“****Get here very early, no reservations, and lines start 30-45 mins before the place opens*****We heard this place was on the Michelin guide and decided to give it a try. We came on a Monday morning 30 mins before they opened and were surprised to see a line already forming. We ended up waiting for a table, no longer than 20 mins, but it was definitely worth the wait!!We love the vibe of this place, very playful with the decorations, and the energetic and funny staff. The food was amazing, with a very unique breakfast menu we had a hard time choosing, but ended up getting the steak and eggs and the Khachapuri. Steak was cooked perfectly, and the Khachapuri was a unique twist on breakfast that i really enjoyed! The drinks were also top-notch. We got the carmel latte and a matcha latteThe place is relatively small, so if you do not want to wait for a table, you can opt for seats at the bar, which are just as good with some more decorations and view of little Italy. Would highly recommend and lookong forward to. Going back when we visit Cali.“
“Best breakfast of 2024. The duck and truffle omelette is definitely catapulted my cholesterol levels to the moon but it was worth it. It was greasy due to the truffle oil and eggs but absolutely delicious. The restaurant has indoor/outdoor seating. Music was on point and staff was energetic. A great spot for Sunday brunch“
“I love Lucky’s ~ he’s a one man band and is such a great man to talk to. I can’t wait to go again.Parking: We parked on the street with no issue at all.Kid-friendliness: My sons love coming here. They are welcomed and Lucky talks to them like they are his own children. He even told my son he couldn’t have soda and brought him milk instead ? I love him!“
“Nice to little cafe inside the TD America building. I got the French toast special with both sausage and bacon. And then my friend got the waffle special. Everything was excellent. Eggs were scrambled perfect, sausage was flavorful, bacon was meaty and flavorful, and the French toast and waffles were both very good. We will definitely be back.“
“Visiting Del Mar for a family event, we happened on the Broken Yolk cafe. It was Sunday at 11 am, seeing a small crowd waiting for a table boded well for a local favorite breakfast spot. The menu was extensive. We ordered eggs, Machaca and Heuvos Rancheros, both delish! My favorite part of the meal was the excellent service given by Geraldo. He was so welcoming and attentive, a giant thank you to him.“
“Excellent service. Fun, eclectic interior. Extensive, thoughtful, innovative and well-executed menu. This place is all over it.?My breakfast tacos were packed with lusciousness and were accented beautifully with fresh salsa and a great serrano hot sauce the server provided. I also tried the orange cinnamon roll pancake special; the base pancake batter was just ok, and I didn’t get much orange flavor, but with the great crunchy topping, and the cinnamon both in the butter and swirled nicely into the cake, it was an overall success.?I’ll def hit this place up again the next time I have the opportunity.“
“We come here for breakfast whenever we are in PB visiting family. My husband loves it because It never disappoints. Friendly and fast service. Terrific burrito breakfasts and egg sandwich with large portions. Great coffee. You can sit inside or outside. Prices are reasonable.“
“Easily one the best joints I have found in the past few years. The quality of their steak as part of a breakfast meal was way better than I am used to outside of a dinner at a high end steak place. One of us has a gluten allergy and they had plenty of great gluten free options. I have been twice in two days now and all of the food has been excellent. Their staff are also super welcoming and courteous.Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free“
“This place is so cute!! I just loved it. The prices were fantastic, we had food for two and a side for a baby for less than 60$. We had Chan for our server and he was just great, left us alone but also was making sure we were taken care of. We would definitely come here again!“
“I finally tried the pumpkin waffle and it was lighter than I expected and was delicious. Friendly service, few people there the last hour before closing. The parking was a test of patience.Parking: Beware the parking spaces are in high demand and the parking meters are not always in working order. Twice the parking meter I was at did not work. I was so excited to find a spot and then had to move once because the meter was broken. I learned my lesson from a time before when I was given a ticket. It was drizzling and the meter to the left facing the restaurant was malfunctioning. The interface was hard to read because of the elements. I guess they malfunction in the rain. I wish there were more parking options. I miss free street parking.Kid-friendliness: It's a smaller place, the chairs and vibe are more adult-y. The chairs are more for couples and the seating is tight. There are many other better options for kids.“
