“I attended Juniper & Ivy for a small post-wedding reception. The space was nice and sectioned off from the rest of the restaurant, although it was loud at times because it’s separated by a curtain. It did still feel private, which was great. Although I was the photographer at this wedding, the staff was still super nice and was able to get me a vegetarian meal. They also let the couple bring in their own cakes, which was great! I’d recommend this spot for a smaller reception for sure.“

“We are from “the beef capital” of Australia and discovered The Lion’s Share during SDCC 2023. My husband has very high standards when it comes to meat (his family owned a cattle property) and he could not fault a single dish. We tried camel sausage for the first time and were amazed at the flavor. Every dish was delicious, and make sure you try the brussel sprouts. A restaurant that specializes under exotic meats that can make brussel sprouts that delicious is doing something right! It is our must visit restaurant when we visit San Diego“

“Husband found Melt on Instagram and wanted to try it. So we took the tram from Old Town just to eat early dinner there. Very good. I got the basic grilled cheese (forgot the exact name) and my husband had the Mac Daddy. We were both incredibly happy about our choices. Tried a piece of Mac and cheese from my husband's sandwich and it was incredible. Kinda wanted a whole bowl of just the Mac and cheese. Would definitely eat here again.“

I even witnessed his care for his customers as I watched him ensure an elderly man did not fall walking to the bathroom. Also, he seemed to interact positively with his teammates too. Thanks Dern! The facility and restrooms were clean. It was like stepping back in time. There are a lot of nostalgic things to take in. My husband and I split a classic hamburger, crinkle fries and a strawberry malt. All of it was delicious. My husband said, “if we lived here, I’d be a regular.”“

“Shay is the most amazing bartender taking time to learn people’s names and introduce herself. I had the Red Hot Chicken Sandwich, and every bite was a happy dance (literally, I did a happy dance with every single bite) and the Garlic Parm Fries absolutely amazing, I’ve come to this bar a couple of times but this time I was absolutely blown away with Shay and the sandwich (first time ordering these particular items). Normally bartenders are just like your standard typical bartender small chat and remembering drink orders but Shay’s approach to learn names and ask “Hey Jen, do you another?” instead of just the normal BS. The lounge area has the cutest, most relaxing atmosphere that makes it a perfect spot to get some writing done or catch up with a friend over brunch. The service is consistently top-notch and attentive. I highly recommend trying the flavorful chilaquiles or the avocado toast paired with a dirty chai latte. It's an unassuming gem from the outside, but absolutely worth a visit!“

“A lovely date night restaurant. We didn't do the thing where you get a steak from the deli but def on the list. The burger was the highlight. Spicy Caesar one of the top Caesar salads I've ever had. Wine selection is great and the staff is incredibly nice.“
