The food and service are super.. The stea outside to eat eat is not very nice. It smells like pee (not their fault, homless and irresponsibledog walkers), tables are uneven due to trip hazard old sidewalk, tables and chairs are pretty beat up.
Omg the carnitas Torta (pancho villa)! Paloma was also bomb. Great staff and service. Indoor and outdoor seating. Front and back outdoor seating. Very cool spot. About $40 for 2 tortas and 2 drinks.

This was my first visit to El Carrito and very happy with the service, food, and ambience. Chilaquiles Frida, divorciados, and café de olla were tasty. Perfect serving size and price. It was a perfect spot for the family visiting from out of town. Definitely a go-back-to spot!
