The food was average but I had hoped it was better. I would advise against ordering ramen and karaage. The chashu had a nice charred flavor from being grilled but it didn't save the ramen. The issue I had with the ramen is that it is different from what it says on the menu. I got the shoyu ramen which according to the menu should be pork broth based, but either there was no pork proth in it or it's too thin for me to notice. It didn't come with the boiled egg either. I had to ask for it and I was only given half an egg. This was not made clear on the menu as I expected a whole egg. I guess the added insult to injury was was really a boiled egg in contrast to the usual flavored egg you get for ramen. However, to be fair on the menu it did say boiled egg; I just expected better. The karaage was freshly fried but there was no seasoning or marinade in the chicken meat whatsoever. Karaage is supposed to have flavor and taste good on its own with the option to enhance flavor with whatever sauce / seasoning is on the side.I'm not interested in coming back and I would hesitate to recommend this place.

Loved the sushi and sashimi B set that we ordered. Service however was disappointing. We had to grab the soy sauce ourselves and eat our sushi’s without plates ….

After a few drinks at Draft Republic with some friends, we want to eat some sushi so we came here. I ordered the Casanova. Inside the roll had shrimp, cream cheese and asparagus. The top of the roll had salmon and avocado. Finally the sauce was a spicy Mayo sauce. This definitely hit the spot and nice atmosphere in the restaurant as well!

Sushi is great, by far the best sushi in San Marcos. Menu selection is phenomenal and the appetizers are yummy. The only downside is the service is so terribly slow. Only one server was working and there was so many people outside just standing around waiting for a table but they called someone from the waitlist like every 30 minutes. It’s located in a new neighborhood made for the nearby university, lots of young people and really nice setting and vibe around the surrounding shops/restaurants.
