Umami Japanese Restaurant in San Marcos offers delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere. The food was very good, and the ambiance was enjoyable. I had a great experience dining there and would recommend it to others looking for tasty Japanese cuisine in the area!
Sushi is great, by far the best sushi in San Marcos. Menu selection is phenomenal and the appetizers are yummy. The only downside is the service is so terribly slow. Only one server was working and there was so many people outside just standing around waiting for a table but they called someone from the waitlist like every 30 minutes. After a few drinks at Draft Republic with some friends, we want to eat some sushi so we came here. I ordered the Casanova. Inside the roll had shrimp, cream cheese and asparagus. The top of the roll had salmon and avocado. Finally the sauce was a spicy Mayo sauce. This definitely hit the spot and nice atmosphere in the restaurant as well!
