“I recently stopped by Christy's Donuts and picked up a dozen of their delicious donuts and I must say, I was blown away by the taste and freshness. Not only were the donuts and pastries incredibly delicious right off the bat, but they maintained their freshness even on the second day. It's rare to find baked goods that still taste amazing after sitting for a day, but Christy's Donuts truly delivered. Got 12 different kinds/flavors and had a hard time deciding which one to eat first. If you're looking for mouthwatering treats that stay fresh for days, Christy's Donuts is definitely the place to go. Highly recommend!“
“Mouth watering deliciousness! I suggest going early because they do sell out. My favorite is the Strawberry Jamaica donut, but have now tried most of them and every single one is recommended. My husband tried the cold brew horchata today and he said definitely try if you like coffee and horchata.“
“I wish I could give 10 stars. I really love Rose Donuts! I've been going frequently since I moved back here a couple years ago. I started going because my mom told me that my grandparents used to have a hot dog shop in this same store, decades ago. The service is always so friendly, and they always remember my breakfast sandwich order, even if it's been a long time since my last visit here. When I bring these to work my coworkers love them (maple, glazed cinnamon roll have been the winners in taste tests). My mom's favorite is a chocolate old fashioned, and when she just visited she repeatedly said it is the best old fashioned she has ever had. In fact we went back 3 times in the span of 5 days because my parents liked it so much, haha. Even at 4:30 on the way to the airport, they're open. Great location, so friendly, and so delicious. When I first started going here I was a little shocked by the line, wondering if it was worth the wait. The line moves quickly, and it's definitely worth the wait!“
“First time here and ordered two donuts and an americano. I like that the donuts are made to order and come out warm. Nice touch. You can customize a donut as well. I typically eat classic donuts, little to no frosting or add-ons. Copper doesn’t sell these type, like plain cake or powdered sugar classic options. Coffee was good, service friendly and near the ocean alway a plus.“
“Always good. Service is friendly and patient. Their hot sandwiches are great. They are open early for those early pick-ups for your work crew. Price is great and they have a large selection. It's always clean when we go and it's our kids' favorite.“
“Super nice donut place next to Clairemont Coffee. I grabbed a bagel with cream cheese and avocado before my meeting. It was so delicious!!! I love the heat up the bagel, it’s crunchy outside and soft inside. Also they put a lot of cream cheese and avocado inside. While I was eating there, a lot of people come in to buy donuts in a Thursday afternoon, I bet their donuts are delicious.“
“Visited in April 2015. San Diego’s Donut Bar crafts absolutely delicious donuts. Their variety is both vast and intriguing, reminiscent of the offerings at Voodoo Doughnut in Portland. However, be prepared to invest some time waiting in line to savor these extremely delicious treats. Rest assured, every minute spent in that queue is well worth it.“
“Don't quote me, but I'm pretty sure they have 5 different types of vegan donuts. And y'all would not believe how absolutely delicious they are. I highly recommend (personal preference) the Strawberry sprinkle 1s, grab a few, because you cannot just eat 1, they're so perfect. Texture, taste, smell, etc etc, exactly like a regular donut ?Vegetarian options: VEGAN donuts“
“This multigenerational family owned business has been serving donuts at this location for 30+ years. Their wall shows their support of sports teams which dates back to the 1990’s. We stopped by for an afternoon treat at 12:30pm, and the donuts we purchased were delicious & fresh. The lady who served us was friendly and welcoming. I’ll be returning to satisfy my next donut craving!“
“Visited 12FEB2024Great: Nothing was notable.Good: The shaved ice dessert was way too sweet and the ice was too large for a bingsu dessert. The mix of toppings and cereal didn't help the flavor. The ice cream on the side was ok.Bad: Nothing was bad.Visited Jan 23, 2023Great: The cashier was very nice and helpful. The Vietnamese coffee was strong and tasty. The decor was nice and the place was clean.Good: The rice flour donut was ok. the texture was fine, but chewier than I expected. It was my first time eating one. The cashier took his time to explain what they were and all the flavors available.Bad: Nothing bad.“
“Plain old simple donut shop. Very friendly and quick service. Ordered half a dozen $9.75 with tax. Donuts taste great like donuts should. Not sure what the hype is about though. Also not a very large selection to choose from. $10 minimum for card. Overall worth trying if in the area.“
