“I am very touched by the exceptional service I received. Today I brought my 2 children to breakfast and only ordered a coffee for my wife. Yamilet offered me a free dish when she saw that I only drank coffee. I kindly said no, thank you, but they still brought me food to accompany my children. They did not charge me the bill and gave me coffee and juice to take away. God Bless these types of people. and actions a very moving gesture.“
“****Get here very early, no reservations, and lines start 30-45 mins before the place opens*****We heard this place was on the Michelin guide and decided to give it a try. We came on a Monday morning 30 mins before they opened and were surprised to see a line already forming. We ended up waiting for a table, no longer than 20 mins, but it was definitely worth the wait!!We love the vibe of this place, very playful with the decorations, and the energetic and funny staff. The food was amazing, with a very unique breakfast menu we had a hard time choosing, but ended up getting the steak and eggs and the Khachapuri. Steak was cooked perfectly, and the Khachapuri was a unique twist on breakfast that i really enjoyed! The drinks were also top-notch. We got the carmel latte and a matcha latteThe place is relatively small, so if you do not want to wait for a table, you can opt for seats at the bar, which are just as good with some more decorations and view of little Italy. Would highly recommend and lookong forward to. Going back when we visit Cali.“
“Came in on a busy Monday but only had to wait 10 mins! Never had been to this place before but was delighted by Sebastian who accommodated us well and who always was checking on us. The food was so good and loved the crepes at the end very yummy veryyyyy yummy!“
“Nice to little cafe inside the TD America building. I got the French toast special with both sausage and bacon. And then my friend got the waffle special. Everything was excellent. Eggs were scrambled perfect, sausage was flavorful, bacon was meaty and flavorful, and the French toast and waffles were both very good. We will definitely be back.“
“I love Lucky’s ~ he’s a one man band and is such a great man to talk to. I can’t wait to go again.Parking: We parked on the street with no issue at all.Kid-friendliness: My sons love coming here. They are welcomed and Lucky talks to them like they are his own children. He even told my son he couldn’t have soda and brought him milk instead ? I love him!“
“Excellent service. Fun, eclectic interior. Extensive, thoughtful, innovative and well-executed menu. This place is all over it.?My breakfast tacos were packed with lusciousness and were accented beautifully with fresh salsa and a great serrano hot sauce the server provided. I also tried the orange cinnamon roll pancake special; the base pancake batter was just ok, and I didn’t get much orange flavor, but with the great crunchy topping, and the cinnamon both in the butter and swirled nicely into the cake, it was an overall success.?I’ll def hit this place up again the next time I have the opportunity.“
“We come here for breakfast whenever we are in PB visiting family. My husband loves it because It never disappoints. Friendly and fast service. Terrific burrito breakfasts and egg sandwich with large portions. Great coffee. You can sit inside or outside. Prices are reasonable.“
“Had brunch today at the broken yolk was served by Oddy. The staff was on it! Excellent service! The food was very good. Everything was on point! We had to sit outside because we had our four-legged family member and the heater didn't work, but they made up for it with wonderful service and food! I would recommend!!!! Service was exceptional Thank you!“
“Service was amazing, the food was excellent, and the little cafe was absolutely wonderful. Highly recommend the biscuits and gravy, feels very homemade. Grab a cup of apple juice, too. Best I've had! They have indoor and outdoor seating.I'd find street parking because it's .75 cents an hour, and the lot across the street is $10/hr if I remember correctly.“
“If this review shows as edited, that's because I accidentally clicked the post button before getting to writing down the ACTUAL review I had intended to do, a mistake on my part.We sat down for breakfast at about 10:00 AM today, and we were seated promptly, our waiter was a really friendly bald man whose name I forgot to ask. He was really attentive and came to check on us regularly, I also saw him checking up on other patrons. We ordered two cups of coffee and an order of the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs, one over medium, one over easy. The coffee was some of the best we've ever had at a restaurant. The chicken fried steak and home fried potatoes were nice and crispy the sausage gravy was delicious, and the potatoes came fried with red and green bell pepper and onion. The potatoes were crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside, incredibly flavorful. The eggs were cooked exactly as we wanted it.The staff was wonderful, everyone we interacted with was friendly, and they really paid attention to the customers. This place is pretty high up on my list of favorite places to eat in San Diego. We are DEFINITELY coming back to eat here again! It's nice to have a restaurant of this quality in my neighborhood and that is easy to walk to as there isn't many sit down restaurants in the area. I regret not coming to eat here sooner!“