“Came here for breakfast. Service was fast. I was seated almost immediately and my server brought out a cup of coffee for me to start on right away. This guy worked fast and monitored everyone in his area like a hawk. I decided on the Greek style omelet with egg whites, feta cheese, spinach and olives. I also ordered a tall glass of fresh orange juice which he brought over immediately. Sounds delicious, I thought. While waiting for my omelet, my server came over to refill my coffee at least 3 times - one time he filled it after I had only taken 2 sips of coffee lol. Wow, I love this guy! Every restaurant server in America needs to learn from him. I don't think the wait for my meal took more than about 6 minutes. He brought out a beautiful piping hot dish with a bowl of fruit in the middle that looked delicious. I dug in as I was pretty hungry. It was good with a real strong Mediterranean flavor. The only issue I had with the omelet was there were just too many olives stuffed inside which overpowered the rest of the ingredients. I pulled out at least 10 olives and now the meal tasted much better. The meal was a little pricey at $28 but the food was good quality. The fruit was fresh, the coffee hot and satisfying and orange juice tasted freshly squeezed.“
“I got the chicken Chipotle sandwich and my friend got the tuna salad sandwich. She got the chicken noodle soup on the side while I got the house made kettle chips. Everything was so so delicious. It all tasted so fresh. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the service is so friendly and there was not a single thing that missed. Very well done and hats off to the owner.“
“This place is delicious! There was no wait time, which was surprising because it was Sunday noon. The place was very nice, the atmosphere and the vibes were great! The plates are individually designed, but you can definitely share them with your +1. I ordered the short ribs omelet, turkey Benedict, and Dutch pancake. And to drink a pitcher of Sandia Margarita. Everything was exquisite! 10 out of 10!!Oh! And the waiters... LOVED them!!!“
“If this review shows as edited, that's because I accidentally clicked the post button before getting to writing down the ACTUAL review I had intended to do, a mistake on my part.We sat down for breakfast at about 10:00 AM today, and we were seated promptly, our waiter was a really friendly bald man whose name I forgot to ask. He was really attentive and came to check on us regularly, I also saw him checking up on other patrons. We ordered two cups of coffee and an order of the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs, one over medium, one over easy. The coffee was some of the best we've ever had at a restaurant. The chicken fried steak and home fried potatoes were nice and crispy the sausage gravy was delicious, and the potatoes came fried with red and green bell pepper and onion. The potatoes were crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside, incredibly flavorful. The eggs were cooked exactly as we wanted it.The staff was wonderful, everyone we interacted with was friendly, and they really paid attention to the customers. This place is pretty high up on my list of favorite places to eat in San Diego. We are DEFINITELY coming back to eat here again! It's nice to have a restaurant of this quality in my neighborhood and that is easy to walk to as there isn't many sit down restaurants in the area. I regret not coming to eat here sooner!“
“Love this place! I had the zen breakfast and found it delicious and filling. The staff were excellent and the atmosphere was busy but well managed. Will definitely return.Vegetarian options: Zen breakfast came with egg whites and salsa, deliciously cooked tofu, grilled vegetables, and brown rice. Very tasty and would order again!“
“The food is amazing I recommend the Good Morning America breakfast bun. It's so amazing. The service was excellent as well Aleah was very helpful and made my coffee very tasty. The ambiance is very chill, free water is available and there is an outdoor patio to hang out. Definitely recommend going 5/5 for sure!“
“Service was alright.Food was meh. I've been here before and it feels like the quality went down a little. Their Jurassic bacon was barely cooked, the french toast were bland, the mascarpone and the strawberries tastes old. The s'mores french toast was average.“
