“We were visiting East County and I googled "Vegan Near Me," and El Veganito came up. Vegan Mexican Food! Amazing. It's just amazing food, in general. I got the California burrito, and it was delicious Mexican food and huge! One burrito was lunch and dinner. Just a note, the restaurant is in a food court and not visible from the road. I highly recommend El Veganito.Vegetarian options: All Vegan!“

“So I ate in with my baby. They do have 1 high chair and plenty of seating inside. The lady in front was very friendly. The Cali burrito was huge and the roll tacos were good! The only thing is there was the cook / a man working there was taking his lunch at the same time I was eating. He smelled alot like alcohol and was drunk based on the way he spoke to me. Other than that, food was 9/10. I would go thru drive thru next time.“

“We dine at Pancho's Mexican Restaurant twice a week or more because they serve the most delicious and authentic mexican food we have ever had! Everything on their menu deverves rave including the service. They greet you instantly with chips and the best salsa in town. Even though the place is always busy, we rarely have to wait for a table...or our favorite cocktail. We suggest you have a Strawberry Margarita made with the freshest ingredients. Every dish is delicious but we both recommend their carnitas, whether it be a soft taco or giant burrito, it is our favorite. I have had everything on their menu. We dine there with our family and friends because we want to share the goodness that Pancho's Mexican Restaurant has to offer. If you love mexican food, great service and a friendly, cozy atmosphere, try Pancho's as soon as you can.Dietary restrictions: I recently had heart trouble and when I told our Hostess at Panchos Restaurant, she made me a dish that was right in line with my diet concerns. She modified a salad, changed the kind of beans I had ,and prepared chicken special just for me. This is what I call great service and a special care for each customer! You cannot find servers like this just anywhere!“

“Where this is located has many options for Mexican food. This is one of the better restaurants . Those carne asada nachos I ordered were fire. Probably one of the best I've had in a long while. I washed it down with a jamaica drink which was super refreshing. I definitely recommend BH. They have a variety of Mexican fast food cuisine here.“

The flavor of the meat and the hot sauce ? ?? ?.The owner and all the employees are super cool and polite, too. They keep this place so clean.Vegetarian options: My girlfriend is vegetarian and they have quite a few options so it's a nice place for both of us“

“I like this place the portions are hugh, i wished they used better meat for there carne asada. The last burrito i got was a California burrito the meat was like chewing on leather for 17 dollars yes 17 dollars for one burrito you should be able to chew it. Hopefully they step up they're quality of beef and then they will be the best place in town“

“I LOVE this place. Their Birria tacos are the best in San Diego and I’ve had my fair share of Mexican food. As an SD native, whenever people come to visit I tell them to go here because it’s literally the best. Please don’t ever leave the neighborhood!!“
“I've stopped here a few times in the past weeks while bike riding in the area and have thoroughly enjoyed my visits. Fantastic, friendly service and, basically, everything you'd need (including amazing banana bread). I now need to make a trip out to eat the tacos and they smelt and looked amazing“

“Never thought I'd be driving out to Alpine for a Mexican food fix but here we are. And am I glad we did. Serving size is hefty AND the prices are affordable. Great bang for your buck. They have a self serve tortilla chip, salsa, and condiments station. Their tacos and burritos are all solid.“

“Another little rough diamond of a Mexican eatery. Also has soyrizo veggie meat replacement burritos for vegetarians! It’s pretty barebones, but I requested to have it cooked with habanero sauce. I’m sure you could ask for pico or other additions.Quite clean and cheerful space with seating. Worth a try if you like good food surprises, 4.5 stars out of 5!Vegetarian options: Pretty much only soyrizo but that’s more than most. Fries and the like too.“

“Had never been here, we were just walking around looking for a coffee place, when we found this lil place , as soon as we walked the aroma was delicious, so we ordered the huevos ranchero and chilaquiles verdes. They were beyond what we expected. Very tasty and fulfilling. The plates are pretty big. And service is good. Definitely will recommend and come back.“

“I have lived in East County my entire life. I am always looking for something 'different', something that stands out from the rest, a hidden gem, if you will. I had heard of Steele 94 many times and heard great things about it. I/ we finally went out to try it. I was in love with the place the second we walked in the door. It had a great feel to it and it was very welcoming. Speaking of welcoming, the owner Miguel greeted us and we were sold! We had breakfast as it is my favorite meal of the day and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed our time there so much, we returned for dinner. Once we got out of the car we were hit by the intoxicating aroma of the outdoor grill. Guess who was manning the grill, that's right- Miguel! We had a tremendous dinner and a great evening. I do believe I have found that hidden gem I have been looking for. We will be back, and very soon!“