“This place is delicious! There was no wait time, which was surprising because it was Sunday noon. The place was very nice, the atmosphere and the vibes were great! The plates are individually designed, but you can definitely share them with your +1. I ordered the short ribs omelet, turkey Benedict, and Dutch pancake. And to drink a pitcher of Sandia Margarita. Everything was exquisite! 10 out of 10!!Oh! And the waiters... LOVED them!!!“
“I love this place. It’s my favorite place to have breakfast. I’ve been coming to Family house of pancakes for more than 25 years . I always have the Denver omelette and their chocolate pancakes are the best. My family loves the tropical pancakes as well. COME HERE!!!“
“I recently tried The Trails Eatery for breakfast in San Diego, CA, and it was fantastic! The food was delicious, especially the pancakes and omelets. The portions were generous and the cozy atmosphere made it a perfect spot to start the day.“
“Nice place in downtown-ish San Diego we stopped before heading to the airport.Sunday morning around 11, Service was super friendly, a little slow sometimes but Sundays are crazy. Skipped over us a few times. The food was good, the coffee was very good. Nice cappuccino. We had chilaquiles, tamales and pancakes. All were pretty good, certainly not the best we’ve had of any of the three but all high level and done well.Parking is pretty tough had to find a spot 2-3 blocks away. Which is fine.Overall we would definitely come back.“
“The google reviews of the crème brûlée French toast brought us here and my god this place is amazing. After studying the menu closer, we could not decide on what to eat. Everything sounds incredible and all the prices are just spot on. I landed on the Mashed Potato (waffle) and I loved it! The mimosas are great too, and a great price as well. Our server was so outgoing and the location is gorgeous. We’re trying to go to new places during our stay here, but this one is singing the sirens song.“
“I got the chicken Chipotle sandwich and my friend got the tuna salad sandwich. She got the chicken noodle soup on the side while I got the house made kettle chips. Everything was so so delicious. It all tasted so fresh. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the service is so friendly and there was not a single thing that missed. Very well done and hats off to the owner.“
“The food is amazing I recommend the Good Morning America breakfast bun. It's so amazing. The service was excellent as well Aleah was very helpful and made my coffee very tasty. The ambiance is very chill, free water is available and there is an outdoor patio to hang out. Definitely recommend going 5/5 for sure!“
“This place was so great!! Huge menu w so many choices. The eggs Benedict all looked good but I went w a lemon pancake. The smell was so good everyone commented. The portions are almost double what you can eat. The French toast bread was so big I had not seen bread that big. The atmosphere was brought and clean. The service was quick and patient and friendly. We were sat very quickly for a Sunday at 10a. The drinks were served in cool tall glasses. The fresh fruit was real unfrozen fruit. The syrup was clean! The tables were well made and not wobbly. This is a definite repeat location.“
“I went here with a large group where we all tried different parts of the menu. Everything looked good and the portions were a good size. I didn’t love their house potatoes or the “ketchup style sauce” on the tables. Protein scramble was very good though. I’d come back to try more of this menu, but would substitute the potatoes for a different side.“
“100% transparent review. Parkings a little tight Food is 100% worth every bite.(I got the biscuits and gravy plus) Service was great, the young man serving made returners feel like regulars. Will definitely bring my family back not only for the food but to also add a little color.“
“Woah , stumbled upon this gem while on Vacation ! Absolutely hands down , the best meal of our entire trip ♡ The service was great ♡ , they were very attentive , bubbly , & offered great recommendations! We ended up trying the French Toast , Maggie's Green Chilaquilles , Chile Relleno Omlette , & the Biscuts & Gravy ( SOS ) ( Reminded me of my Childhood ) THANK YOU !!!!“
“I loved this little spot in downtown SD. The staff were nice the service was good, they did have a 4% surcharge which we were told was optional but I didn't mind it since the food and the service was good. I got the steak and eggs and it was delicious. From the sounds of it my group really enjoyed the food as well! I paid $40 including the tip for my steak and eggs and an alcoholic beverage.“
