“First time checking out this location, and it is a massive upgrade compared to the Mira Mesa spot! The place is super bright, modern, and has a huge dining area with plenty of seating. They also have self-ordering kiosks, which makes things really quick.

A special shoutout to Emiliano for the fantastic service—we were greeted the second we walked through the door. While we were there, he was super patient helping another customer who had never been to a Dave’s before, even recommending meals based on how hungry they were.

On top of that, the location is super convenient right off the freeway, and parking in the shopping center was a breeze. Definitely coming back to this location from now on!”

“I just moved to Escondido, about 5 min from this place. I had no idea it had just opened up. I’ve been here 4 times now! I’ve tried the rice bowls, the soup, the sandwiches and the shaved ice. Everything is sooooo good. The only thing I will say that’s negative is that the AC doesn’t work too well in the restaurant. It’s been so hot out that it would be nice to come into a nice refreshing establishment. It may not be their fault. But if they could get that fixed that would be the cherry on top!”

I had their Italian omelette and if I had to rate it on a one to 10 scale with 10 being the best, I would give it a 12. This is the Vista location. Highly recommend this place for breakfast and lunch, as they are not open for dinner.”

“My husband and I were on our way home from San Diego and wanted something delicious for lunch. I Googled “best restaurants in Escondido” and H Bros was on the list with a 4.7 ratings. Well it should be a 5 in our opinion! Starting with the young man who greeted us…..happily answered questions we had about the menu, gave us ice water and offered us to have a seat to review the menu before ordering at the counter. After we ordered and got our food (Philly cheesesteak sandwiches and homemade potato chips) we were checked on twice by the nice young man and a pleasant young lady! The food was amazing! We could tell that they put a lot of effort into preparation and it was served hot! We will be returning in the future!”

“I think they have the best middle Eastern food in the county. I love their rice. Platters are huge and you'll get three meals out of it - two if you're a big eater! I don't know what they're called but the pickled veggies (part of platters) are amazing and so it their baba ganoush. There is plenty of parking.”

“Went with a group of friends for an evening out and did the wine pairing to maximize the experience. The service was great, the wine pairing wines were well selected, but a few of the dishes missed the mark. Struggled between giving a 3 or a 4 rating because of the mixed dish experience but know restaurants live or die by these reviews so erring on rounding up to a 4.

Nectarine bruschetta: 3/5 delightful and fresh start but the toast was a little burnt and very crunchy.

Beef carpaccio: 4/5 well seasoned and delicious but found the bell pepper curd a little strong and overwhelmed the palette.

Poached Sea Oof this one was a struggle. I really wanted to like it but found this to be a huge let down. Sea Bream is a delicate and delicious fish but didn't find much flavor in the fish, sauce, or vegetable accoutrements. My fish filet also had many bones which really hurt the experience. The whole table was not a fan. Giving a 2 because it was beautifully cooked but missing flavors and textures (other than the bones).

Chicken best dish of the night. A few of the mushroom bites were a little tough but cleaned my plate and found everything else delicious

Cherry tiramisu: 4/5 cherries to tiramisu ratio was good and gave a rich bite but wasn't anything groundbreaking.

Ultimately, I did not leave hungry (which has been my experience with a few tasting menus in the past) but wasn't wowed. Maybe when the menu changes I'll have a change of heart but probably is not a repeat experience”

“A classical diner atmosphere, like Jimmy's or Denny's. Staff were very polite & accommodating, even bringing iced water for a service dog in our party. Wait was minimal & the nice waitress was attentive & thoughtful! The prices at first seemed on the higher end, but the quality & portions were excellent & worth it! They make soups, mashed potatoes & corn bread from scratch & likely more, you can tell. I'd recommend if in the neighborhood, you won't regret it! 👍”

They are dog friendly for outdoor seating but be warned, there are three winery dogs who roam free; so don’t bring dog reactive dogs here. Otherwise, this is a fantastic winery to visit. They offer small shareable plates to snack on. Kids are welcome but they have to stay inside in a side room (that’s all glass walls so easy to spot). Parking lot is stone and there’s a narrow road to get in so drive slow. Overall, great for tasting or a lovely afternoon”

Their execution of this dish, in a humble strip mall pizzeria, rivals or exceeds some sit down Italian restaurants in the area. Highly recommended. Comes with bread 🤗”

“I went to O’Brien’s for the first time today. My Mother-in-law highly recommended the restaurant so I could meet my friend. The food was delicious. The service was great- Thank You Sarah and team. I am so excited to try the different types of breads and pastries. O’ Brien’s is known for their delicious breads, especially sour dough. If you are in the San Diego area, differently check out this restaurant! Sit down and relax with your favorite cup of coffee or tea with a sweet pastry, great bread or something from their delicious menu.”