“Al Pancho's has been my favorite Mexican restaurant since we moved to Alpine. This a cute little place, plenty of seating inside and has an outdoor dining patio. The staff is very friendly and professional and the food is super yummy. They have been in business since we moved to Alpine in 2003 and I'm sure it was here long before us. It feels like a family run restaurant complete with the great service and tasty offerings only a labor of love a family could provide. So, if you're looking to dine at one of many Mexican restaurants we enjoy here in Alpine, this one tops my list, hands down! Our others in the same category are all excellent but this one is MY favorite“

“I've been coming here for over 20 years. The owner is amazing and treats everyone like family. He is nearly always there and greets everyone with the biggest smile. They have THEE BEST salsa! It's homemade and has a perfect somewhat chunky texture. Because of the chunkiness it stays put and doesn't just pour through your burrito. Their salsa really is what sets them apart from some other taco shop.We all have our special places for certain Mexican food. This is my breakfast burrito place. I cannot (and would not) get a breakfast burrito anywhere else. I also love their carne asada and plain quesadillas. It's got a little crunch to the outside so it's not this limp tortilla with greasy cheese like so many places tend to serve. Another cool thing is they give you a choice between American and Mexican guacamole. I don't know another taco shop that gives the customer that option. They just really care about making the customer happy and making great food.Parking: Tons of parkingWheelchair accessibility: Handicapped spots are right in front of the restaurant and they have large front doors that are often open making it very easy to enter.“

“This is definitely a hidden gem of La mesa. Breakfast burritos are delicious and not greasy. They are so stingy though on hot sauce. Which doesn’t make sense because if you die there, you get access to the entire bottle. But they do not give more than four tiny hot sauces for 1 burrito. One of the tiny hot sauce containers is enough for two bites of a burrito.“
“We have ordered food from Erlene a couple times now (once for my daughters bday, yesterday for a family party) and she never disappoints. Her food is so delicious and you can definitely feel the TLC she puts into every dish. Thanks Again Erlene!!“

“The alexadilla is a California burrito wrapped in a quesadilla and you can clearly tell it is a quesadilla which I loved. It wasn't overly loaded with just fries. There was a good mix of everything inside. The meat wasn't SUPER flavorful but overall the burrito was good. The red and green hot sauces were both very good and had nice flavor. The girl who took my order was so nice and personable and definitely wanted to make sure you got what you wanted. Inside was very clean and the had seating for to-go orders that wouldn't take up the seating for people trying to eat there. The music was a notch louder than I would prefer but not unbearable. I will definitely go back to try some of the other items on the menu.“

“This is the best Birria I have every had, including in Mexico. The meat was absolutely well cooked, high quality Beef necks, not chewy or rubbery, the broth was like bone broth. The spice level moderate, and very very tasty I am told the chef has been making Birria for 40 years, and it shows. The tortillas were fresh made that day from a bakery, and had the real authentic corn flavor.... also had the Ramen which was as good as the regular birria, just with ramen! Thanks very much! I cant wait to return for a Torta and Queso Taco.“

“This new-ish (open less than a year) Roberto's in Santee is located on the edge of our neighborhood. We don't even have to take a major thoroughfare to get to it. We become victims of habit when it comes to our to-go Mexican food. We finally remembered this place. Located in the corner of a 7/11 anchored strip mall on the corner of Cuyamaca and Mast, on a hill. The parking lot can get a bit messy at times. The 7/11 has a gas station which makes the entry/exit a little more difficult. I called to place our order for pick-up. (I'm not going to deduct a star because their website sucks). The girl who I spoke with was pleasant. She said my order would be ready in five minutes. Perfect. It takes two to get there from our house. For Becky it was the Carne Asada Plate with flour tortillas. I chose the Carnitas Plate (no guac) with corn tortillas. I also ordered a Fish Taco for myself. The carne asada was very, very good. Seasoned well and tender. No fatty or gristly chunks. Quality carne asada. Served with very good refried beans and rice. Excellent flour tortillas as well. I loved the carnitas. Lots of big flavorful chunks. Nice and crispy exterior with tender, delicious pork inside. Really good. The corn tortillas were great. The fish taco was fantastic. The perfectly breaded filet filled the doubled-up corn tortillas from end to end. It was nicely dressed with "Baja sauce", pico and cabbage. If you dine in there are a few tables inside and a little 4-seat bar with four tap handles. When I was visited they had Pacifico, Modelo, Sculpin and Coors Light on tap, although no one was manning the bar. I didn't see any pricing, but bottled beers were $3 each. Solid food and super convenient for us. Yep, we're going back.“

