“Ordered takeout to my hotel. Food arrived very quickly via Uber eats and was delicious. I ordered Chicken Pad Thai with veggies. I wanted a hint of spice so I only picked 1/10, but it was more like a 4/10 or so. Next time I will order no spice. But all and all I really liked it. The mango sticky rice was also amazing!“
“Really good food and nice atmosphere. We tried the fresh rolls and satay chicken as appetizers. Both were great but the satay chicken was definitely the better of the two. The peanut sauce that came with the rolls was really good. For the main dishes we had the pad Thai and the combination seafood. Both were delicious and the portions were quite nice. The seafood dish had quite a bit of seafood in it and the spice level was perfect. For the price the dishes were quite big so we would definitely go back. The only thing that wasn't good was the Coke which didn't taste very good. It was clearly pretty old especially considering Santa was on the can!“
“This is my second time coming in with my family. Again, we loved how clean and spaced out the place was. The food was delicious as last time! This time the crab fried rice was not so salty. I appreciate how there is actual crab in the food and makes the flavors more vibrant. We ordered drunken noodles, chicken pad Thai, crab wonton, yellow curry. I tried some new things such as the crab wonton and it's about 5 pieces. In terms of service, I noticed that our server did so much for the restaurant. She took phone call orders, managed take out service, and served tables all at the same time. She mentioned that her restaurant is still new but she did so well multitasking. She was very humble. She did her best to take care of us and was so sweet about not wanting to accept my tip even though she basically managed the place entirely. She mentioned how her staff deserved all the money and I was insistent that she take it too! She may not have been able to take care of us the whole time, but she was always generous about giving us utensils and even listened and conversed with us when she had a million things to do. I hope this business stays for a long time (forever hopefully) knowing that there are good people like her managing this place. Just a suggestion to Palm Thai Cafe: maybe have utensils and napkins out so customers can grab as much as they need! Might help take a load off your busy plate. Thanks again! See you all soon.“
“This is probably my favorite restaurant in San Diego. I love Thai food and have never had any this good! Definitely worth the price. My favorites are the Hat Yai Fried Chicken and the Grilled Angus New York Steak (over beef tallow fried rice). The ambiance is great, though it gets busy on weekends (so you probably want a reservation).“
“Great service, not the best looking location, but some pretty darn good food! I’m petty picky about my pad Thai and they made it just right. Location isn’t the best looking but that’s not what we fatties are here for right!!!? Highly recommend :)“
“One of the better Thai places in this area of Chula Vista. They used to have a really good papaya salad, that I would recommend coming here on its own, but the version I had recently seems less cohesive and a little less freshly cut. The fried chicken dishes here are pretty good. Indoor seating is a little “
“What. A. Burger! A Spicy Pad Kaprao Pork Burger with a very flavorful spice that was out of this world. Sticky rice for the bun took it over the top in a way that I've never thought to try. The fried egg was the finishing touch that will get me back in the ship.“
“This place was SO amazing! Every dish was so thoughtfully crafted and creatively presented (all paired with a beautiful edible flower) The portions were perfect, prices were very fair, the ambiance of the restaurant reflected the taste of love within the food. Highly recommend.Vegetarian options: Mango curryPapaya SaladGuava SaladGreen SaladVeggie EggrollsAnd more!“
“My wife and I were in town for a conference, it was a little further from our hotel, but it got decent reviews so we thought we would try it. Man did it not disappoint! Some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had, and the service was amazing! The food was much more affordable than it has right to be. I will be going back the next time I’m in town!“
“The pad Thai was amazing and very flavorful. We also had pad se ew and that was also good. My husband's biggest complaint was we got an order of sticky rice and it was not sticky rice- it was steamed rice and a big let down when we got home. I'm not saying it broke his heart... but he was pretty upset. But pad Thai and pad se ew was yummy“
“We wandered in at about 7pm for dinner one night and were easily greeted and sat almost immediately. It's small, but well decorated and is a classy spot.Staff were super attentive and friendly and all our food was out quickly.I had an unsweet iced Thai tea (large and delicious) and we got steamed dumplings, duck, and chicken Pad Thai. One of the best servings of Pad Thai I've ever had! All the food was wonderful, including the dumplings. Hubs loved his duck and nearly cleaned his plate (rare for him). They have a charming patio but it was too cold on the December night we visited.Happily a new fav in Coronado for dinner. Run, don't walk!“
“Cute little place with tasty dishes. Ordered the Pad Ped with chicken that came with white rice. This is the first time trying it and it was GOOD! Also ordered the Kao Soi tofu and veggie. Delicious yellow curry sauce and the noodle were perfectly cooked. We will be returning to try more things on the menu“
“Honestly, I was a bit surprised by this place, considering its touristy location!I did stop by here, around 2pm, so it wasn't crowded. It's such a cute gem. The faux chinese lantern lighting is absolutely adorable. Love the wide booth seating that draws your eyes to the built-in bookshelves in the back of the room, making this place look so chic and cozy at the same time. The music here gives me a chill lounge vibe: acoustic versions of famous songs without lyrics.Prices are a bit higher, but I think the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere is worth it!I had the Choo chee duck and it was delicious. I had my curry on the side, so the duck was on the dry side (crispy skin!), but it was great with the sauce, and you can be sure their rice was the right consistency :) The Thai tea was as expected! The amount of food for me was a lot!Enjoy!“
