“Wow!!! So delicious! This is my new favorite taco shop. I had the California burrito and my husband had the monster burrito. The chips and salsa were so delicious, we ended up buying some extra to take home. This place is definitely a hidden gem.“
“I LOVE this place. Their Birria tacos are the best in San Diego and I’ve had my fair share of Mexican food. As an SD native, whenever people come to visit I tell them to go here because it’s literally the best. Please don’t ever leave the neighborhood!!“
“I've been coming here for over 20 years. The owner is amazing and treats everyone like family. He is nearly always there and greets everyone with the biggest smile. They have THEE BEST salsa! It's homemade and has a perfect somewhat chunky texture. Because of the chunkiness it stays put and doesn't just pour through your burrito. Their salsa really is what sets them apart from some other taco shop.We all have our special places for certain Mexican food. This is my breakfast burrito place. I cannot (and would not) get a breakfast burrito anywhere else. I also love their carne asada and plain quesadillas. It's got a little crunch to the outside so it's not this limp tortilla with greasy cheese like so many places tend to serve. Another cool thing is they give you a choice between American and Mexican guacamole. I don't know another taco shop that gives the customer that option. They just really care about making the customer happy and making great food.Parking: Tons of parkingWheelchair accessibility: Handicapped spots are right in front of the restaurant and they have large front doors that are often open making it very easy to enter.“
“A lot of places claim to have the best breakfast burritos but Sombreros is the actual champ! They are beyond delicious and beyond consistent, never been disappointed I’m a very picky person about my breakfast burritos but the bacon deluxe from here is my number 1!“
“No atmosphere, but that’s not what this place is about. Just a great hole in the wall with good, tasty Mexican food. For vegetarians you can build a burrito to your specifications and they do one dish which is all vegetarian (don’t know what it’s called but it’s tasty). Give it a shot, just be aware of the surroundings. It’s all in and out there.Vegetarian options: Only a few vegetarian options, mainly by you specifying what you want and build your own. Otherwise only 1 actual veggie dish.Parking: Always some parking spots.“
“This place has excellent food, atmosphere, and service. The bar is cool with TV & maybe live music. Pretty much tried most of my favorites, and all tasted really good. They even have pasta, which is on my list, but I think its only for catering (will update). Also, have soup of the day, so call in!“
“We love this place. Food is great, reasonably priced, and the staff are always kind and easy to order with. We like it here so much we had them cater our kids birthday party and the rolled tacos were a hit. Our favorite dish is their big rolled tacos and their albóndigas!“
“I went for the first time and I loved the place ❤️?? it's very ❤️ ❤️ quiet, it's very cozy, very clean and the staff is very friendly, and the food ? is great, I was delighted with this place and so you can see I did take photos of this place.“
“Everything was delicious, the beef broth delicious and their handmade tortillas super delicious. The pupusas don't say anything!! They have to go!! Also the fried banana is a delight!! The owner was there and very attentive to me and my family, very nice. Thank you for your attention and service.“
“A childhood favorite ? ❤️...Been coming here for years and years...and they just get better and better... on a nice corner location.... Went yesterday and was in "MmMmmm" over the quality of Carne Asada that was in my qusadilla. And the fries I ordered with cheese ? on top were top notch, they were Seasoned fries too. Never had em like that before. I can definitely say they choose a more quality product for making they're meals ... Was "muy delicioso!"Parking: If there's not parking right in front. They're is more around in the back or just park behind the liquor store that's off to the left. ...“
“Catered food for my daughters 18th bday/ Grad party. Service way beyond expectation! Food was so good and in abundance for what I expected! Jose delivered it all right on time, very hot, fresh, 3 kinds of salsa, guacamole that he even brought extra! Limes, corn and flour tortillas, taco veggies, rice (which I’m not much of a rice person, this was really moist and yummy!), carne, and pollo abodabo. We also had churros, and Jose even surprised us with (sorry if spelled wrong) buenalos? The yummy cinnamon sugar fried flour tortilla chips. Would totally use La Cresta Taco Shop again! Thank you so much for making it all so easy and overall GREAT!“
“I used to come here with my family whenever we traveled to Mexicali and come eat before going back on the road. Was coming back from Glamis, I was craving good Mexican food and this restaurant come up on my suggestion. We went inside, looked at the menu saw the reviews on the Burritos, tacos, Tortas and Asada fries. A lot of the food choices looked so good. It was a hard choice to decide, so I went with the carne asada with abodada and added chipotle salsa with it. My Dad ordered a Menudo with a side of refried beans and chips. The refried beans were so good and tasty with a side of chips. The chips were made freshly hot. And very crunchy. Service is excellent, the cashier gives you great hospitality with that sense of home vibe. Definitely I want to come back again to try more of their food!!“
