This place was okay as far as Mexican food goes. It's definitely not a bad place. The place was clean and we were seated right away. The service was excellent and slow. Not crowded at all. May be since this place is sort of tucked away and not visible. I enjoyed the food but there wasn't much flavor profile to it.
Best kept secret in East La Mesa! Easy to get to, just down the way from Anthony's Fish Grotto off of the 8. Great tortillas and great service. I'm a little bit of a food snob. Okay I'm a snob. I ordered Camarones al Mojo de Ajo, shrimp sauteed in butter which in most places is good but can be bland. I asked them to kick it up a notch with Serrano peppers. Perfect! I was a first time customer here in November 2019. I never knew I never came back, but the food was awesome! I ordered a California Burrito, and for a price of under $13 (with a drink) it was the best deal. Sadly I never finished it since it was so big, but I did enjoy it a lot!! The best!!!