“The google reviews of the crème brûlée French toast brought us here and my god this place is amazing. After studying the menu closer, we could not decide on what to eat. Everything sounds incredible and all the prices are just spot on. I landed on the Mashed Potato (waffle) and I loved it! The mimosas are great too, and a great price as well. Our server was so outgoing and the location is gorgeous. We’re trying to go to new places during our stay here, but this one is singing the sirens song.“
“Hannah's Gourmet in San Diego, California, deserves a solid 5 stars! Their vanilla lattes are superb, striking a perfect balance of coffee and vanilla. The green chilaquiles are an absolute delight—crispy tortilla chips, vibrant green sauce, and fresh ingredients create an unforgettable Mexican-inspired experience. The cozy ambiance and attentive staff complete the fantastic dining experience. Don't miss it for an authentic culinary journey!“
“This place was so great!! Huge menu w so many choices. The eggs Benedict all looked good but I went w a lemon pancake. The smell was so good everyone commented. The portions are almost double what you can eat. The French toast bread was so big I had not seen bread that big. The atmosphere was brought and clean. The service was quick and patient and friendly. We were sat very quickly for a Sunday at 10a. The drinks were served in cool tall glasses. The fresh fruit was real unfrozen fruit. The syrup was clean! The tables were well made and not wobbly. This is a definite repeat location.“
“I went here with a large group where we all tried different parts of the menu. Everything looked good and the portions were a good size. I didn’t love their house potatoes or the “ketchup style sauce” on the tables. Protein scramble was very good though. I’d come back to try more of this menu, but would substitute the potatoes for a different side.“
“Woah , stumbled upon this gem while on Vacation ! Absolutely hands down , the best meal of our entire trip ♡ The service was great ♡ , they were very attentive , bubbly , & offered great recommendations! We ended up trying the French Toast , Maggie's Green Chilaquilles , Chile Relleno Omlette , & the Biscuts & Gravy ( SOS ) ( Reminded me of my Childhood ) THANK YOU !!!!“
“We had a reservation and when we checked in we were told it was a 20 minute wait. What? I'm less than a few seconds the manager turned around and said -well seat you in just a moment and about two minutes later they did. That was the only glitch. Server was great and the doors was very good. Even though they were h busy it was a nice exlerince.“
“Totally the coolest breakfast place!! Decor is so creative and fun with various seating options. Staff friendly and helpful. Food awesome. I feel I am hooked up on their special cinnamon coffee just after one cup. What a fabulous way to start a day! MUST come back!“
“Great and fast service. You can park here as well but just need to park underneath the building and they validate you for 2 hours. the portions are huge as well. I had the country fried steak with rosemary potatoes and a coffee all for under $20 ??. kept me full all day and tasted great. will return“
“Great food, superb service and a nice café ambiance. You cannot go wrong here. The skillet was excellent and for anyone with a sweet tooth you will not be let down with the dishes offered on the menu. The coffee mugs were topped off by the attentive server who was most cordial. Well worth the visit!“
“Honestly my favorite breakfast joint. All the food here is great and tastes awesome. My personal favorite is the Pork Belly Benny. Service is hit or miss. I've been coming here for a long time and while most waiters are decent there are some that very unpleasant/rude. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. Soooo much better than Broken Yolk Cafe or similar breakfast/lunch spots. Snooze is a chain, but it doesn't feel corporate and the food doesn't taste it either. Highly recommend!“
“Looking for the friendly restaurants that are dog friendly? Patio space is open and inviting. Food is good and service was timely! The Vanilla Matcha Tea Latte was delicious, not sweet. Breakfast Snooze classic and Sam I am are our go to favorites!“
“The Mission was one of the first establishments to help revitalize North Park. when they opened. There was not much by way of restaurants in the late 90s. The neighborhood was rougher.I grew up on 28th Street. We ate here all the time when they were new. It’s amazing, so we went here this weekend for breakfast. It’s still amazing. There will be a bit of a wait but they turn tables quickly and the food comes out fast. The staff is ready to rock. The prices are fair, and the food is consistently delicious and well portioned. There is a reason this place has been here longer than most of North Park.Long live The Mission“
“The service isn't fast but the character of the staff and the delicious food will leave you smiling all day. Vegan options available. I had the tofu Ranchero served with fried potatoes.Vegetarian options: Vegan options. Tofu scramble can be substituted for any egg dish. Soyrizo also available.“
