“Delicious Texas BBQ food, famous for being featured on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives several years ago. The service is super friendly (Tiffany is our favorite server) and quick. Ribs, brisket, tri-tip, smoked turkey with either sweet or spicy BBQ sauce are all delicious. Side dishes are just perfect with the smoked BBQ meats, especially the potato salad, coleslaw and white beans! Food is served in paper trays and very casual with cocktail bar service, and local beers on tap. We drive 45 minutes at least once a month from Escondido to eat here, it’s that good! Weekends they have live bands playing and fun activities for families sitting outside. This place is a little gem, and worth the drive to Flinn Springs for a delicious BBQ feast!Kid-friendliness: Great place for kids!”

“We enjoyed a very nice experience at Hooleys, for dinner. We were greeted promptly upon arrival and seated at a nice booth.Our server, Lexi was at our table quickly to get drink orders. Our food and drink arrived quickly. Everything was prepared well. We had a Calamari appetizer, followed by a Beef Stew Boxty and Corn Beef with Cabbage. Portions were plentiful, with leftovers for another meal. Wednesday is also half price bottle wine night, which was a big plus.”

I'm sitting in my hotel room alone giddy with joy eating this baklava. It is so, so good. The man that helped me answered all my questions & steered me towards great choices! “Okay, four stars isn’t really fair because the beer was amazing. Great brewery, great music but no fries?!!! If you have food at your brewery always have and never run out of fries. If you’re looking for good beer this is the place, if you need fries with that beer they don’t have them. At least not the day I was there. Sorry dudes, step up the French fry game. You should actually get rid of everything on the menu and focus on French fries.”

“As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the friendly staff and seated right away. A great start to an even better meal! My fiancèe and I ordered the Honeymoon latte (vanilla latte sweetened with honey) and a Dirty Chai to start, both were super delicious, beautiful and handcrafted to perfection. For our meals my fiancèe ordered the Beefee Benedict which is served with Kufta (think Mediterranean "meatloaf" with robust herbs and spices) and a house blend cheese on top of English muffins and a made from scratch Hollandaise sauce. And I had ordered the Shakshuka "Special" which is on the regular menu, that's just how they named this dish and that comes with grilled onions and peppers, Kufta, two sunny side eggs in a rich and perfectly acidic tomato puree and houseblend cheese with a house made Bread dome on top of the whole dish. Delicious is an understatement, the food, the drinks the atmosphere, I mean everything fit so prefect. They have a little taste of different cultures and offer healthy alternatives and everything is made in house and I could not say anything bad about this place. 10 out of 10 recommend and we will definitely be coming back to try other amazing dishes.”

“I have always been satisfied with the food and service at Mal Al Sham. However, I believe they need to improve their seating system. They should either have a designated person to handle seating guests or implement a system that uses names and arrival times. When my family and I arrived, the lady at the entrance informed us that we would be seated next in 5 to 10 minutes when a table became available. Unfortunately, a few minutes later, another family arrived and the person near the door ignored his colleague and seated them before us, even though we had arrived first. This goes against the principle of first come, first served. and in this case, favoring customers over others is how I see it.Apart from this issue, the food is excellent and I consider it to be one of the best Arabic restaurants in San Diego. “Best place to bring a toddler for breakfast/lunch. The staff was lovely. Tasty, comfort food with good pricing. Kids pancake was in the shape of Micky so that was a bonus! And the best thing of all: the planes! We sat facing the air strip and between watching planes take off, helicopters flying overhead and the toy plane the waitress brought my son to enjoy while waiting for his food - it was nonstop entertainment. Will be back!!”

The only reason I gave them less than five stars all the way down is because, sure there are places with better food. But they're not trying to be fine dining, they're a family restaurant who makes great food. The Camholts chicken sandwich is my new favorite, it's just the right amount of tender chicken meat topped with bacon and basically a salad between two halves of a toasted sesame torpedo roll... Mmmmm yummy!”

The meet was tender and juicy beyond belief, we all fought over the corn bread, but the surprise of the night was how unbelievable their turkey was! “My first time here. I will be back. Martina was my server and she was great ? my coffee cup was always full. She offered salsa on the side as well as a muffin, if so desired. After paying my bill, she offered me more coffee to go. This is what I call, "Customer Service" The food was cooked to perfection. I ordered a traditional breakfast and every request was met. The restaurant was impeccably clean. The atmosphere and music was comforting. I am grateful to everyone working at The Breakfast House!”

“I've gotten my coffee beans from several roasters in my area. Daymar is my favorite by far. Great taste, plenty of different styles and roasts to choose from, and it's roasted in premises which gives you the freshest beans. This is more of a wholesale type business, don't expect to just show up and walk out with a bag of coffee. You can go there and talk to them, see the options, but it will take some time for them to package what you decide on. Now that I know what I like I call ahead and pick it up later the same day.”

