“Quiero Taco has moved into City Taco's location at Mike Hess Brewing. Although City Tacos and Quiero Tacos are of from the same family, the difference is that Quiero Tacos offers breakfast, as City Tacos does not. That being said, I ordered a pair of sunshine tacos with their eggs scrambled. The tacos came with delicious re-fried chorizo beans, pico de gallo, house-made red salsa, and garnished with a sliver of fresh avocado at $3.50 a piece. The tacos were delicious. I liked that the corn tortillas had that wet appearance from adding a touch of oil to the hot griddle. The eggs were very well scrambled and seasoned, but what really shined were the beans. They were outstanding. The pico was fresh and tasty, and the house red salsa was very tasty and provided a medium heat. I a little more or larger slice of avocado would be nice.Sophia and Frida were both very nice. Sophia was super welcoming and helpful, and Frida was full of smiles. I love happy service and great food.“
“Nice location with very limiting seating. I came in at 7:00am on Saturday. The bench stools were still up on the table I thought is was closed, I almost drove off. There were several people ahead of me. The cashier was working both the drive through and the front register. She was hustling both fine and with a GREAT attitude. She always had a smile. My food was slow to come out but I believe it’s more of a staffing issue. My food was fresh and delicious. Some Constructive criticism. Please have dine in trays as it makes it easier and sanitary when eating in. The restrooms were decent. Definitely coming back. Thank you.“
“Truly the best birria taco I’ve ever had combined with wonderful service and hospitality makes this a must visit for anyone in San Diego, even if it’s out of the way.We got the combo with 4 different types of birria taco and all of them were spectacular. The queso and chupacabra were my personal favourites but I’m not sure you could go wrong with anything here. Two tacos will fill you up. Four will make you ready to burst at the seams. The birria is so tender, juicy, and flavourful without being overseasoned (which is one of the pitfalls a lot of these places have). The consommé is to die for- spectacularly flavourful, rich, meaty, without being overly fatty. You could really drink it as a soup. Get the agua fresca to wash it all down and to help cut through the richness of the birria.Even leftover hours later, these tacos were absolutely incredible. What’s telling is also when cooled, you don’t see the standard layer of fat you might see on the consommé from other places. Really high quality stuff from people who have been making this for clearly a very long time and who have it down to an artWe were also the only foreign people there but they were extremely friendly and patient with explaining each of their choices and their recommendations. Really a super warm, family run place that deserves all of its incredible accolades.“
“We were treated so well here! The service was wonderful! Chips and guacamole, battered shrimp tacos, carne asada tacos, quesadillas all DELICIOUS!!Kid-friendliness: Extremely kid friendly! Made to order tacos off menu to accommodate our little one. They ensured a very kid friendly experience all around!!! 5-stars!!“
“The food here absolutely amazing! The quality and amount of food you get is so worth it. The salsa absolutely 10/10 the breakfast burritos 11/10. Not only that the customer service tops the whole experience off everyone was so kind. If you're in the area make sure you stop in you won't regret it.“
“Located on Logan Avenue in the Barrio Logan neighborhood of San Diego, this small restaurant offers delicious, authentic tacos. We enjoyed the swordfish tacos and coconut battered shrimp tacos. We also enjoyed the Coco Pudding with fresh berries We were disappointed that they did not offer to go options because we wanted to take our food to watch the sunset. They were out of a couple options we wanted to try. We arrived at 6:30ish p.m. and found a parking spot in front of the restaurant.“
“Al Pastor Town truely lives up to their name as they offer 5 unique types of Al pastor meats and more. I was there when they opened at noon and got the Al Pastor Roio Burrito.Service was pretty slow but the staff were great. Eventually, I got the burrito and took the most blissful first bite. The burrito was packed with meat where every bite caused juices to come gushing out and cover every taste bud. Just when I thought it couldn't get better, I tried using their 2 sauces: salsa verde (not very spicy) and what I think is mango habanero (spicier). The owner really played matchmaker because the burrito and the sauces was a complete match. 5/5 I'll need to come back and try the rest of the flavors.Atmosphere was great imo but is not for everybody. The place is inside a mart and is not really a place to sit down and dine.“
“This place came recommended, and well, it didn't disappoint, although it didn't wow me either. Perhaps I wasn't in a mood, but I rate it 7. There are 3 locations, and we went to the 2nd location on Main Street. Portions were good, tad too expensive for the quality of food. All in all, it was ok.“
