“In a region with a booming winery scene, Speckle Rock is a step above the rest. We've been there a number of times now and always enjoy the view, the wine, and the live music. They're very laid-back about reserving tables for any size party if you call in advance, and every table has a beautiful view out over the valley. A new highlight from our visit this past weekend is their Vineyard Tour. Call to check when this is being offered, but it was an absolute blast to get to ride around the property and see all the fascinating hidden gems tucked away around the vines. There's history in those hills I had no idea of, and it was a great time getting to explore it all!”

“Awesome small independent brewery in Escondido CA. It's definitely an unpretentious location that I love. I consider myself a IPA enthusiast and the Backyard Brewery's West coast IPA is one of my all time favorites. The owner, brewmaster is the bartender and is super friendly and can explain the ingredients of every beer on tap. They also have a store on site that supplies home brewing equipment.I live in Cleveland OH and spend a lot of time in North County. This was a great find and I'll definitely be visiting again soon.”

Everyone we encountered was genuinely friendly and inviting, especially the owner who invited our 5-year old to help her round up the pigs on the property. The space was peaceful with plenty of outdoor space. We enjoyed both wines we tried and will certainly be back very soon!”
“Joes Italian is a good choice when I'm in town. The antipasto salad is an excellent choice. The eggplant parmigiana is very delicious the flavor was excellent. The service is good. They cook the food fresh, the ambiance is good. I like the retro Italian restaurant vibes. I have been here multiple times and Joes never disappoints.”

I always say this when we're there but I feel like what makes Sunnyside so good is that it doesn't taste like restaurant food. “It is great to have options for vegan, especially in Mexican food. It is a small eatery with a few tables, comfortable enough for a quick dine-in. The chorizo potato phatties were really good. The enchiladas suizas and handmade tortillas were ok, not as flavorful as we had hoped. One of us ordered the sampler plate, but it was not fabulous, just ok. He didn't eat much of it. We were told the only way to get salsa was to order chips and salsa, which we did even though we didn't eat the chips - just wanted salsa. Salsa was good.Vegetarian options: Menu is vegan!Dietary restrictions: All vegan items! They were kind enough to look into whether or not their chips and other items were GF. “This place is down the street from my house, I finally stopped in here a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised. The service was great, I love the fact that they have photos and descriptions of the food. The food was fantastic and very fresh. I had an avacado shrimp salad, which was delightful. I went back 1 week later, and again, the food was spot on. I ordered the shrimp taco and a Cajun salmon taco. They both were fantastic. This place will definitely continue to get my business.”
“The meat of the Adobada was .... *Chefs kiss* ? fatty, flavorful, everything you would want. The carne asada also was good. For anyone on a low carb diet, like myself, ask for half Adobada and half carne asada, no fries but with everything else. Grab some grilled onions and jalapeños and throw those on top with some radish and lime and their red and green salsas.... You will not be disappointed. A TON of food for $16 total. Worth every penny with that flavor and I was stuffed... I would've liked green onions but tbh the ones they had were fine.”

I was not let down and it tastes great, not overly sweet either as some are.The location is quiet and relaxed, plenty of seating inside and out. The staff is attentive and friendly!Recommend and will be coming back for the orange peel Mocha!”
“Excellent! Saw it on maps and just decided to stop for lunch with the family. None of us had ever been there. First off large menu with a variety of dishes. Hospitality and service were amazing! Ordered the house made Mac n cheese with bacon, and split the Bacon -Avocado Burger and both were very good, everyone enjoyed the Mac n cheese that I reluctantly shared with them. Also, the onion rings were some of the best I've ever had. Everyone loved their food, Cheese steaks, meatloaf sandwiches and Seafood melt were all very good. Good beer and drink selection as well. The staff then gave us an order of beignets which just made the experience better. I highly recommend!”

All in all my husband and I had a great lunch and service!!! And the hostess Saniah was so awesome when we came in she greeted us with a smile and was so friendly andkind !!! To top it off the manager Andi came to our table and listened to our feedback and was so pleased with her employees and she we were happy with her as well… all in all !!! Fantastic job everyone!!!”
“It was a really breezy, wet, and cold day, but the winery was beautiful, and the colors were highly and wonderfully contrasted out in the fields, mountains, and meadows below. The heat lamps were on, the service was quick, and the food was delicious! It was a wonderful time and place to enjoy many many old friends at one of their birthday parties!”

“I came across this place by accident while on the way back from a work meeting. It's in the heart of the industrial park area in Scripps Poway and it looks a little commercial from the outside. The inside, however, is nicely decorated and clean with two levels of seating. You order at the cashier and the food is brought to your table. I had the Southern Fried chicken sandwich with a jalapeño slaw, a hazelnut mocha cream puff, and a cup of the green tea. The star was definitely the chicken sandwich. It was perfectly crispy and moist inside. The jalapeños in the slaw were mild and not overwhelmingly spicy, and the fries were crispy and not soggy. The hazelnut cream puff was good but there wasn't much of a hazelnut flavor. If it didn't have hazelnut in the description, I would've just thought it was a good mocha cream puff. I will definitely be coming back to try other things on the menu and more of the pastries in the display case.”
“So, so good! Went to the bar to order and got stuck trying to pick from all the delicious options. Ended up with The Great Deceiver (TGD), South of Heaven (SoH), and a sharable Starch Nemesis. TGD was a vegan burger from beans that my wife loved. We were both happy that it wasn't a vegan burger trying to be a regular burger. It was crunchy and super tasty. The SoH was everything promised spicy, bacon, burger goodness straight to the face! The fries were crunchy, crispy, and oh so satisfying. Can't wait to go back and try other burgers and the sandwiches.”