For vegetarians you can build a burrito to your specifications and they do one dish which is all vegetarian (don’t know what it’s called but it’s tasty). “2/3/24 - we ordered about $600 of 1/2 trays for a private event. We went there a week earlier to place the order in. Everything was ready to go 1 week later at the exact time. We go here every year and never have issues. Wonderful people and great food. We ordered enough food for 50 persons. Check out the half party trays. Everyone enjoyed it. The favorites which were cleaned out from the guest was the wings, BBQ pork fried rice and honey shrimp and walnuts.”

“My friend and I were celebrating both of our birthdays at Black Angus for lunch. We decided to have the Campfire Feast - both had the filet mignon, loaded baked potato (she had the brussels sprouts, and I had the salad. A bottle of wine was half off! (I myself had an Angry Orchard). Our starter was the cheesy garlic bread (you can never go wrong with that!) And for our desert that was included we chose the Mudpie. And then, Robert, our amazing waiter brought out the Birthday Cowboy cookie with the ice cream to the side for each of us (he knew we were taking our cookies home). If you haven't tried this...omg! That entire meal for two (including the wine) was only $105 before tip. We did have to pay $5 each extra for the filet mignon and I believe the loaded baked potato was also a few extra dollars. Yes, we took leftovers home. In fact, I had enough for two more meals! So worth it and still so delicious. Robert, our waiter was very friendly and help. Helped my friend pick out the wine she wanted and gave us other suggestions while trying to select our meal options. He was very helpful. Black Angus is one of my favorite restaurants and they made our birthdays celebrations even more special!”

So 1 day in 2023 my friend had gotten a Carne asada quesadilla from Rosendo's. I was starving & was like what the hell, why not. Took my bite & looked up at my friend apparently extremely wide eyed. He asked what was wrong, & if I was okay! Vigorously shook my head yes, & swallowed the bite! Grabbed the rest of the huge piece of his quesadilla & ran eating it excitedly! Nothing special. But when the ribs came out I was shocked! So many and so big! Absolutely delicious sauce! Growing up in BBQ heaven, these are easily some of the best ribs I've ever had! 9/10!!! “Drove by this place dozens of times and never thought anything. I then came across great reviews online from a san diego food page so decided to try it out. Ordered a small “works” which comes with pepperoni, mushrooms, sausage, and onions. Picked up the pizza and drove under 10 mins to get home. The pizza was hot and fresh with tons of flavor. I really didn’t need to use the cheese and peppers that I received on the side as every bite burst with flavor. The dough has great taste and a nice crunch. Sauce and all ingredients used hit the mark. I will recommend and also be back to try a different pizza!!”

We ran out of food so I went to the store and got sell items. They should either have a designated person to handle seating guests or implement a system that uses names and arrival times. When my family and I arrived, the lady at the entrance informed us that we would be seated next in 5 to 10 minutes when a table became available. Unfortunately, a few minutes later, another family arrived and the person near the door ignored his colleague and seated them before us, even though we had arrived first. “I got the mac buffalo chicken fries and loved them theyre pretty big. In my opinion meant to share. There wasnt much cheese on it, and the cheese tasted like a nacho cheese instead of a mac n cheese, cheese. But its fast food so Im not sure what I was expecting.Also tried the pulled pork mac n cheese fries. Didnt like the barbque sauce mixed with rhe nacho cheese sauce, didnt know it would come with barbque. Last restaurant i got pulled pork mac, the pork came and held up flavor on its own. I will ask for it without barbqueue sauce next time.Still give it a 4/5 rating overall. Clean place, unique drink selection, easy to find, not much parking and drive through was closed. Food was good although expensive, big portions.I wouldnt come back often, but I would come back. Staff was friendly.”

“The meal was very good and fresh and was kept fresh on the plates. Everything was restocked regularly. If you are a senior citizen you must tell them when you come in because they can't tell from your grey hair. The charge for hot tea is exorbitant.And not included with your dinner price. The variety that was available was very good. The weight staff was very responsive and cleared used plates quickly. The facility is spacious and adequately handles a large number of people.”

“As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the friendly staff and seated right away. A great start to an even better meal! My fiancèe and I ordered the Honeymoon latte (vanilla latte sweetened with honey) and a Dirty Chai to start, both were super delicious, beautiful and handcrafted to perfection. For our meals my fiancèe ordered the Beefee Benedict which is served with Kufta (think Mediterranean "meatloaf" with robust herbs and spices) and a house blend cheese on top of English muffins and a made from scratch Hollandaise sauce. And I had ordered the Shakshuka "Special" which is on the regular menu, that's just how they named this dish and that comes with grilled onions and peppers, Kufta, two sunny side eggs in a rich and perfectly acidic tomato puree and houseblend cheese with a house made Bread dome on top of the whole dish. Delicious is an understatement, the food, the drinks the atmosphere, I mean everything fit so prefect. They have a little taste of different cultures and offer healthy alternatives and everything is made in house and I could not say anything bad about this place. 10 out of 10 recommend and we will definitely be coming back to try other amazing dishes.”
