Tacos El Villasana Reviews
I read the reviews for this place and I was curious to try it, being Mexican, I’ve never been too impressed by tacos in San Diego, there are good tacos but there’s always something better down south.
I am not someone that picks a place for the atmosphere, I go places for their food, if the atmosphere is good I might stay longer but if the food’s good I’ll come back.
Which is the case with this place, the food is so good that I would travel back from mexico...read full review
This place is absolutely the place to eat. We had the ribeye fries, tacos and torta. The chimichurri was delicious. I didn't even have to add salsa to my food. I highly recommend this place.
If you’re a taco lover, do yourself a favor and check this place out—it’s next-level! They offer rib eye and arrachera (skirt steak) on their tacos, burritos, and quesadillas, and let me tell you, the flavor is unreal.
The meat is tender, juicy, and full of that rich, smoky grilled taste you hope for when ordering good steak. Whether you’re craving tacos or a loaded quesadilla, everything is packed with quality and flavor. You can taste the difference.

Tacos El Villasana is a must-visit spot in San Diego for delicious tacos. The ribeye tacos are a standout, perfectly seasoned with handmade tortillas and flavorful chimichurri. The Vampiro with Carne Asada and Shrimp Taco are also highly recommended, with the shrimp taco being a favorite. The service is fantastic, and the salsa is a hit. The atmosphere is rustic and lively, with loud music and informal service that adds to its authentic feel. The setting is not sterile but genuine, with ash from charcoal and a vibrant vibe that true taco lovers will appreciate. The quality of the raw materials is excellent, tasting like the best in Mexico. Visitors often say the food alone makes it worth a trip, even from Mexico, and that the tacos are so good they would return just for them. Be sure to bring a jacket if visiting at night, as it can get cold.
