What made our experience truly exceptional was the personalized seven-course tasting menu. Our friend had a collection of his own wines stored there and gave them to Lisa, the warm and welcoming owner. She and Chef Oscar then crafted a menu specifically to pair with those wines. The result was simply unforgettable. Every course was amazing, but a couple stood out as pure genius. One highlight was a half lobster served two ways: one side topped with beef tartare, the other with lobster tartare. As someone who loves tasting menus, I was blown away by the creativity. Another standout was the clams with chorizo in a broth that was just out of this world. And who knew chicken could be so extraordinary? The chicken roulade was unbelievably tender and flavorful. “Family owned! Great speakeasy vibe with lots of cool steampunk designs. You can even buy your own steampunk glasses and hats here! They mostly serve just alcoholic kombucha and 1 rotating local beer on tap, and like 2 non-alcoholic kombuchas. All of their kombucha is good with unique flavor profiles for each type. I love all their lemonade versions - tastes like actual lemonade to me, and they use cool fruits in their kombucha like dragonfruit! If you like it, they sell bottles, and can also bottle one for you then snd there. They usually have live music Friday and Saturday and events throughout the week. The vibe is definitely worth coming in and having a drink.“

“I’m almost hesitant to write this because I don’t want it to get too crowded, but The Kitchen at Torrey Pines and The Clubhouse deserve the love.

We live nearby and have been coming for almost a year, and everything has been consistently great. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is beautiful with ocean views, and the staff is genuinely friendly. Chef Fernando is always welcoming, and the team is very accommodating when we bring our kids.

Some of our favorites are the birria tacos, poke, turkey club with fries, and carnitas tacos. The Clubhouse is also a favorite for pastries, coffee, happy hour, and Taco Tuesday. The pastries are seriously so good and always changing, and the drinks, tacos, and small bites have all been great.

So happy this gem opened in our neighborhood. Easy 5 stars.

“So many things I enjoyed about my first experience at this place. The only thing I wished was different is how loud it was inside. The bacon pork belly dish was the best I've ever had it was amazing. The sauce with it and how you could cut it with a fork was so surprising. I had the filet mignon with their homemade steak sauce. I only used a little bit of it because their steak was so good on its own. I did the pickled onion rings just cuz I have never had that before. I ended up being very big onion rings in the flavor was indeed different because of the pickling. I thought it a was fun change on the ordinary. The servers were genuinely nice and very helpful with my questions on the menu and what would go well together.“

They have mostly indoor, and a couple picnic tables outside which. It’s hard to compare this location with the other burgeon locations because they are all so different. Wish they would offer a Happy Hour or a featured/discounted beer like how Harland and Pizzaport does.“