“Me and my crew were working in the area and was recommended Colimas, we walked in and the nice older gentleman greeted us took our order. I ordered a asada burrito with xtra onion and cilantro and Monterey Jack cheese. It was fast and very fresh. I was very impressed with the big portion and the flavor of the Carna Sada. Will be going back! Very neat and clean restaurant“
“We come to Sombrero, especially for their delicious bacon and cheese breakfast burrito. Do we have it for breakfast? Heck, no! This is a BIG burrito! It's a dinner burrito for us, and it's hard to finish. To quote from a very old cigarette ad: "it's so round, so good, so fully packed." Sombrero has the best-ever green salsa. We travel a lot, so we have a chance to sample from lots of places. We have never received anything that seemed pre-cooked. This time, our burrito came so hot that we needed napkins around them. We eat-in so that we can fill their little cups all the way up with green slsa and also get some of their sliced pickled jalapeños to add to the already delicious burrito. It's always clean. The employees are friendly and seem happy to take our order.“
“We noticed they were open on Christmas day as we were driving by, so we decided to stop in and give them a try. The service was fast n friendly, but we were the only ones there at the time. The Birria Ramen was delicious. The beef was perfect, tender, and juicy, and you get a good portion. I don't usually order a soup, but I'll order this again! We also ordered the QuesaBirria and Birria tacos. They were all delicious, especially the QuesaBirria that was amazing. The best part is they are just a couple of blocks away from us, so when we want Birria, this is where we will be coming for now on.“
“i got the champion burrito and horchata and it was soo good i still can't believe its only 21 bucks for both and the burrito is like 1.3 feet long it huge. it takes me an entire day to finish and every time i get it it always tastes amazing i have recommended this place to all my friends and co workers and they also love this place the lady at the front was so nice, she is incredible and I've even learned a bit of Spanish to say thank you and all that my wife is always asking to go here for lunch and breakfast. out of all the places i have been is California in the past 10 years of traveling this is by far one of the best.to everyone who works here thank you and me and my wife will love this place for so long. hell i have even asked my wife abouty having this place cater to our wedding to help their biz and give a bit more to them for all the good food and service they gave us in just so little time.thank you“
“Continuing to explore my hypothesis that you can find amazing burritos in literally every California community, I checked out Silva's Taco Shop on a drive between my San Diego office and a jail outside of Yuma. Silva's was the only taco shop in this area that had a 4.5, which is the cut off for a well reviewed fast food place. This was a hash brown/egg/cheese/beans combo where you could add a meat. I added ham and said no to the beans on the theory that it would be a scoop of refried beans, this being the San Diego area. It was hot and fresh, the tortilla was solid and I liked the amount of cheese and how it combined with the hash brown. The egg was uninspired but that's normal. The hot sauce was standard for the area. It was a huge size, no way I could have eaten the whole thing without a fork and knife so I just threw away the last third of it.The restaurant was clean and the cashier was cheerful. It's about a half mile from the 8. Nothing unique but still a burrito you would absolutely kill for in most parts of the country.Vegetarian options: BeansDietary restrictions: MeatsParking: Dedicated lot.Kid-friendliness: SureWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“Super Bomb! Carne was fresh and not chewy or overcooked. The rolled tacos were good (chicken was better than beef). A little confusing cause they haven't changed the signage from "Yesenia's" over to TAVO yet but besides that I found a new fav! Love the salsa bar and the lady was nice and accommodating.“
“Los Chavos in El Cajon is a total win! Wheelchair accessible, super kid-friendly, and parking's a breeze. The Beto Crunchy Burrito is a taste sensation – carne asada, fries, sour cream, pico de gallo, and 2 rolled tacos all in one. Perfect for taco lovers! ??Parking: Convenient parking is the cherry on top, making the overall experience smooth and enjoyable for all patrons.Kid-friendliness: The kid-friendly atmosphere adds to the charm, making it a fantastic spot for families.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessibility at Los Chavos in El Cajon ensures everyone can enjoy their tasty treats without any hassle.“