“We've stopped in here a few times now as a mid week hang out spot. Good alcoholic and non alcoholic kombucha options. Lots of little stashed away spots to sit, a neat ambiance. A little fun, a little cheesy, definitely commits to the theme. Personally we avoid live music nights, it's kind of all you can hear since the place is one big hallway. Cool place to add to the limited rotation of options on Grand.”

Right when you walk in you see the smiling employees and you can tell this is a family establishment. The hot pastrami was one of the best I’ve ever had. “This is my third time eating here though I've gotten take out a few other times.They treated us really well tonight when I came to celebrate my mom's 90th birthday. She really likes fish tacos!The service was slow but they were so nice and super friendly so I still give them a four.The food was fantastic. I tried some new things including a Marlin taco which had a really savory soak of spices and the Fortuna Dorado Taco which is shrimp in a deep fried crispy taco shell. I'm not normally a giant shrimp fan but it was really good. I also got their side salad which was huge and high quality! Quite a bargain!The whole crew came out to sing happy birthday to my mom who was delighted and they brought her an amazing and huge piece of a really unique cake that was chocolate with a layer of flan on top. We all shared and it was great!Vegetarian options: They have some vegetarian options like the avocado taco and both a veggie burrito and taco. Also some salads.”

The place is casual and cozy, and has a small business feel.We ordered a small Cesar salad which is perfect small portion for 2. They offered us to try their soup, which I am sure it was Minestrone - it was good, really comforting flavor. We also order the 16" Jon and Joes (Joes and Jon?) pizza, it was extremely delicious and fresh. The ratio of sauce, to cheese, to toppings and crust was perfect. Our crust was crisp on the edges, while maintaining a fluffiness. This size was large enough for us to take half home. I am open in trying their other pizzas and pasta dishes when we get the chance!They were also sweet in offering us ice cream at the end of our meal! My first time trying Spumoni flavored ice cream. ?”

I ordered the Seaside, my husband ordered the ahi tuna and my kids ordered from the kids menu, all of which were delicious. There was a good amount of seafood in the Seaside and definitely enough for left overs. Our original reservations were for outside, but due to the rain the server called and said they’re moving our reservations inside which was perfect.The servers were so attentive and friendly. The servers even sign a birthday card which is very thoughtful. Vintana never disappoints which is why we will dine again there soon.”

My boyfriend and I each got mead drinks (his was something red and margarita esque; mine was blue). Then we got to sit down and mess around with the massive selection of games, encouraged by the friendly bartender. It was just such a chill spot to unwind and be present with each other. After finishing our drinks, we got to wander the gallery and see a wide variety of art, some to our taste, some not but all worth enjoying.”

Most of the salad items were pickled vegetables or grilled, not bad, but not what I was expecting. The Naan was plain, and they wouldn't let me add anything on it (they could have kept it)”
“This place looks like a hole in the wall, which it literally is, but was absolutely delicious. We ordered two chicken plates, which came with freshly grilled chicken, sautéed together with onions, squash, and garlic. It was served over a giant bed of rice, and came with a side of pita bread. I also swapped the Taziki with hummus, and this was some true, homemade hummus. It was enough for me to eat lunch, that day and midnight snack the next. We will be back.”

The banh mi are great, but in my opinion the real stars are the steamed dumplings (banh bot loc).Everything we tried was made with care, skill, and high quality ingredients. Just wish they were located closer to us, but I'll make a point to visit whenever I'm in Escondido.”

Service was good, it was pretty busy when I came so you might have to wait a bit, but even then they were quick with the tacos.”

I can confidently say that this is the best catfish I've ever eaten. As for their smoothies, one taste of their O- Mega Green and I was hooked. It's made of avocado, (I think) kiwi and other delicious greens. We enjoy it so much it's become one of our weekly treats when we want something a little special. The prices are so affordable they won't break the bank AND the portion sizes are large and satisfying. The sandwich shop is a classic hole in the wall with various unrelated Knick knacks and children's toys, candies and sundry goods for sale along the walls. It's run by the nicest and most gracious family-style staff.”

Shirmp Tempura, the des madre hand roll (secret menu item), the mamason roll (secret menu item), and Adam Ali roll. Each roll explodes with flavor and the freshness of the fish is very apparent. Just know that the portions here are insane and the value is great because of it. Service is also amazing here. I have never had any issues with servers or with my orders. Very friendly staff and definitely a place I will be going to weekly. Also leave some room for dessert, because the banana foster is fire and is enough to share with three or four people.”

I had the Southern Fried chicken sandwich with a jalapeño slaw, a hazelnut mocha cream puff, and a cup of the green tea. The star was definitely the chicken sandwich. It was perfectly crispy and moist inside. The jalapeños in the slaw were mild and not overwhelmingly spicy, and the fries were crispy and not soggy. The hazelnut cream puff was good but there wasn't much of a hazelnut flavor. If it didn't have hazelnut in the description, I would've just thought it was a good mocha cream puff. I will definitely be coming back to try other things on the menu and more of the pastries in the display case.”

“Excellent food, especially if you’re looking for some authentic Indian-inspired cuisine! We had the chettinad chicken pizza and it was really delicious; reminded me of pizzas that you would get in india. The day we visited, they also had a dosa stand and it was as authentic as it gets!”

“I love a Cubano, and there isn't anywhere else nearby to get one, so when I saw this place opened up, I had to stop by and try theirs. My goodness, it greatly exceeded my expectations. The roasted pork was so flavorful and juicy, this might be the best Cubano I've ever had. My only regret is that I didn't get a side of fried plantains. I'll definitely be back soon.”
