“Great place with extensive wine options at reasonable price point, and amazing staff. Cute place with great food! Love the staff, everyone is attentive, friendly, and even when busy they are so accomodating. Food is great and they have specials from 4-5pm every day! Wine list is so long, and they offer a great deal if you want to try a flight. Sommelier is excellent at recommending things. Only one restroom, unisex/shared so don't wait till the last second! Parking in back, two spots in front and on street.”
“Great spot! Real diner feel. Not a fancy spot but a good spot to get good grub! My family loved their breakfasts and I loved their machaca burrito. It was fire! Try it out! You might love it!”
“We moved in the neighborhood recently and decided to give this a try. The service was quick and very friendly. The food was even more amazing. We tried the torta and quesabirria and were amazed at the quality. Some of the best in SD. Will definitely come back.”
“I love this place. It’s my favorite place to have breakfast. I’ve been coming to Family house of pancakes for more than 25 years . I always have the Denver omelette and their chocolate pancakes are the best. My family loves the tropical pancakes as well. COME HERE!!!”

“We dined here with close friends of ours and had the best time in quite a while! There were 8 of us in our party and we’re fortunate to be able to book their private room towards the rear of the restaurant. We ordered a few Old Fashioned cocktails to start the night, and had also brought two of our favorite wines to be opened during dinner. We started with their Calamari Fritti appetizer and their Cheese & Charcuterie Board. The restaurant’s ambiance was excellent, service couldn’t have been better, and the food (every bit of it was delicious)! Two of us ordered their Steak Siciliano, three of us ordered their Chilean Seabass, and two had their Pappardelle Ragu. One of us also tried their Lobster Bisque. Definite hits of the night were the Steak Siciliano and Chilean Seabass! The ribeye prepared was one of the best steaks offered in an Italian restaurant, and the Seabass cut was a very generous portion! No leftovers remained from either of these dishes. Karina, the owner, came and spoke to us and she was very friendly and hospitable. We loved the decor, the attention to detail, and the genuine service we received the entire evening. While you might not think Lemon Grove would be your first choice for delicious Italian food, you’d be quite surprised as Giardino’s will blow you away with their overall food & service quality. We couldn’t have been impressed any more…”
“Everything about this place has been graced by humanity's urgency of success and ambition. This cafe is absolutely the most wonderful best cafe in all of the west coast and dare I say in the entire united states. In all my years of living i have never experienced such an experience as wonderful as dinning in this wonderful place. A small little piece of heaven on earth.”
“Absolutely loved the food! My wife and I had a craving for Fish & Chips and found this place on Google. Seeing the decent reviews, we decided to give it a try. We shared the 2 Fish + Chips plate, and it hit the spot. The fish was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of batter. These are now our favorite Fish and Chips in San Diego ?”
“I normally go to burros and fries across the street but I found this spot on Yelp and read the reviews. They're right, food is delicious, I ordered carne asada fries, a bean and cheese burrito, 5 rolled tacos and a large horchata for $31 that was A LOT of food. Red salsa was spicy and had a good flavor. The restaurant is clean, the service was fast. Great taco shop. Here's a picture of the large order of carne asada fries, it was packed with meat”
“The ssssalivation is REAL! Coop knows how to do it right! His Q is legit. Tasty, tender, juicy ribs n brisket that don’t need any sauce. Every bite that slides off the bone has loads of smokiness. They go down like buttahh... But, le’me tell you, that spicy sauce is so dope. It’s bursting with so much flavor and adds some heat to the bites. It’s just a cherry on top of the sundae. So ask for the spicy sauce. It’s so good.Their sides are all great. Starting with that cornbread. The pieces are huge and perfect. They have the right amount of moisture that they don’t get all crumbly n crummy. So yummy! I could stop there, but I love their bbq beans that have chunks of pineapple. Didn’t expect that my first time there when they first opened. But I’ve been a sucker for it ever since. If you don’t want something sweet, the red beans n rice are also great. They even have chunks of the brisket in it. I must say, I never really had collard greens till I discovered Coops. I’ve had it since at other places, but I really like the way they make the greens here. I always gotta have it on my plate to complete my scrumptious meal. I usually order for pick up and bring my stash home for the fam. There is limited seating inside and outside if you can’t wait to get home. The tortuous drive is the hardest part for me!Thanks for keeping the legend goin, Coop!(The only drawback: the hours! Please stay open past 3pm. People don’t grab dinner before then. The business will at least triple if it stayed open to at least 6-7pm! And summer is coming!I’ll do (5) stars for service then. ; D )”
“Great food, efficient service. Worth the stop for pizza or sandwiches. Excellent Gyro Plate. The fries are hot n crispy, the meat tender, the soft roll stuffed full of lettuce, tomato and a creamy dill sauce. The wait was not overly long as busy as they were.”
“So good! Reminds me of old family owned delis back home. You can’t beat the service and atmosphere here. The food is great, people are nice and the rootbeer selection is pretty fun! Always enjoy grabbing a sandwich on a busy day.Dietary restrictions: Pretty easy to customize your sandwich to accommodate anything. It’s all made to order.Parking: Street parking and an adjacent lot. I’ve never had an issue getting a spot close by.”
“Their Birria tacos were great! They also have natural "aguas"...horchata, Jamaica, tamarindo! (Note the syrupy mix.My friend had the Menudo. They loved it.”
“You better be hungry when arriving 'cuz it's a lot of delicious food! Chose the linguine and clam sauce that could easily feed three people. Hubs selected the eggplant parm that was also delicious. Atmosphere was very loud but nice.”
“Cute spot with indoor and outdoor eating options. Service was friendly and attentive. Food was very good - split a meat loaf sandwich and a roasted pair salad. I would recommend and I would go back to try other dishes.”