“Hannah's Gourmet in San Diego, California, deserves a solid 5 stars! Their vanilla lattes are superb, striking a perfect balance of coffee and vanilla. The green chilaquiles are an absolute delight—crispy tortilla chips, vibrant green sauce, and fresh ingredients create an unforgettable Mexican-inspired experience. The cozy ambiance and attentive staff complete the fantastic dining experience. Don't miss it for an authentic culinary journey!“
“Great food, superb service and a nice café ambiance. You cannot go wrong here. The skillet was excellent and for anyone with a sweet tooth you will not be let down with the dishes offered on the menu. The coffee mugs were topped off by the attentive server who was most cordial. Well worth the visit!“
“The Mission was one of the first establishments to help revitalize North Park. when they opened. There was not much by way of restaurants in the late 90s. The neighborhood was rougher.I grew up on 28th Street. We ate here all the time when they were new. It’s amazing, so we went here this weekend for breakfast. It’s still amazing. There will be a bit of a wait but they turn tables quickly and the food comes out fast. The staff is ready to rock. The prices are fair, and the food is consistently delicious and well portioned. There is a reason this place has been here longer than most of North Park.Long live The Mission“
“The food is outstanding and there is a varied menu. I have never been made to feel so welcome in any establishment I have visited in my life. Beyond the food your visit will be enriched by engaging with Judy 'the beauty on duty' who lavishes love on her customers and the food they eat. Oh, and it is perfectly OK to stop eating and have an impromptu dance.“
“We found our place at the end of our overseas trip. We should have gone there earlier... Awesome food, great coffee, actually it was the best we had in America, comparable to the ones we have in New Zealand.I have recommended it to all our friends and family... We were really impressed.Kudos to the team!???? “
“The bacon and eggs were great! I also had the apple fritter pancakes which were average. Coffee was good and strong, though. Overall it was a very good atmosphere but the pancakes could have had a little more flavor ( kind of dry on one hand but moist where the apples were located on the pancakes). Worth a return visit to sample more foods.“
“This is one of my favorite restaurant to have breakfast that reminds me of my mothers cooking. I'm a huge fan of pancakes and they have never disappointed me with the quality of their food. My husband loves their omelettes and always feels he gets a nice portion for the $$. It's busy, but honestly who cares...it feels like home. The food is bomb! Order and wait time is so quick too, I don't think I have ever waited more than 10 mins (maybe even less) for my food after ordering. Also the ladies and men show great customer service... always topping my coffee off almost instantly.“
“Went for the first time after seeing this place for years. Absolutely amazing food and top quality ingredients. 10/10 will be back. The pancakes are incredible and the service was top notch. They customized our order so we could try multiple items. Loved “
“If you're looking for a hole in the wall this place is for you! This is the perfect breakfast experience. The waitress was funny and amazing and it feels like the dive bar you want for a great breakfast. The flood was awesome. Had the point break which is like the traditional breakfast. Hubs had corned beef hash and added jalapenos which was the perfect spice.10/10 recommend“
“I'm really glad we decided to eat breakfast here. We came at about 9 am on a Sunday morning. We were seated pretty quickly and waited less than 5 minutes for a table. The hostess and server were both very friendly. I love the covered patio area. It's very open. But it still feels like you're inside. Good menu. Good variety of specialties. And a great lineup of different flavored waffles, pancakes, and French toasts. We had the buttermilk pancakes. Really fluffy. The churro French toast, delicious! My son cleared his entire plate! The cornmeal waffle with honey ricotta and blueberries. That was my favorite! The perfect flavor, not too sweet but just right! My husband had the brioche breakfast Sammy. It was really good. The egg on it was perfect. The wake n bacon on it was so yummy. I had the wake n' bloody Mary which was good but the only negative thing I have to say is that I ordered the drinks first and my bloody Mary and husband's coffee didn't arrive until I was halfway finished eating my waffle. Those should have been first. But last then that it was a great experience and we will definitely return.“
“Food was ok .. small we were told 20 min for table but took around 45 min .. it was a Sunday too .so ok no problem.. food was ok .. the waiter was nice but everyone in the front was super busy and they needed someone to bus tables ... Had to ask for utensils twice .. close to Little Italy ..“
“Wow this place is a hidden Gem great place to eat the food was awesome I ordered the Broadway which is grilled ham cheedar cheese melted with avocado super delicious with a side of fries I highly recommend this place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner...????“