“Fast service. Food and drink was brought to the table. We ordered something simple but it was enjoyable. Place was clean and comfortable. 4 stars because I personally enjoy staff who greet you and have a small talk conversation, makes me feel more welcomed.“
“This place deserves a 5 star rating in every category except price. Staff is great, place is clean and nice, food is unique and incredible. Prices reflect the quality I'm sure, but they are still a bit high for the portion sizes which are on the small size.“
“This was delicious ?! I stopped here because I was craving carne asada fries and the reviews say they are good here, that's an understatement! They were amazing! The salsa was delicious, the fries were cooked all the way unlike other places I have tried where they are soggy. The meat was so good, grace and cheese and sour cream! No Pico for this gringo. I will for sure have to try other items here as this plate blew me away! Thanks La Casita's for the best carne asada fries I have had in East County SD.“
“Really cool little taco stand with great service. The food was okay, the guacamole on the rolled tacos had no seasoning or taste other than mashed avocados. The California burrito was good and decently sized for the price. The tostada was the weirdest, it was a tostada sandwich! Decently priced Mexican food, I would maybe go again if I was in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way.“
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I recently dined at Sombreros Mexican Food and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was impeccable, and the food was simply outstanding. Each dish was bursting with authentic flavors and made with the freshest ingredients. I highly recommend trying their signature dishes like the flavorful carne asada tacos and the mouthwatering enchiladas. The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure our dining experience was top-notch. I will definitely be returning to Sombreros Mexican Food and can't wait to try more of their delicious offerings. Five stars all the way!“
“Although I have some other Rubios locations around my area, this location is my favorite. They always serve hot fresh food and the portions are good. The manager Samantha is the best, she always has a smile on her face and keeps the restaurant supper clean. I have a great experience every week.“
“Food made fresh to order, the seafood quality is amazing for its location. My favorite thing to get here is the giant tostadas and the consomé. While you wait on your food they give you a sample of the shrimp soup/broth and it is incredible.“
“This place is a gem! We went in on happy hour. We were served with free appetizerrs and margaritas special prices. And the margarita were in large full glass. We ordered food and it was great!!The bar was so pretty. The best was are bartender. This will be my new spot!;“
“Listen ... this place has sooo much potential they NEED TO ADD BAND AND BACHATA NIGHTS !!! It will be OFF THE HOOK. Think about it a place to stay, drinks and bachata nights omg. The drinks are so creative and embrace the Hispanic culture. Apparently it's only been open 4 months but it is my new fave at Sycuan Casino!“
“Excellent place! They custom made my plate. It was delicious! I was very grateful that they made it exactly how I asked. Loved the taste of it and and how quickly they made it. They were very attentive and helpful with my selection. Place was clean. Owner was super friendly and helpful. Thank you very much!Highly recommend!Perfect Mexican Food!“
“We come here often. The service is always great. We enjoy Rubio's because it just has healthier than other fast food options in the area. We always switch up and this is my children's favorite go to fast food place. The have a nice variety of hot sauces and a good mix of drinks. The menu is great for anyone. They have veggie options as well as meat , poultry and sea food. They literally have something for everyone and the kids meals are a very good varied for little ones.“
“We dine at Pancho's Mexican Restaurant twice a week or more because they serve the most delicious and authentic mexican food we have ever had! Everything on their menu deverves rave including the service. They greet you instantly with chips and the best salsa in town. Even though the place is always busy, we rarely have to wait for a table...or our favorite cocktail. We suggest you have a Strawberry Margarita made with the freshest ingredients. Every dish is delicious but we both recommend their carnitas, whether it be a soft taco or giant burrito, it is our favorite. I have had everything on their menu. We dine there with our family and friends because we want to share the goodness that Pancho's Mexican Restaurant has to offer. If you love mexican food, great service and a friendly, cozy atmosphere, try Pancho's as soon as you can.Dietary restrictions: I recently had heart trouble and when I told our Hostess at Panchos Restaurant, she made me a dish that was right in line with my diet concerns. She modified a salad, changed the kind of beans I had ,and prepared chicken special just for me. This is what I call great service and a special care for each customer! You cannot find servers like this just anywhere!“