“If you are ever in Balboa Park, Daniel’s Coffee is the place to grab an amazing cup of coffee. Let’s just say it is so good you will be thinking about the coffee your entire trip in San Diego. It is truly a beautiful cup of coffee. My cousin and I extremely enjoyed the Biscoff Crumble iced coffee; it was truly perfect. The service was fantastic and the beautiful energy received from the staff will always have you going back for more.“
“Stopped by here to pick up donuts for work. Quick and easy service. Convenient location and convenient parking! Such a relief that they have their parking lot. When I ordered a dozen donuts, I got an extra donut on the house :) that was pretty nice!“
“Luckys, Deli, and Donuts is a hidden gem amidst the chaos of life - a delightful concoction of savory sandwiches, flaky croissants, and divine donuts that'll make you question why you ever bothered with kale smoothies. Walking into Luckys, I stumbled upon a scene straight out of a sitcom: a worker leisurely enjoying breakfast, only to spring into action at the mere mention of my sandwich order. It was like watching a culinary superhero transform from mild-mannered muncher to ham, egg, and cheese champion in the blink of an eye. He was sooo nice!! The ham, egg, and cheese croissant? Let's just say it was a symphony of oozing cheesy goodness, crispy buttery perfection, and warm embrace that made my taste buds do a happy dance. As for the donuts? Well, let's just say they disappeared faster than my willpower at a dessert buffet. And the best part? Despite my indecisive dawdling at 11 in the morning, Luckys still boasted a bountiful selection of donuts, as if the universe itself conspired to ensure my sugar cravings were satisfied. All of this gastronomic bliss came at a steal - less than $30 for a feast fit for a foodie king: two bags of chips, two breakfast sandwiches, a half dozen donuts, and a cup of milk!“
“Amazing service, the donuts were so tasty and fresh. I had them out for like 2 days and still were great. I got 2 dozens for my birthday party and the sweet lady who helped me offered a complimentary bear claw, had to share with my dad it was so good. Love this place!!“
“I just wanted to say that this is one of the best donut shops around. Fresh, great tasting donuts and Amazing prices! A dozen regular donuts for $12.50! At a time when prices for everything has more than doubled, this shop has kept the down!!!“
“Hands down the best donut and breakfast bagel shop in San Diego. These are classic donuts and they are amazing....no weird oily taste just absolutely perfect. The breakfast bagels are huge and made to order. Thick pieces of bacon real eggs and absolutely delicious. The people who work the shop are extremely kind and clearly love their shop. If you get a chance to come here you won't regret it. If you don't like them....then maybe you should get your tastebuds checked!“
“Pricey but the unique flavors and clean ingredients make it worth it! Tried the box of the best 6 donuts for $25 and rated them the following:1. Love and salt2. Huckleberry3. Butter and salt4. Lemon pound5. Old fashion6. Apple fritterAll were soft, light and not too sweet (except the apple fritter, too sweet for me).Definitely recommend stopping by to grab some different flavors that you can’t get anywhere else! Excited for their little Italy location to open.“
“The staff barely made said anything, no greeting or friendly remark. But we got the orders quickly and correctly. No dairy free options. Red bean is good. Atmosphere is a normal ice cream shop - bright, no comfortable seating.Parking: Depending on how busy the area is the parking can be easy.Kid-friendliness: Lots of seating. Nothing for them to play with to make a mess (this is a good thing).“
“So, out of all the donut shops in San Diego aside from the "gourmet, overpriced rich folk donuts"these are hands down the best I've had. The staff are amazing and the donuts are affordable. You can tell they use better ingredients than the rest of the places. I won't go anywhere else in this area. No need to“
“A staple of the San Diego community for at least the last 19 years, they've remained uncompromising with ingredients and taste. The owner was formerly the aunt of the current owners and they've updated the scene. Donuts are still 10/10, they're fast, kind and friendly. Seating is available as well as drinks if you want to chill.“
“Wonderful sweet lady behind the counter! The donuts are amazing. You can taste the quality and mine were the end of the day still fresh and delicious! Way better than big company names! Will be going here from now on when I want a donut in IB“
“We had the vegan donut of the month, a vegan cinnamon roll, honey pooh bear coffees, and bagels. The cinnamon roll was one of the best I've ever had. The bagles are good, but there is far too much cream cheese so just be mindful if your aomoen who doesn't like to much it can get messy“
“These donuts are simply delicious. Yes, Pb has some trendy and shiny donut spots in town but Lindas is the best tasting and have the best quality by a landslide! It a small little shop but guaranteed it will be your new donut spot after one try. (At least that's what happened to me!)“