“If you're like me, from somewhere else and you are looking for the perfect taco experience, look no further. This isn't my first time, and this time, I sorted it sorted by actual customers. I walked in because the group of ten dudes looked local and it seemed to be their spot.I ordered three tacos al pastor. The nice young lady behind the counter asked if I wanted to mix it up and suggested the asada. I decided to take the suggestion and made it four tacos instead. What came out, and quickly at that, was beyond my wildest street taco dreams. The recommended beef was the most flavorful taco meat I have ever had.It was less than $20 and the four tacos were almost too stuffed with meat, it was held in by a wrapper I had never seen before, but there were no complaints from me.I felt like I picked the best place.“
“This place is delicious!!! I was impressed with the service and quality of the food! Tacos El Gordo and Ahumaderas is a 1 out of 5 compared to this place! I didn’t even know this place existed until family members came from out of state and we looked for a good taco place. Their carne asada and adobada is DELICIOUS! The agua frescas are so good and the churros yum yum yum! You must try!“
“These are some damn good tacos! I got the pollo and al pastor, and the al pastor was better. Both were excellent but the pork had a better flavor than the chicken. I'm normally a pretty picky eater but the whole bite was great and worked extremely well together.“
“The adobada is a must try when you're here! I got one but I suspect I should have gotten two... and maybe the adobada fries. I will be back! It's a bit confusing for your first time, but the security guards are great at directing people into the respective meat lines to order. If possible, I would also ask for extra onions and cilantro since they seem to skimp on this a bit. Ambience: I can see how it gets busy in here, by the time I was done with both meat lines I was able to snag a seat by the window counter. Everyone I interacted with who worked there was friendly, patient and helpful.“
“Probably the healthiest grab-and-go option on the beach! Service was fast and friendly. The ceviche was delicious and fresh. The inside of the restaurant was cute and clean, but it's so close to the beach that I found a bench with an ocean view to eat at. I want to try the shrimp tacos next.“
“This place is authentic, delicious, fast, and affordable. Everything you could ever want in your neighborhood Mexican place, and much better than some over hyped places like tacos El Gordo or Oscars. The location is a bit sketchy, but like come on... Isn't that where the best Mexican food is? And like when I'm done eating, you can feel it on the way out the next day if you know what I mean, but that only adds to the excellence that is Humerto's! But actually though, I wouldn't overdo it on their salsa as it can be quite spicy.Overall, I'd absolutely recommend this as a go to quick take out place for authentic and cheap Mexican food!“
“Yes, we get it, there’s tons of homeless people outside. What do you expect, you’re in a trolley station in DT, San Diego. Lets focus on the taco shop though. Prices are great, staff is fast, really friendly, and patient considering the type of customers that come inside and food is good. I often get the roll tacos or the cali burrito and they never disappoint.“
“Great music and even better food. The Adobada is fantastic and they run a deal on Mondays for it. The carne asada was also very good. Taco Machin is the local favorite. They are hand making the tortillas and chips. Everything is wonderful. This place is “
“I had the Mahi Mahu sandwich with a side of calamari. Hands down most delicious I've had in a really long time. I gad the sandwich without sauce, but the garlic butter sauce on the side and the sandwich was phenomenal without the sauce, but even better with it! 10 out of 10 recommend and will go back anytime I'm in Point Loma!“
“I don’t know who gave this place lower than 5 stars but it couldn’t have been because of the food. It’s THE best taco joint I’ve ever been to. And for someone raised in AZ and then spent about 4 years in both SoCal and NorCal, I know what I’m talking about. I had three tacos and chips and salsa. It was almost more than I could eat and I was hungry! Here are the biggest things for me other than the taste of the meats. They literally have (at least) six different salsas. The two brought out with the chips were a green one with cilantro and chunks of avocado. Not spicy enough for me but loved the make up. The other red one is probably in my top 3 salsas ever. The right amount of spice (I like spicy) with great taste and garlic! The other four salsas were decent that came out with the tacos, but for me, the fact that they have six salsas to choose from. Are you kidding me? Great job on whom ever came up with this! Knocked it out of the park. Oh, and btw, Cali beats AZ in overall Mexican food. Just sayin…“
