“Seemed like an excellent local watering hole!!!“
“Went with a group of friends for an evening out and did the wine pairing to maximize the experience. The service was great, the wine pairing wines were well selected, but a few of the dishes missed the mark. Struggled between giving a 3 or a 4 rating because of the mixed dish experience but know restaurants live or die by these reviews so erring on rounding up to a 4.
Nectarine bruschetta: 3/5 delightful and fresh start but the toast was a little burnt and very crunchy.
Beef carpaccio: 4/5 well seasoned and delicious but found the bell pepper curd a little strong and overwhelmed the palette.
Poached Sea Oof this one was a struggle. I really wanted to like it but found this to be a huge let down. Sea Bream is a delicate and delicious fish but didn't find much flavor in the fish, sauce, or vegetable accoutrements. My fish filet also had many bones which really hurt the experience. The whole table was not a fan. Giving a 2 because it was beautifully cooked but missing flavors and textures (other than the bones).
Chicken best dish of the night. A few of the mushroom bites were a little tough but cleaned my plate and found everything else delicious
Cherry tiramisu: 4/5 cherries to tiramisu ratio was good and gave a rich bite but wasn't anything groundbreaking.
Ultimately, I did not leave hungry (which has been my experience with a few tasting menus in the past) but wasn't wowed. Maybe when the menu changes I'll have a change of heart but probably is not a repeat experience“

“My dad and I don’t drink, but we come here every week to shoot pool. They’ve got a good selection of pool cues, plenty of chalk, and two tables. We’ve never had to wait for a game.
The pool tables are only $0.75 a game, the nonalcoholic drinks are inexpensive, and refills are free. The staff always remembers our order: a Diet Coke and a Shirley Temple with extra cherries. They never skimp on the cherries, either. One time they even gave my dad a free T-shirt.
They always have good music playing too. Lots of old stuff“

“Justin was a wonderful host! We had a tour and explanation of all the products they produce. We were visiting from PA, our friend from Vista became a member. Highly recommend this establishment for the atmosphere as well as the libations.“

“Great food, great service — we were window shopping for restaurants and came across this place, walked in and unsure of how we were feeling and our bartender gave us free drinks and the night turned around. And the food was jam good. Homemade pasta. Great prices. Great people.“

“We came upon Firangi while in the Arts District in Escondido and it was AMAZING!
We were greeted to a friendly hello and smile by Kristina when we first entered the restaurant. We chose a table at the window and Kristina offered us menus and water and gave us time to make our selections and answer our questions.
When the chef brought our food to the table we were surprised at the large quantity and every bite was delicious! We can’t wait to go back to Firangi with the rest of our family.“