“Visiting my cousin and she took me to Breakfast Republic. My San Diego Eggs Benedict were perfect and delicious. The right texture, temperature and flavors. I paired it with the bottomless Cafe de Olla (which was flavorful with spices, but well balanced).“
“Food was amazing, my boyfriend got the sope Benedict and it was very flavorful, I got the breakfast burger and it was huge, couldn't even finish it. Our server Rodrigo was very attentive since the start. Looking forward to coming back!“
“7 Cafe is one of my favorite places to eat in downtown San Diego. Their sandwiches have the best bread, and the pesto pasta side is incredible. My favorite sandwich is the Dank, but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu.Parking: Since the restaurant is Downtown, the parking is either paid parking meter or a paid lot.“
“This place is stunning. Ryan the owner clearly cares about delivering a great experience.I’ve been to many restaurants and bars in downtown San Diego. This is one of the best. I had a delicious brunch here. Easily one of the best. When in downtown, check it out.“
“When I first walked in, and had to check in, I thought, uh oh... snobby wine bar. Well, it is kinda a hipster wine bar, but still pretty cool! It's like walking down into a wine cellar at a Napa winery with it's concrete floors and sparce interior decorations. There are bars set up all around, and little couches for people in the middle of the room.“
“I've had Emilio's Paella several times at the Rancho Santa Fe farmers market and I have to say, it's one of my favorite vendors there. The paella is so good that it rivals the ones that I've had in Madrid and Barcelona! Emilio makes the paella in a giant pan right in front of you, and you can tell that he puts a lot of care into making it. The flavors are incredible and the rice is always cooked perfectly.Recently, I decided to try the procuitto bocadillo for the first time and I don't know why I waited so long to try it! The combination of prosciutto, tomatoes, and roasted red pepper is absolutely delicious. I will definitely be getting one of these sandwiches the next time I visit Emilio's Paella. If you're at the farmers market and you're looking for something delicious to eat, definitely stop by Emilio's Paella. You won't regret it!“
“Great breakfast!! The biscuit on this country Benedict was maybe one of the best I've ever had. It's SO big and good. AND they served this with three poached eggs rather than two. The biggest benedict portion I've ever had and super tasty!“
“My favorite breakfast place in San Diego! Not overpriced like many of the other places here. The ambiance is so nice (cute restaurant in one of Point Loma's oldest houses). The food is amazing and always SO hot so you know it's fresh. The coffee is absolutely amazing. I never buy coffee out, but I'll treat myself to a coffee here since it's something I know I'll never be able to make as good at home. Service is awesome - everyone is so kind and helpful. I always bring people that visit to breakfast here and everyone has loved it. They have tons of different options for people (basic breakfasts and cool new things to try). Bakery items are always so yummy too! It's also dog friendly on the patio which is always a plus for me! Highly recommend you try this place out!“
“I met a very good childhood friend for breakfast this morning. We are actually trying to do the flavors of San Diego. I have done some extensive research on breakfast and brunch places to go and eat and the Broken Yolk Cafe came up. as a place for us to try. We decided to meet at 9 o'clock and it was the broken yolk café on Plaza Bonita Road. It was actually not in the mall but a separate entrance to the café both from the outside patio or you could walk into the mall to the front doors. It was great to see on arrival that they had outside seating that had an covered patio, so we immediately thought that we would sit outside. The inside was very quaint and looked comfortable, but it was a lot more quieter out in the patio area. It was not even one minute before we were greeted by our server and asked if we would like something to drink, we received our ice waters with lemon with a happy smiling face, and he was quite the character. I already looked at the menu the night before, but I let my friend take a minute to grass all the bountiful different offerings they had we ordered our food. My friend ordered the Betty's breakfast and gravy, and I ordered the two eggs Benedict anyway which means that you can choose from any two of the eggs Benedict that they make to your, they both came with crispy hash-browns And my friends also had fried chicken on top of the gravy and the homemade biscuits. Both plates looked inviting and delicious. It wasn't before we actually were comparing notes on how good the food was. It was incredible., I had the Golden State and the Sopa Benedict's both were equally good. The recommendation for the Golden State was from our server and he was spot on when he said it was his favorite. It will be a place I will frequent and would like to say thank you to the broken yolk Café for a great breakfast time and great food and an excellent server“