“They are right outside a liquor store in a parking lot, which I love. Honestly, when I saw that, I knew I had to try them. They are open everyday starting at 5pm. They have a large variety of food options. We tried the asada and adobada. Probably the best weve had so far. It's very difficult to find good authentic tasting tacos in the U.S. in my opinion. These were so good that we're going to come back. They are family run and they are very nice.“
“Oh my goodness... It is not fair that I didn't have money to buy more. This was legitimately the best taco I've ever had. I want another one! Or three! Or maybe five! I definitely want more. I gotta make sure to hold on to $21 for their combo next week.“
“Was looking to grab some quick takeout mexican and came across this spot right off the 163 and gennesse. Its a food truck semi permanently parked on the American legion parking lot on the corner. Menu is limited, even more so when they told me thier fryer was down. So I ordered 2 tacos and the quesadilla. Total with tax and tip was $20. This better be some dam goood birria for that price. Took a seat while waiting for my food, they have a few bar tops with high chairs scattered under a pop up awning as well as a 2 tables with 4 chairs set up. Not too long later they brought out my food telling me that the hot sauce was also in there. Got home and opened up the bag and was immediately disappointed in the portion sizes. Even the hot sauce they included was underwhelming. It was first time I had gotten hot sauce in baggies like I was buying some drugs. Reminded me of baggies of crack you see on tv and in movies being sold o the streets. Pretty funny until you realize this is no where near enough sauce for a meal. I first tried the taco, with the red hot sauce. The taco was good, good tasting birria and fresh onions and cilantro, and a nice tasting tortilla. The hot sauce didn't even last a single taco. Up next is the quesadilla. This was the highlight of my meal. Cheesy meaty goodness, this was worth the $10 price tag. Plenty of cheese, plenty of meat, great flavor. Overall good food but the portion size is a little off for the price. Definitely ask for more hot sauce. 2 dime bags isn't enough.“
“I was recommended this place from a cousin in law and it did not disappoint. I tried their hard shell tacos and my boyfriend ordered the California burrito. The California burrito is ? . Before I headed back home we tried their breakfast burritos and it was delicious! It is a huge size too. I’ll definitely recommend this place and wouldn’t mind coming back when I’m in town.“
“Superb fish tacos with consomé broth. Fish was breaded but I could still taste the fish freshness. The chipotle sauce with red pickled onions complemented the taco flavor exquisitely. The restvof my party had birria and shrimp tacos and they were as pleased as me. I didn't get pictures of those though. Size wise, the tacos are good decent size. A bit bigger than average“
“FIRE CARNITAS! The carne asada burrito was amazing too. I def need to come back for a carnitas burrito though. The chef gave me a carnitas taco while waiting for my carne burritos, and literally made me want to change my mind. But, Ill have to come back and get it next time...“
“I hired Taco Love to cater my wedding in February and would happily look forward to hiring them again for any future event. Consider this a glowing review, and a recommendation to hire them for your events! Guests are still raving about how great the food was ... many of them were so taken by the appetizers that they didn't even realize a dinner course was still to come! After being super disappointed with the attitude and racist comments from a *different* caterer that had been highly recommended to us, we found Randy and Taco Love and it was a perfect fit! From the first phone call, we knew we were on the right track for our event. He was always kind, very laid-back (something that vibed really well with my personality, but something to note if you want things super formal and in writing right away), and very accommodating to the unique needs and vision of our event and venue space. He would always tell us "it is your wedding ... you let me know what you want and we will make it happen!" We used some of his serving dishes, and some of our own. At our tasting, he made sure we had one of each thing on his menu and it all tasted so great! The meat and veggie options were very delicious, and the salsas were incredibly flavorful. From there, the process was very smooth. There was no limit on the menu, he allowed us to choose from everything they make on the truck. The price was reasonable, and he even added a dessert option only two weeks out from the wedding! Our guests LOVED the churros and ice cream. He was right on time for our wedding, and from what we could tell everything ran so smoothly! We had plenty of food for our guest count of 130. My only regret, is that as the bride and groom we were so chaotic that day we didn't get to eat as much as we wanted to! We are already planning a time to catch his truck when we are back in town so we make up for that! Thank you, Randy! We look forward to eating your food again hopefully soon!“
