I paid 70 dollers for 2 Micheladas and 2 breakfast entrees.....I paid 3 dollers for this small sauce cup of beans.El boracho burrito was good small portion. My girlfriend got the "chilla killas" which makes it sound like the dopest chilaquiles ever. I've seen chilaquiles look like a boquett of flowers. This dish looked like soggy tortilla chips.

The potatoes would have been great if they had been fully cooked. There was potentially good flavor in the Chilaquiles, they just weren't mixed right. What I received was salsa on chips. The stale chips really ruined the meal. Came here specifically for the Chilaquiles and won't attempt it a second time.

I didn't like the quality of the food. You could tell that it was from days and NOT fresh. The pancakes had no flavor the beans on the molletes were super dry, the pico de gallo was super old because it had a smell. And to top it off they had NO SALSAS! No red or green salsa just a macha oil salsa that also had no flavor. The lady had said that they ran out of.

Never disappoints here!! Been coming here for several years and I will continue to do so. Amazing food and great staff!!Note: Newly remodeled too; ambiance feels great.

We live about 2 blocks down and saw the good atmosphere and good pictures so we decided to try it out. We all ended up regretting it. First, the service took a while and they served a larger table next to us even though they had arrived about 16 minutes after us. When we got our food, they had made a few mixups but since it took a while to get our food, we just decided to eat as is. They didn't bring the side of grilled veggies and when I asked about it, they said they had already brought them. Since we were waiting for my niece's pancakes we hadn't started eating at the time so we showed there were no veggies on our table. The lady went to get someone who came back and again told us we had already gotten our order. We showed her the plates and she saw no veggies so brought some out about 15 minutes later.. during this time I also reminded her about the pancake for my niece which had been nearly 40minutes by then and no pancake. Eventually I had to go up to the cashier and again request the pancake. It eventually took them over an hour to get the side of pancake for my 6yo niece even though her order was first and we requested hers be brought out first. We had already finished the food by the time they brought it out. All of us ended up leaving a good amount of food because there was just no taste to it. We really wanted to like the spot and enjoy it but between the terrible service, the lack of flavor and the terrible wait time it just isn't worth it. I don't know who thinks this is good Mexican food. It's really not. Better to cook at home. I was really surprised and disappointed. I've actually recommended people against trying it out. We had a torta ahogada and chilaquiles verdes and chilaquiles divorciados. Not worth the time or price. There are other spots in the area I'd recommend.

This was my first visit to El Carrito and very happy with the service, food, and ambience. Chilaquiles Frida, divorciados, and café de olla were tasty. Perfect serving size and price. It was a perfect spot for the family visiting from out of town. Definitely a go-back-to spot!

we live nearby so we've been twice, from the good reviews we were excited to give it a try as the place always looked busy and food portions looked generous. First time, I ordered the chilaquiles - disappointed as they were very dry and meat was tough, also kind of cold. Assumed it was just a simple mistake and we decided to come back another time for breakfast, i ordered another plate this time. Disappointed again wit lack of flavor and touch meat, even when cooked medium rare. service was good, drinks were great, but the quality of food isn't there.