“We found our place at the end of our overseas trip. We should have gone there earlier... Awesome food, great coffee, actually it was the best we had in America, comparable to the ones we have in New Zealand.I have recommended it to all our friends and family... We were really impressed.Kudos to the team!???? “
“The bacon and eggs were great! I also had the apple fritter pancakes which were average. Coffee was good and strong, though. Overall it was a very good atmosphere but the pancakes could have had a little more flavor ( kind of dry on one hand but moist where the apples were located on the pancakes). Worth a return visit to sample more foods.“
“If you're looking for a hole in the wall this place is for you! This is the perfect breakfast experience. The waitress was funny and amazing and it feels like the dive bar you want for a great breakfast. The flood was awesome. Had the point break which is like the traditional breakfast. Hubs had corned beef hash and added jalapenos which was the perfect spice.10/10 recommend“
“7 Cafe is one of my favorite places to eat in downtown San Diego. Their sandwiches have the best bread, and the pesto pasta side is incredible. My favorite sandwich is the Dank, but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu.Parking: Since the restaurant is Downtown, the parking is either paid parking meter or a paid lot.“
“When I first walked in, and had to check in, I thought, uh oh... snobby wine bar. Well, it is kinda a hipster wine bar, but still pretty cool! It's like walking down into a wine cellar at a Napa winery with it's concrete floors and sparce interior decorations. There are bars set up all around, and little couches for people in the middle of the room.“
“I've had Emilio's Paella several times at the Rancho Santa Fe farmers market and I have to say, it's one of my favorite vendors there. The paella is so good that it rivals the ones that I've had in Madrid and Barcelona! Emilio makes the paella in a giant pan right in front of you, and you can tell that he puts a lot of care into making it. The flavors are incredible and the rice is always cooked perfectly.Recently, I decided to try the procuitto bocadillo for the first time and I don't know why I waited so long to try it! The combination of prosciutto, tomatoes, and roasted red pepper is absolutely delicious. I will definitely be getting one of these sandwiches the next time I visit Emilio's Paella. If you're at the farmers market and you're looking for something delicious to eat, definitely stop by Emilio's Paella. You won't regret it!“
“I'm really glad we decided to eat breakfast here. We came at about 9 am on a Sunday morning. We were seated pretty quickly and waited less than 5 minutes for a table. The hostess and server were both very friendly. I love the covered patio area. It's very open. But it still feels like you're inside. Good menu. Good variety of specialties. And a great lineup of different flavored waffles, pancakes, and French toasts. We had the buttermilk pancakes. Really fluffy. The churro French toast, delicious! My son cleared his entire plate! The cornmeal waffle with honey ricotta and blueberries. That was my favorite! The perfect flavor, not too sweet but just right! My husband had the brioche breakfast Sammy. It was really good. The egg on it was perfect. The wake n bacon on it was so yummy. I had the wake n' bloody Mary which was good but the only negative thing I have to say is that I ordered the drinks first and my bloody Mary and husband's coffee didn't arrive until I was halfway finished eating my waffle. Those should have been first. But last then that it was a great experience and we will definitely return.“
“Food was ok .. small we were told 20 min for table but took around 45 min .. it was a Sunday too .so ok no problem.. food was ok .. the waiter was nice but everyone in the front was super busy and they needed someone to bus tables ... Had to ask for utensils twice .. close to Little Italy ..“
“Visiting my cousin and she took me to Breakfast Republic. My San Diego Eggs Benedict were perfect and delicious. The right texture, temperature and flavors. I paired it with the bottomless Cafe de Olla (which was flavorful with spices, but well balanced).“
“This place is a San Diego grown classic. Food is solid but the hospitality is noticeably extraordinary. Staff is extremely nice and very attentive. Excellent experience from start to finish. They set a gold star bar for hospitality and whoever is doing the training and hiring does an excellent job because there are so many staff and everyone who interacted with me was on point which is super rare.“