“Very nice place, recommended without a doubt, starting with the small but comfortable place, very clean, the service provided very well, a very extensive complete menu, shrimp tacos and chilled octopus, I recommend it! A variety of drinks from sodas to beer, a place to go alone as a couple or as a family!VERY FAST FOOD DELIVERY!Wheelchair accessibility: A place suitable for people in wheelchairs, children and seniors!“
“Went in for a quick bite, the man working was super kind and helpful! Took a bite of what was the best carne asada quesadilla I've ever had, the meat was cooked fresh. The tables were all very clean and the place in general looked very clean and tidy. He cleaned the grill after cooking my quesadilla so that was extremely reassuring. All in all 20/10 I'll definitely be back! (The food is also very cheap or what I consider cheap for SD)“
“Daughter was craving Tacos el Gordo, so my baby girl got it! And of course, me too. I live right around the corner from tacos Ahumaderas , haven't went there at all. Doesn't interest me at all. Thank youParking: Few parkings. But I've always found a parking .“
“The owner was awesome. My wife and I got the rolled tacos with beef and requested adobada and carne asada on top. It was amazing.I had asked how the carnitas were and he told me, honestly, they are from last night and so they are not very fresh. So I would not order them as I have another batch cooking. He said he only wants to serve his customers the best.I absolutely believe him! Thank up for the great food!“
“Very flavorful dishes, excellent presentation, unique ambiance, and staff is extremely polite. I ordered the birriaquiles with low expectations thinking that this was not the right place to order them, and boy was I proven dead wrong.Would highly recommend, I'll have to try the rest of the menu, given the great overall first experience. Kudos to Jose, the waiter for his sense of humor!“
“Cute place right by the water, the tacos are a good portion. I order the pollo asado and the baja shrip and was full after the 2 tacos. We also ordered the chicken fries and it was a huge portion. You will definitely get your moneys worth! On a Sunday day by the marina, it’s definitely a vibe!“
“I ordered the asada tacos and asada chips from Door Dash. Let me tell you, the food is super tasty. The tacos were packed with meat and there was more meat than chips in the asada chips. They chopped up the asada for the chips making it easier to eat. This is a hidden gem for sure! Hands down the closest I've gotten to tacos in TJ. 10 out of 10!!!!!“
“If you're a fan of shrimp, especially shrimp tacos, then this is the spot for you. However, I must warn you, the parking situation here is dreadful. The layout is poorly designed and extremely tight. In our case, we opted to wait in our car while our friend went down to place our order. I would highly recommend exploring other locations to avoid the hassle of dealing with parking here. Fortunately, luck was on our side as a car right in front of us was leaving, allowing us to snag a spot. The restaurant itself is also quite small. Despite its size, we managed to secure a seat and enjoyed observing the workers crafting fresh tortillas by hand. The sauce bar was also really good. I recommend trying them all to see which ones you like. I ordered a baja (battered fish) taco and a camaron (spicy shrimp) taco. While the baja taco was enjoyable, it was the camaron taco that truly impressed me. Its delicious flavor had me devouring it in no time. I wish I ordered more the first time around, but I didn't want to endure another wait in line. I'm genuinely looking forward to returning, perhaps to a different location to bypass the troublesome parking situation!“
“Grab and go burritos for $2?! Yes, please. I'm always on a rush and being able to just go in and choose a delicious burrito without waiting is amazing. The burritos are small, but they remind me the home style burritos my mom used to make me. These burritos are flavorful and filling. It looks like they have a drive up section and a cooler . Probably for early risers! They also have taco Tuesday $2 tacos! I'll be coming back to try those for sure!“
“I am not going to lie but those Birria quesa-tacos and the consomé uff hit on the spot ???????????????? best birria!!! The service is perfect, they treat you really well, This my new to go spot when I am craving birria 10/10.Parking: Is next to a store so. He has a lot a parking. You will not struggle for parking“
“Raspados Are really good. The vanilla one is amazing. what I really do appreciate is the fact that they fill it up halfway and they put lechera in the middle, and then they add the lechera on top as well. It's the Lil things. Will be coming back :)“
“We've been coming here every taco Tuesday for the last 2 years. We always get fish tacos, adobada, and carne. It's a hole in the wall kinda place but consistent. I always get pick up, If you call and they say 10 min for pick up just get there a little earlier otherwise it'll be cold by the time you get it home.“