“During my first visit, I was thoroughly impressed and know that it won't be my last. Every dish we ordered was not only delicious, but the service was exceptionally friendly. Despite asking numerous questions, the staff member was incredibly kind and provided us with all the information we needed. We savored the panang curry, mango curry, Tom Yum soup, and pork belly fried rice. Let me tell you, the pork belly was cooked to perfection—not too crispy, yet delightfully tender. The curries were absolutely divine, and the sweet tangy taste of the mango was a delightful addition. The soup was incredibly flavorful, and even the white rice was cooked with a delightful texture. I'm already craving to return and sample more items from the menu. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting as you certainly won't be disappointed.“
“Try outside of your comfort zone and you’ll realize all the food in this place is bomb. The owners are so nice and polite, if you have questions about the menu, they provide honest feedback/suggestions. Small space, but perfect for take out so you can enjoy back at home! Serving sizes is perfect in their containers and for the price in my honest opinion.“
“Tried this new little cozy place in my neighborhood that just opened, and it did not dissapoint. Food was amazing all freshly cooked. I ordered to go and my family loved it. The Drunken noodles with beef and shrimp was my favorite dish. The yellow curry was very tasty. Thai fried rice was on point and the crispy veggie eggrolls were good. Last but not least ..The mango sticky rice was excellent. Definetely will be coming back soon to try the Pad Thai noodles and the soups.??this could a new hidden ?. Enjoy!“
“Delicious fresh and healthy. First time trying will definitely go back when in SD. Thank you to the lovely women in the back for preparing this meal. It tastes authentic and home cooked. I got the mixed vegetables with rice (the broth is excellent and had hearty cuts of vegetables) and the drunken noodles, perfect amount of spicy.“
“If you’re doing your research for a good Thai place in the area - then you found it.We always struggle to find Thai that is as good as back home and this is the place that’s giving home a run for its money. We started with the Summer Rolls and those were the best I’ve had. I love the tofu in it - so different. Then our entree came and this is the most delicious Pad Thai. I ordered mine with duck because the charge for duck was very inexpensive. I loved the duck in it as there were bits of skin as well. We didn’t know they had cocktails until we asked to see if there was a menu. I got the Appletini and loved it. Lastly, we got the mango sticky rice and the mango wasn’t the most ripe however it was still incredible.“
“Love this place!!! When craving for authentic motherland food they have it all... my favorite dishes are the beef larb halal & half with the organ soup. Flavors are tasty and bold, if you wanna try something out of your comfort zone this is the place and won't disappoint.“
“Everything was Flavorful, tried the Tom Yum Soup, musan curry, crab fried rice, mango and shrimp curry! Came with jasmine steamed white rice. Service was quick, food came out within 15 mins. Restaurant was clean with decorative trimmings with Thailand influenceVegetarian options: Fresh vegetables, tofu“
“Service is AMAZING everyone is so niceFood is absolutely delicious!!! Pricing is reasonable as well.It no frills and good food. I truly appreciate the quality and it is not overly salty as some restaurants can be. I had eggplant delight with shrimp, crab fried rice #4 heat, and garlic chicken wings. This is take a shower put on your jammies, make a plate and climb up on the couch with your favorite blanket. The food makes you feel just as comfy cozy.“
“Moved from Los Angeles after 12 years, and back to San Diego in 1992, where I had enjoyed the best lemon grass soup entrees! I had not found that taste again! My East Village neighbor, Laura Holland, took me to the Lotus Thai, just 3 short blocks away! And JACKPOT, after 32 years of remembering the good lemon grass soup in L.A., the Lotus Thai's Tom Yum Lemongrass Soup has made me one happy and satisfied neighbor/customer!“
“So I definitely agree that this is an amazing Thai place. I honestly wished we had this in Orlando. So my yellow curry was perfect, a hint of sweetness with spicy, and you can taste the subtle flavors. When reading some reviews I really felt like some patrons may be more used to the American Thai + not fully understand the balance of thai cuisine with vegetables + chicken. Also, I will say that the carrots were cooked to perfection but I wish the potatoes had been left cooking a little bit longer. They weren't hard but they were not soft enough, in my opinion. The staff were wonderful! Parking is on the street or tons of parking garages in the area. I definitely will want to visit this Thai place every time I get to San Diego! One of my fav. Thai places ever!!!! I hope to one day try all the variations of curry + drunken noodle.“
“I love 55 thai!!!! It is for sure the best thai in san diego. Their flavors are strong and bold. Their spice level is actually spicy! They have the legit little thai chilis. The restaurant is very accommodating and can make almost anything gluten free. Veggies are always fresh. This is my go-to thai spot“
“I love coconut girl! Heads up though, they are no longer in PB next to dirty birds. I went there and it is now a Thai restaurant. Go to the address yelp gives on Boston. Copy and paste it into gps because hitting get directions will direct you to the PB location“
“The tom yum soup was good had three shrimps in it for a small size. The Thai tea was refreshing and the pad see lew was okay. The portion was good but since I picked veggies I figured it have more than what it did. I did door dash it and didn't receive any condiments or utensils but my driver was nice :) paid around 40 bucks.“
“I'm from LA, so I don't have a point of reference in SD for Thai food. Came in pretty late, but they were closing in an hour. Ordered their pad see ew, level 9 spicy (I'm a chili head), and it was phenomenal. I cleaned the plate off. I'd give this place a 5 if the service was better. They forgot to make an item and charged us, and the other items (shrimp spring roll) was just okay. Overall, highly recommended.“
“We went to the one in IB the coast Aroma Thai and we got there 40min before closing time and they denied us service saying it was too late and would not get to us. So we decided to go to Siam Imperial and I don't regret it one bit! The food was flawless amazingly good and the service too notch!!! Food came out quick and te flavors were just perfect! Will def come back this place has earned my trust all the way! Highly recommend it!“
