The only downside was the service, which seemed a little slow due to limited staff. There appeared to be only two servers, so it took some time to place our order and get our food. Fortunately, the food was worth the wait, and we still had a great experience.“

“I attended Juniper & Ivy for a small post-wedding reception. The space was nice and sectioned off from the rest of the restaurant, although it was loud at times because it’s separated by a curtain. It did still feel private, which was great. Although I was the photographer at this wedding, the staff was still super nice and was able to get me a vegetarian meal. They also let the couple bring in their own cakes, which was great! I’d recommend this spot for a smaller reception for sure.“

“We are from “the beef capital” of Australia and discovered The Lion’s Share during SDCC 2023. My husband has very high standards when it comes to meat (his family owned a cattle property) and he could not fault a single dish. We tried camel sausage for the first time and were amazed at the flavor. Every dish was delicious, and make sure you try the brussel sprouts. A restaurant that specializes under exotic meats that can make brussel sprouts that delicious is doing something right! It is our must visit restaurant when we visit San Diego“

“This is one of our favorite places to take friends when they come to visit. We took our parents last night, and it was perfect. The patio is the best place (I think) to enjoy a meal and the buzz of La Mesa. We happened to come when they were doing an outdoor street concert. The energy was perfect!
Our favorite thing to order is the La Reina molcajete. It's cheesy deliciousness and we ended up eating our leftovers for days. We tried the La Jefa version last night. Still very good and plenty for two people. I love all the fun cocktails you can order, and the service is exactly what you'd expect for a CRG restaurant - friendly and attentive.
Restrooms are clean, there is plenty of parking behind the restaurant, and the food is wonderful.“

“Awesome deli! We stayed at hotel by here and they gave voucher for each night of our stay. Honestly, we don’t usually use these incentives, because I’m not a breakfast person. My husband used it the first morning for breakfast sandwich. He raved about how delicious the sandwich was and it looked great. We’ve been back the 2nd & 3rd days to have lunch each time. They have an extensive menu and everything we’ve had has been delicious. Sandwiches are on delicious bread and with plenty of meat and cheese. Highly recommend this place for food choice, quality, and great friendly service!!!“
