauce is delicious! But, I removed a star because the chicken fingers are always small. Staff is nice.”