“This has a lot of choices, and even have menudo. All the food has been amazing. It is as close to a home cooked meal as you can get without the work. The food always seems to be made fresh for you. This place has become my go-to.. Not much in the atmosphere, but I promise their food makes you forget all about that and appreciate the flavors they pour into each plate. It is tucked away in a gas station plaza and doesn't seem like much, but I truly cannot think of a Mexican restaurant that had this much flavor and love put into each plate. The menudo here is AMAZING!!“

“This is my “Go to” Mexican restaurant. I’ve been going there for the around twenty years and I couldn’t see me going elsewhere for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The owner is the kindest person I’ve ever known and his employees seem like they all are close family members. The food there is so Badass and I’m getting hungry thinking about them. Why go to TJ? Estrada’s brings its authentic Mexican food to us and not to exclude the other two Estrada’s in Santee. I personally think Mario should run for Mayor here in Santee!!! I wished he lived next door to my house. ? Thank you Mario and Estrada’s in Santee! God bless you all!!! Keep it up! ❤️????“

“This place is legit! Mexican food in San Diego is something special to start with, this place does not disappoint. Take a seat and order a margarita first. It's one of the places where I know I can order a house Rita and be happy with it. But the food is why I'm there. It's not often I can get great food and margarita, this places breaks that rule wide open. I love their red enchilada sauce, especially on a wet burrito. Marita's, I'll see you next week!!!“

“I'm a burrito lover and I can say that their carne asada is pretty delicious. The meat quality is excellent and fresh. The taste of the meat is rich, vigorous, well-fried and the salt is perfect for me. Vegetables and avocado sauce were added in due quantity to the dish. Other people may want more vegetable filling, but I like to have more meat and they have the perfect proportion and juiciness of the dish! The service is pleasant and friendly, thank them for the fast cooking!“

“I was a first time customer here in November 2019. I never knew I never came back, but the food was awesome! I ordered a California Burrito, and for a price of under $13 (with a drink) it was the best deal. Sadly I never finished it since it was so big, but I did enjoy it a lot!! The best!!!“

“Definitely our favorite Mexican shop in town. We drive past a few others to go here. We usually call it in and expect 20 minutes to be quoted. Which means it is fresh!! Our favorite items Carne asada burrito add sour cream Chips and hot sauce - they make the chips in house!! They are hot and the perfect crunch!! The breakfast burritos are also delish!!!! There is a shop next door called Saritas. The service is not nearly as good. And the red and green salsa there is NO BUENO!!!!! Nothing compared to La posta!! I would say it is a little higher priced than your average taco shop, but the quality makes up for it!!!“

“The food is very good, but the girl upfront taking orders has a very very bad attitude. I usually call to put my order, and when she picked up the phone she answered in a bad manner. I was barely giving her the my order and after the first item she was already giving me the total. I also asked for 2 large horachatas and when I got there to pick up my order: 1. She kept on yawning and 2. When she gave me the total and gave me my items, the 2 horchatas were missing. I asked if she had charged them and she said with a bad attitude,”I did not charge you because you did not order them” I said, “I did, over the phone” and then she said:”well, I could here anything”. Girl, if you are reading this review, everyone has to work unless you are rich, you don’t have any good customer service skills, either take a class or quit this job and get one where you aren’t dealing with people. I would have given 5 star but the customer service given is the worst.“

“Bottom Line: a little hole in the wall that worth visiting for the carne asada alone. With tons of options for burritos, tacos, and more, with great prices and prompt service, it's a fantastic combo of Mexican grocery, carnecería, and restaurant. The Good: great quality meats (you can even buy and cook at home yourself) and fresh ingredients the whole way. There are also lots of other choices to add to your order (stinks, sauces, etc) since it's connected to a small grocery. The Bad: nothing I can think of that would make me stop going. Some may think it's out of the way, but it's well worth a visit when you come to Jamul.“
