“First time going here! I was skeptical at first because it’s a bit smaller than i’d like, but it turns out its a lot of fun and not as intimidating as the bigger places and $7 for 1 good sized beer, that’s a good deal! I will be returning soon, so much fun and they play plenty of todays hits and songs I know how to dance to, also no cover charge on Wednesdays!!“

Kelly's has fresh popcorn but doesn't serve food. There is a Mexican Take-out next door though if you get hungry.

Rank & File Bar • $
5469 Casino Way, El Cajon

“I'm not much of a gambler but my dad was a frequent visitor when he was alive. So in his honor on his birthday we had dinner at one of the restaurants. Ordered one of Dad's signature dishes that I miss, meatloaf. Although not like dads it was tasty and good size slice. Everyone enjoyed their dishes as well. Our waitress was very friendly and responsive which made Dads birthday celebration that much nicer. Maybe a new tradition!“

“This review may be a little dated. I’m 56 now, I live in Australia, and I haven’t been to what I knew as Antonio’s Hacienda since about 1980 or 1981.
But it remains one of my favourite childhood memories.
I was just a little kid from Australia being dragged around the world with my mum and my stepdad. Mum was part Australian Aboriginal, with beautiful tanned skin and fiery red hair inherited from the Scottish side of our ancestry. She looked Hispanic, and Antonio always treated us like family.
He never seemed to forget a name or a face. Every time we came in, he remembered us and made sure to visit our table.

I still remember the tortillas coming out of the kitchen warm, the rich salsa with just the right hint of heat, and my order, which never changed: two beef burritos with melted cheese and a salad.
We must have eaten there two or three nights a week. Mum worked at Coit’s Drapery, which wasn’t too far from the restaurant, and my stepdad was a little Kiwi bloke from New Zealand.
The Hacienda is the place is where I discovered my love for Mexican food.
By the time we moved to Canada a couple of years later, we must have sat at just about every table in the place.

Thank you for the memories. If any of Antonio’s family is still around, please tell them that Stephen son of Phyllis from Australia thanks them, and thanks Antonio, for giving a little Aussie kid such wonderful memories.“
