“This is our go to Thai restaurant in San Diego
My wife and I love the freshness of Thai food and wherever we travel always try the Thai restaurant in the area
We always compare it to Chaba Thai which always comes out on top
Both Tom yum and Tom ka soups are the best ever
Every entree is so delicious and they accommodate any special requests if they can
The service is so friendly and helpful
We have been to Thailand and this seems very authentic
I also love brown rice which they make so delicious
Six stars ******“

“Cute, casual Thai option in Rancho Bernardo near High Country West. The menu options are varied. The Thai iced tea was huge. The waitress was polite. $2 up-charge for brown rice. Several tables inside or take-out. Decent amount of parking in the lot (slightly tight) or street parking. Would visit again.“

“Great food and great service! We’ve tried quite a lot of the options on the menu and have not been disappointed. The Tom Yum and basically of the curries are our go-to’s (they had a special Yellow Curry with Fruits which contained lychee and apples and it was sooooo good! Their thai tea and thai coffee are also a must…all in all- every time we’ve gone to eat at Pinto Thai, it hits the spot always!)“

“Dining in today at Thai Time proved relaxing and the mock chicken Panang dish on the lunch menu would be my recommendation.Loaded with lots of bell pepper and some pineapple, I opt for the mild level of spicy. Just remembering back in the days when the Crime Lab and Sheriff’s Records were across the street at Mt. Etna. They could use more foot traffic, now that public services with the County of San Diego relocated and business in the area has been marginalized! Pay them a visit—even if just to see the photo of Elvis Presley from his days in the U.S. Armed Forces! 🎶🎤“

“Last night, my friend and I went to a marvelous restaurant; it was in the Rancho Bernardo/Poway area. Honestly, I hadn't been there yet, but had looked for something that was open late in the area. I normally live in NYC (the city that never sleeps!), and soon realized that not much in the No. Inland County of SD area is open late. So, since our friendship date was at 8 PM, this is the place that I chose. In other words, other than generally enjoying Thai food, our selection of this place was largely due to scheduling. Sometimes, it's about practicality.
Yet, once we were there, we were both pleasantly surprised by the welcoming, relaxed vibe as well as both the quantity and quality of food that they shared. (Also, we didn’t have a reservation; but they still promptly seated us, even though it was fairly busy then, which we appreciated.) We ordered countless items from the menu, and they were all tasteful and oh so filling. We went home with more than half a dozen to-go boxes, too! : ) I particularly enjoyed the coconut milk soup with veggies and the dessert, which was the fried banana rolls paired with coconut ice cream. Can you infer that I'm into coconut everything?? LOL
Last but not least, big shoutouts go out to Ivan and Roberto, for their loving hospitality and epic service. Roberto was so patient, as we asked him plenty of questions about the menu and garnered his recommendations. And - per our request - everything came out with mild, rather than maximum spice levels. Brilliant! So grateful for this wonderful experience -- even their fortune cookies were spot on. : ) I wish them only good fortune from here on out!
Only the Best, Katherine (& dinner companion)“

“Friendly staff and outstanding food quality. Yellow curry (medium) is amazing, and plenty for at least two meals. Basil fried rice and Drunken Noodles were excellent also. Gor Gai is a regular favourite for us!!“
“I had the Spicy Basil Steak Burrito and it was excellent. The flavors were wonderful and the balance of ingredients in the burrito were perfect for texture. A little drizzle of lime juice and chili crisp included with the order put it over the top.“

“If you are craving great Southeast Asian comfort food in Kearny Mesa, this place delivers on taste, but the arrival process is stressful. The plaza has horrible parking, and we had to aggressively fight for a parking space with another car before we could even walk in. Came here on a Saturday around 6 pm with 2 friends.
== FOOD == We got a beef pad see ew, khao soi, and a pork rice. All the food was pretty good. I took off one star because it seemed like the pad see ew was smothered in white pepper.
== SERVICE == Service was a bit slow, but we think it was because we were waiting for the rice to be cooked? However, the staff was polite, apologetic about the delay, and very attentive. She gave us free mango sticky rice.
== AMBIANCE == Interior is very nice and there is bar seating too. The bathroom is also very clean. If you don't mind a slower-paced meal and a chaotic parking lot, the amazing Lao and Thai flavors are completely worth it!“
“Food is amazing.
Rose lychee green tea is refreshing and my new favorite
I had the chicken pad Thai level 1 spice and it was great. Not too spicy. But it has a decent kick to it.
I definitely want to try the bbq honey pork next.“

“I loved their lao papaya salad! Only thing was at spicy level 10, I tasted no spice. I guess this is a ME problem. I eat too much spicy! Their lao sausages are also so good!
Service was fantastic and its nice and quiet here. I would definitely come again for lao food.“
