After a disappointing day u craved Jamaican food I was closed to this location so I stopped by. I ordered the curry goat and it was very flavorful and spicy just how I love it. it's very rare to find good jamaican food ij san diego so I really enjoyed this meal. not very pricey compared to other Caribbean restuarants I've tried. the people ser ING is very hospitable. Laylah's Jamaican Food is a small restaurant with no air-conditioning but serves delicious Caribbean dishes like Jerk Chicken, curry chicken, oxtail, curry goat, and curry shrimp. The portion sizes are generous, and the owner offers great hospitality, even providing a complimentary Jamaican drink called Sorrell. Customers praise the quick service, with food often ready within 10 to 15 minutes. The food is flavorful and well-cooked, with some dishes like the jerk chicken dinner, rice and peas, and plantains receiving special praise. The veggie plate with beans and rice is also enjoyed for its nice kick. The prices are a bit high, but the high-quality food makes it worth visiting. Overall, it is a neighborhood spot that offers authentic Jamaican cuisine with friendly service.
