“We've stopped in here a few times now as a mid week hang out spot. Good alcoholic and non alcoholic kombucha options. Lots of little stashed away spots to sit, a neat ambiance. A little fun, a little cheesy, definitely commits to the theme. Personally we avoid live music nights, it's kind of all you can hear since the place is one big hallway. Cool place to add to the limited rotation of options on Grand.“
“Awesome small independent brewery in Escondido CA. It's definitely an unpretentious location that I love. I consider myself a IPA enthusiast and the Backyard Brewery's West coast IPA is one of my all time favorites. The owner, brewmaster is the bartender and is super friendly and can explain the ingredients of every beer on tap. They also have a store on site that supplies home brewing equipment.I live in Cleveland OH and spend a lot of time in North County. This was a great find and I'll definitely be visiting again soon.“
“This place has grown so much! I remember when it first opened and getting off the ground. Now. you drive by and it's packed. There is a different food truck there almost everyday. They stick to making great beer and allow the food trucks to deliver great food. Customer service is great! Dog friendly as the feed store is right next door. Love the pilsner!“
“Went on a Saturday night while they were doing an Oktoberfest theme with live music. BIG location. Lots of parking, plenty of space inside. Great beer selection with a lot of variety and a couple seltzer options (including non/alcoholic). I tried a flight of IPA's and enjoyed the variety they serve. We ate beforehand but we were told they were serving Oktoberfest-themed food that night. Friendly service over the phone and in-person by the bartender. The live band was playing the usual rock covers but did a great job and the sound quality in the room was professional. The owner also held a beer stein holding competition that was very fun to watch haha.“
“Our waitress Diana was exceptionally helpful and professional and listened to our orders specifically to my allergies food issues!!! Food was great ! She was excellent!! All in all my husband and I had a great lunch and service!!! And the hostess Saniah was so awesome when we came in she greeted us with a smile and was so friendly andkind !!! To top it off the manager Andi came to our table and listened to our feedback and was so pleased with her employees and she we were happy with her as well… all in all !!! Fantastic job everyone!!!“
“All the great things you have heard about this place are correct! We didn't have a rez so had a bit of a wait so we went to get drinks at the bar with a very friendly and knowledgeable bartender. At the table our server knew exactly how direct us on the menu and we were very pleased with all our selections. There is something for everyone!Also ask the server for the story about the music in the men's room! We didn't have the same type of music in the ladies room.“

“Cool off-the-beaten-path place (Melrose and Diamond St in San Marcos) with fantastic micro-brews. Frank (owner) is a meister at brewing and it shows - creative and classic flavors abound. The porters, malts and IPAs all deserve a try - and don't miss the hazy and the tripel!! He even does "spa water (seltzer) which is fantastic. Beer tenders are friendly and helpful and well informed - check the calendar on the website for weekly food vendors and activities - lots of walk and bike groups meet here during the week for exercise and libations afterwards!“

“What can I say an about BattleMage. This place is for nerds, by Nerds. From life size DrizztD’urden overlooking the bar, to the many D&D deceased character sheet adorning their walls. This place rocks. Not only do the Beers have with names like Perception Czech and White Wolf IPA, but the brews are darn good. The white wolf in particular is an incredibly flavorful beer in all the right ways. Staff here is friendly. They sell small snacks like chocolate bars and bags of popcorn, but food is BYO for the most part. There’s seating for about 15-17 people in there. Wish they had a bigger space, but maybe in the future. My D&D group met up there for a game this past weekend and it was great. Reserve a table if you can because seating is scarce. Even the bathroom has nerdy accoutrements. They have a vip club you can join and get invited to events throughout the year as well. I’ll be back for sure BattleMage“
“Finally got to visit this place. Knew of it and how great their beer was from Chris as we are in the same Queso Diego cheese club. Had an amazing stop on St. Patty's day. Lots of tasty beer and seltzers Edgar took very good care of us and was such character to chat with! Thanks for making our visit over the top amazing. I highly enjoyed the huckleberry seltzer and even got a crowler to go.“
“Our first time visiting this place. We went last Saturday night to watch the “Horseshoe Lucky Band”. This place was spacious and had several breweries offering a variety of drinks at reasonable prices, an urban winery, and burger joint. Enjoyed listening and dancing to country music.“
“We love the Oceanside brewery and now we love Pub980 in Vista. Their beer is always spot on, whatever you get. But this food was worth coming back for too. Good onion rings and the classic cheese was pretty tasty too. Also, we sat at bar and all the bartenders were all fantastic and nice. I felt like a regular and was our 1st time. “I was apprehensive about trying this place, I thought it was just all Mexican beer. However you do not need to put any kind of citrus in this beer to make it taste good. It's actually good beer. The interior vibe is very nice and I thoroughly enjoy the most wanted IPA. I'm a fan. I'll be here a couple times a week at least.“
“Great space, has a pool table, foosball, and a couple of arcade games. Outside has plenty of heaters and a couple of bonfire pit areas to sit around. Booch is good, non alcoholic option was good, and pizza was good. A little pricey at $9 a glass and $26 per whole pizza.“
“On my meadery tour, I was able to find this gem. Live music, mead and cider was such a win! I love the way their flights come with the numbers hanging by the glass that go along with the mead you choose, nice small touches that matter! A cool place to check out for sure.“

“OMG, the beer here is fantastic. It's different, fruity, almost like a juice bar, with a kick. I tried the 'Green Jello Smoothie Ale'. Totally delicious. One is not enough. I am prefer a blonde or stout ale and stay away from the fruity beers, but wow, this one was good. The service is very good, the server was more than happy to tell us about their beers. The place was much like you would expect at a place that was in its infancy, bare bones but not too bad. I have been to worse. It was wrestling night and there was a ring outside & some amateur wrestlers, fun stuff. When friends come into town, I'll take them there.“