So many Fantastic options to choose from you can't really go wrong with any of them picking a two item with three item plate and the portion that they give you the entrees are very gracious. And even more so if you happen to get in there right before closing time cuz they got to do something with the food. But give him a shot if you haven't done so yet you're missing out this is easily one of the better fast food restaurants in the city so get to it. My personal recommendations are the coconut shrimp and the chicken with mushrooms pretty much my go-to order every time I go here.”

Everyone was fed, full, and thriving. They even left us late-night bites, which was a heroic move. The food was fresh, tasty, and the setup was clean and cute, not your typical chaotic pizza situation. For context, we had about 25 people, everyone was stuffed, and we still had leftovers. I’d hire them again in a heartbeat and would recommend them to anyone throwing a party who wants zero stress and very full guests.”

Tonight I tried fish taco for 5.90 for the first time and HOLY MOLY I was sooo impressed!!! That was the best fish taco I've had in years. That was the best fish taco I've had since having cotijas in mira mesa back in 2016. They gave me three whole beer battered fish in a big taco of two corn tortillas with lots of pico, crema, etc so I was able to split it up into two amazing tacos. I highly recommend!!!”

They mostly serve just alcoholic kombucha and 1 rotating local beer on tap, and like 2 non-alcoholic kombuchas. All of their kombucha is good with unique flavor profiles for each type. I love all their lemonade versions - tastes like actual lemonade to me, and they use cool fruits in their kombucha like dragonfruit! If you like it, they sell bottles, and can also bottle one for you then snd there. They usually have live music Friday and Saturday and events throughout the week. The vibe is definitely worth coming in and having a drink.”

“I just moved to Escondido, about 5 min from this place. I had no idea it had just opened up. I’ve been here 4 times now! I’ve tried the rice bowls, the soup, the sandwiches and the shaved ice. Everything is sooooo good. The only thing I will say that’s negative is that the AC doesn’t work too well in the restaurant. It’s been so hot out that it would be nice to come into a nice refreshing establishment. It may not be their fault. But if they could get that fixed that would be the cherry on top!”

“I went to O’Brien’s for the first time today. My Mother-in-law highly recommended the restaurant so I could meet my friend. The food was delicious. The service was great- Thank You Sarah and team. I am so excited to try the different types of breads and pastries. O’ Brien’s is known for their delicious breads, especially sour dough. If you are in the San Diego area, differently check out this restaurant! Sit down and relax with your favorite cup of coffee or tea with a sweet pastry, great bread or something from their delicious menu.”

A friend introduced us to this place, and the first time they came over, they brought Faloodeh with them. It was an amazing surprise! I heard that on special days, they have Faloodeh, which is something you have to experience. Once you try it, you'll be a customer for life! And there's also something amazing where they mix carrot juice with ice cream – it's incredibly delicious. Highly recommend!”

“I visited this coffee shop every day when on vacation close by. Such tasty drinks and the baristas are super friendly. So glad to have been within walking distance of this local place to treat myself to some yummy coffee! Three days later and I’m still thinking about the dirty chai and tiramisu lattes! Love that they make their own syrups and the drinks are not too sweet.”

“My family and I went to this restaurant yesterday and we HIGHLY recommend it!! We got 3 kinds of curry dishes (curry chicken, tikka masala, and korma) and they were all delicious! We even ordered extra to have for lunch the next day. We also tried the raita, rice pudding and this mango ice cream dessert and they were so good and the flavors are incredible. The raita was so fresh! Our server was so sweet, she always made sure our drinks were filled and was patient and kind- plus she made the recommendation for the mango ice cream dessert and we loved it (Pic below)! Oh and the garlic cilantro naan was fire!!! We will be back!”

“Came here for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. It was empty, but after having the food, I’m a bit confused as to why. The food was delicious. Everything in the photo was fresh and the presentation resembles how much the owner cares about serving an experience.

The chicken was juicy and tender. The kabob could have been a little bit more moist but overall it was still very flavorful. In his defense, I struck up a serious conversation with him as he was making my order on the topic of the economy and how hard it is right now for small businesses. That said I will be back to spend my dollar here easily.

I pray that more people come to support this small business! I’m considering ordering a larger quantity of food to share my experience with my clients I market to.

Instead of the fast food around this area, hands down I feel more satisfied with my decision to dine in here. Truly grateful for fresh and healthy options. I highly recommend this spot!”