“Taco Lounge is our favorite local taco shop! They serve high quality ingredients each and every time! The staff is kind, consistent & super efficient. My favorite is the grilled shrimp taco. They use fresh avocados & the best chipotle sauce! My daughter's favorite is the carne asada tacos (& occasionally carne asada fries). We also love the Birria taco (pictured) & consommé. We dine-in often and do take-out as well. Both dining options are great. Taco Lounge is clean & inviting. The staff sets you up with all of the necessary condiments. We appreciate everyone at Taco Lounge! Both locations! (Photo from Escaya location)“
“I recommend the best birria tacos in California to my friends. I am very special about food. I am a taquero. I love tacos, but you know that here in the United States it is difficult to find good tacos, but I felt like I was in Tijuana eating these. Taquitos of very tasty birria I recommend them to ?Parking: Excellent, very spacious without any problem“
“Super delicious tacos, the best in San Diego, excellent customer service, super delicious, the sauces, super complete, ready to taste something incomparable to try, I would definitely return to this pleasant placeKid-friendliness: Very familiar place“
“A simple good little place to get a quick bite. Had a bean, cheese, potato and egg burrito that was enormous for less than 10 dollars! Didn't eat anything the rest of the day, didn't need to. The salsas were tasty. Very good deal. Can't beat it.“
“First time here as we were passing by I saw the truck felt like eating birria and me and my son stopped oh my goodness all I have to say is it reminds me when I was growing up in Mexico and seen aloha and you have the actual real with goat meat and the amazing flavor and juice is just all simmerton slowly it's amazing I completely recommend it I think it was I personally and I'm a picky person I thought it was great the only thing I'm switching next time is I'm not going to have it on a flour tortilla I'm going to have it on corn wowzers definitely a 10 and definitely coming back my son is too“
“Quick service, good hospitality, and delicious food! Seating is entirely outside which is nice and comfy. Booths are mostly clean and perfect for a bite to eat with a friend or two. Parking is not huge but enough. Hot sauces are super tasty. Mini tacos are my favorite, and carne asada and adobada are my protein choices. Grilled chicken and shredded chicken are decent. Carnitas tacos are great too. Guacamole is great. Fresh finely diced onions and cilantro are the perfect garnish.“
“Mannn the most underrated Birria spot! Their tacos are huge and amazing ! The gentleman at the window helped me and explained the menu to me. My wife got stuffed carne asada potato and she loved it. They have available seating which is rare for a food truck. Definitely coming back “
“TACOS AL VAPOR is my absolute favorite. Many people have no clue what they are missing. This spot had the most delicious tacos filled with shredded beef and soft potatoes. The salsas are hot and mild red. I tried both and loved each one the same. Each taco is $3.00 you can't beat that for a taco that tasted just like it's from Tijuana. Customer service was just as great. Very friendly you can tell he loves what he does. Please come by and support he deserves to be recognized.“
“Had 2 Tacos Dorados de Birria and a "soft" Taco de birria both very good but I will say the Taco Dorado is the way to go. Delicious and and the right amount of crunch. Will definitely be back to try the tortas next time. I will update this review with my torta review next time I go with more pictures.“
“Great people and amazing food. I love the hot salsas Christian has to offer. I’ve tried asking for the ingredients so I can make them myself and he won’t budge. So here I am eating tacos and tortas twice a week just so I can get my craving satisfied. When it’s rib eye Thursday the tacos with chimichuri sauce are so delicious. I don’t add any salsa to it because they’re just so perfect (chef kiss). I’d recommend this place when you’re in the area. Bring your kids and there is a picnic table you can eat at outside. Follow them on instagram so you can get updates on when he has rib eye taco options.Parking: Street parking“
“Had the fish & chips and blackened mahi mahi tonight. Happy with the cod. The fish wasn't caked with batter which was nice. Fries were alright. The mahi was also yummy. It would have been nice to have the option to order the oysters online.“
“I've been here a couple of times. The carne asada tacos cost $5.99, are huge, made with double corn tortilla, guacamole and pico de gallo, didn't find them tasty, also tried it with the available red and green salsas, but it didn't help. The milanesa torta was good, and tasted better with the salsas. The horchata water was good/ok. The cashier/server is nice and adequate. Place does not look appealing either inside or out. Great location, for the convenience of people at Civic Center, for which I'll continue to check it out every once in a while and try something else.“
“I have only been to the one in IB. The tacos are on point. Both regular priced and the ones on special. Their carne asada tacos are way better than El Gordo. Their adobada was very good too. Their fish tacos are pretty good. Service is always great.“