“What is this sorcery??!! These donuts are absolutely insane! The flavors are incredibly unique, & specialty donuts vary daily. Examples of flavors include Berry Creamsicle*, Mango Orange*, Strawberry Matcha*, Salted Caramel Latte*, Brown Butter, Vanilla Bean, Devil's Chocolate, Devil's Vanilla, & more! By far, the best donuts I've ever had!!! They even taste fresh leftover! * = specialty donuts - vary daily“
“My wife and I stopped by for breakfast while visiting from out of state and were so happy we did. The food was great and the service was even better. Watching them interact with multiple customers they seemed like pillars of the community. Highly recommend the croissant sandwich!“
“I ordered custom made purple donuts for a baby shower. They were beautiful and tasty. This is the second time I've ordered from them. You can email your requests with questions and ideas. She does a variety of dessert options not just donuts. Very reasonably priced compared to most. Great service & communication.“
“We pleasantly surprised by this place (near our Airbnb) while on vacation. Very fresh, delicious donuts. Our family also loved the ham and cheese croissants (which were huge!) Everything was inexpensive, also an unexpected surprised. Highly recommend if you're in the area and need an affordable breakfast!“
“I come here all the time and this is the best yum yum of them all. Best time to come is obviously early in the morning when everything is available and most recently made. The employees here are always super nice. Never had a bad experience. The parking lot is also big and easy to get into with a lot of parking.“
“One of my top favorite donut mom and pop donut shops! Came here on a whim and so glad I did. I ordered the crumb donut and the old fashioned donut. They are so fluffy and not too sweet! Had a craving and came back again the next week hahaha!“
“Did my wife and I need two donuts (each) for breakfast? No, but Donut Star made us happy that we decided to do it. Good cup of joe, tasty treats, no extra frills... Just the way we like it. Thank you for helping us make a great San Diego memory on our recent vacation!“
“Definitely some of the best donuts I've had. Even later in the morning they still have a good selection. They're always quick here too. Not the greatest parking lot if you want to park close. Inside has standard breakfast cafe vibes, it's nothing special but the seats seem more tailored for sitting while you wait for them to heat your sandwich. It's all worth it for the amazing donuts.“
“How anyone would wait for the overpriced, overrated coffee shop on the other side of the parking lot over going to this gem is beyond my comprehension. Absolutely amazing coffee and the food is delicious, oh yeah and they have donuts that are amazing.“
“Absolutely wonderful service. The lady who I believe might be the owner is the sweetest and most patient person you will ever meet. I was struggling to pick sweet souvenirs for my friends and family back home and she helped me, very patiently, and threw in a delicious free gluten free cupcake even after I spent forever making up my mind. She's the best! I'll definitely be back!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free“

“The only place I go for yeast donut holes and donuts in general. Get here early for them because they're almost always sold out by the end of day. I also love the sesame buttermilk donuts here and it's not too sweet. It's all good, you can't go wrong. I'm personally not a big fan of cake donuts in general so I don't have an opinion on those.“
“Little hidden spot. Went in but they didn’t have a lot of options. The one that I ended up getting were soo good!! Would give it another star if they had more options. The donuts are nice and fluffy. Also the lady was super nice and gave me a extra donut. I just notice that I went close to closing so maybe that’s why they didn’t have many options.“
“The Japanese pastries here are delicious and unique and creative! The Naruto croissants are so tasty and such a fun concept. The space is airy and beautiful. I don’t think the complaints on Google for waiting so long are very fair, unfortunately that’s what happens when you visit a cool spot! It comes with the territory and you can’t be upset with an establishment bc of your impatience for their popularity :)“
“I'm not sure why I didn't write this review a long time ago. Embarrassing to say.... But I come here way too often because it's so delicious. I get their Vietnamese coffee (YUM) and either a donut or a ham & cheese croissant. I'm positive everything else there is delicious... but I'm just a creature of habit. The service is unreal, I also come here to catch up with the owners who are absolute angels. Thank you guys for being so awesome and making some AMAZING food and coffee! See you soon!!!“