“Went on a Friday morning and got seated outside. The server took a while to get to us. We didn't get water or drink orders in for about 10 minutes. Maybe we were a little bit early, and they were still setting up? It's still not great when you don't get served for 10 minutes. There was a table with what seemed like regulars, and they had a dog with them on the patio, and they seemed to get very good service, and almost all the servers approached them. The food was good. I ordered the crab cake bennie, and the taste was spot on. My only complaint was that it was cold. It seemed like they did not take the time to warm up the crab cake. Everyone else in the family enjoyed their meals and no complaints from them.I would go back and breakfast there again. It seemed like a really cool locals spot, and if you were a regular, they would definitely treat you very well.“
“We went to Jennings house for breakfast on Saturday and it was amazing. We have been many times, but this visit seemed like the best. Their place is always super clean with beautiful plants and decorations. They have a nice outdoor space or indoor if it’s cold as it was on Saturday morning. They also have this unique ordering system. It’s not just a menu on your phone, but you can order all of your items and pay on your phone. It speeds everything up especially check out time. The food is great! I had a scramble and my partner had their signature French toast, which is hard to describe, but it’s amazing. It’s specially made and I’ve never seen anything like it anywhere else. Also, we each had a scone for Jennings House Anniversary and it was the best scone I’d ever had. I don’t even like scones and these were so flavorful and perfectly baked. I highly recommend Jennings HouseParking: It’s easy -plenty of street parking every time we visit“
“This place is stunning. Ryan the owner clearly cares about delivering a great experience.I’ve been to many restaurants and bars in downtown San Diego. This is one of the best. I had a delicious brunch here. Easily one of the best. When in downtown, check it out.“
“Found this little place on Mission Beach through Trip Advisor and it did not disappoint. My son and I had the Mirning Woody burger and it was delicious. Served with fried potatoes which were also good. Only downside was that my wife’s order of Avocado toast was missed. The staff offered to make her one fast but the moment had passed. ?“
“The food is just spectacular. Not to mention their service. We were celebrating my nieces 6th birthday and she enjoyed every moment of it. This place is kid and pet friendly just like most restaurants in San Diego. Definitely coming back here when I visit.“
“The time has come to make an honest review- I've ordered for the past 6+?months ordering only the Firebird burrito for breakfast here or there when craving it, maybe 6-7 times total. I like to see if it was just a hit or miss on perfection with multiple orders, multiple locations of delivery. IMO- honestly, this is the best damn breakfast burrito by a mile I've had for years and years (for sure). I ordered many times using Doordash (which can be inconsistent due to the travel/lag time/maybe the egg got too hard) but these Firebirds have been POINT ON. The runny egg is totally key- it's pure perfection in a tortilla with that chicken, the sauce, those green onions and the coue de resistance runny yolks. Highly recommend!!!!“
“Easily the BEST BREAKFAST in San Diego! The waitress Ana is so friendly and handles the whole restaurant with ease. The food!! The food is amazing they have hash browns with peppers and onions... so good! And the BEST BISCUITS AND GRAVY ever!! A real gem and they open at 7 for you early birds. Came here once last week and now I go everyday. Seriously so good!“
“Good variety at the brunch buffet, good service. It was my wife's bday and a festive platter of macarons, cheesecake and dipped strawberries awaite our arrival! That was a beautiful surprise! Right out the door is Seaport Village which is nice for a post-buffet stroll and shopping.“
“IHOP is one of my all-time favorites when you're hungry for breakfast anytime of the day. What I love the best is definitely the strawberry crepes although just happened to taste the Nashville spicy chicken sandwich. I am impressed!! The chicken was crispy, the sauce was a complex smoky, peppery taste rich in texture and deeply satisfying. I will be back for more.Parking: There is lots and lots of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible.“
“We didn't have to wait for a table on a Sunday afternoon, which was surprising.I visited the restaurant twice in a week. The food was good. I tried the Chilaquiles, the breakfast toastadas, SD Benedict and the protein scramble. Loved the crispy potatoes! It's a cute little spot for breakfast with a great variety of vegetarian options too.Parking can be tricky.“