“Every Sunday whenever my girlfriend and I want to eat here. This seems to be our weekend deal . You'll never go wrong . My girlfriend introduced me to this place. I love love it here. Best place to go . You'll never go wrong. Yummy 4 da tummy“
“This place is extraordinary -- amazing bagels, prepared with wonderful care, along with first-rate service, a truly excellent establishment and experience. This is a place to go to again and again. It's 3:29 a.m. and I am actually thinking of going again right now.“
“I came here many times when I was younger and started craving sweets again. The place is quite clean, a bit dark but it wasn't that bad. The donuts are really good, I got this maple split with cream in the middle. I bought two, one chocolate and one maple for a total of 5 bucks. The owner was really nice and quick service. It brings back memories.“
“This is probably Palm ave’s best kept secret. I remember trying their donuts a few years back and weren’t impressed, but not sure if new management or just didn’t get the right variety that time. Anyways, these are the CRUNCHIEST old fashioned, buttermilk bar and apple fritters I’ve ever had and they’re delicious. They are on the smaller side but I think that’s what gives them their amazing texture. The regular chewy donuts are amazing too - I love coconut! Love them so much we came here two days in a row lol. They do accept card despite older photos saying cash only but I think there may be a fee. Definitely making this our regular spot!“
“BIGGEST DONUT HOLES IN THE BUSINESS!! ok so I'm not from the area but while I was at the tire shop, decided to take a walk and I found a random donut shop next to the car wash detailers... I'm happy I found this Hidden Gem! Yo Almost don't notice it because of the car washing going on around it but right above were all the people are waiting for there cars you see in big letters DONUT TOUCH! (Bravo on the word play) When I walked it it was very clean ambiance and right in front sat a full selection of donuts they even had what looked like red velvet cakes. I order my usual a Buttermilk Glaze and a dozen Donut holes to eat on the road! When I grabbed the first hole and ate it first thing I noticed was the heavy Glaze oh man those girls when crazy with the glaze machine! Second thing was I get like when I ate the donut holes my moth was much fuller than normal, so a grabbed one out the bag and actually looked at it , and BAM it was huge! I thought I was trippin so I held it up to my shift gear, then went to put it in my mouth(pause) and realized I'm literally opening my most all the way just to eat a donut hole! Haha very impressive. Look stop by and see for yourself and let me know am I trippin!!! All in all 5 stars we live "Donut Touch"“
“Yum yum Donuts is a great place to grab a cup of coffee ☕ Glass of Orange juice Breakfast and get your Sugar Fix . Been coming here about 30 years and it is still friendly place to pick up something to drink or eat try it the next time your in Lemon Grove ? ?“
“Love there donuts here at Randy’s. Lots of options here and everything is fresh and delicious. Customer service has always been great.Be aware they are open until 7p or until sold out.For my military fam out there, they do offer military discount.“
“I just bought some donuts and the truth is that the attention of the 2 girls was very pleasant, my child is happy, I really think it is new owners because I stopped buying that time, the staff from before was very rude, the truth is that it is cleaner, more light, more variety I congratulate “
“I had the pleasure of trying the Frozen Matcha Latte at Dunkin' Donuts in downtown San Diego, and it was a delightful experience. Not only is it a guilt-free treat at just 250 calories for a small size, but the entire visit was made even more enjoyable by the fantastic customer service. The outdoor seating area is lovely, offering a perfect spot to relax and enjoy your drink. What truly sets this Dunkin' Donuts apart is that it's hard to find a coffee shop in downtown San Diego that can match their combination of superior drinks, excellent customer service, and wallet-friendly prices. If you're in the area and craving a refreshing, low-calorie beverage, the Frozen Matcha Latte at this Dunkin' Donuts is the way to go.“
“Dark Horse revived my love for coffee. I love the vibe when you walk in to this sweet little shop. It's a nice and simple menu, with got damn good coffee, and amazing pastries. Not to mention, I have gotten the bagel more times than I would like to admit... SO GOOD. Hell, I loved the coffee so much, I even buy the beans to ensure if I don't have time to go in the morning, I make my own at home.Dark Horse over Starbucks, always.“
“The service is amazing and the food has a GREAT value. I had a donut and it is so good. The location is very nice because it is near the beach ?️. I would definitely come here because the prices are cheap compared to the quality of the food.Kid-friendliness: It is super kid friendly, two little kids got a free donut near my table, they were so excited.“
