“Ordered food for pick up; arrived when they said it would be ready but had to wait an additional 30 minutes. That being said, the atmosphere there was amazing: the music, the pictures, and the vibe were upeat and friendly. The staff were friendly and helpful.I ook forward to a chance to eat in here.”
“Frequent patron, first time for brunch. Crab cakes benedict was tasty as was the cocktail. We sat indoors so were not able to hear the music since they were performing on the patio. The music was caribbean rather than Jazz, but no big deal. Prices were higher than many of the other breakfast spots I go to so this will not be a regular place for me, just for special occasions or out of town guests.”
“Amazing food, service and atmosphere! The Sushi was the best we've ever had! So incredibly fresh and delicious. Very attentive service (Sean and his team rock!), fun vibe, stunning view and we even got to see a beautiful wedding. We will definitely go back.”
“The interior design of Torsap Thai Kitchen is modern, clean with a Thai flavor . The service is efficient, welcoming and accommodating. And the food was artistically presented, generously portioned, full of flavor and reasonably priced. I had the lunch Pad Thai with chicken and my friend had the Yellow Curry with chicken. Yum!”
“Great little pub in the heart of Carlsbad village. Amberly was the bartender when I was in, very friendly and personable. Seemed she had a decent crowd of regulars at the end of the bar so that was nice to see. FYI... it's the cleanest mirror behind the bar I've ever seen. I thought the bar was twice as big from what I remember. LOL I'll be back for sure.... Peace FrankieG”
“We had the nachos which we're very good. Lots of toppings and fresh. Chicken was a little dry though. The chips are fresh and salsa is delicious. We also had the chicken soup which was light with a clear broth. I recommend all of the above. Nice indoor outdoor window bar too. A quieter atmosphere than on the main drag which I preferred.”
“The ambience was great. Dog friendly environment. Definitely a unique and welcoming setup! The breakfast burrito I ordered tasted like the burritos I can make at home. But it was tasty. I liked that the bacon didn’t have much fat on it. And was finely chopped.Apparently I misunderstood the menu and the waitress because I thought the burrito came with jalapeños and chives. So on their menu, the description of one dish is in the same grouped section of the price for a different dish. For some this may be easy to understand. For me, I guess it wasn’t.I enjoyed our waitress’s attitude towards us and our pet dog little Lola very much. She sat with her, treated her with love and asked if she could offer her bacon with whip cream. Lola was delighted! My friend ordered the Breakfast Tots and rated it a 4.”
“It's a cute little addition to the Bressi neighborhood. Free warm chips and entrees ranging from$14 to $18. Although, watch your teeth on the chips. They are unexpectedly thick and hard/crunchy. The biggest complaint is that it's not relaxing to dine here. The acoustics are terrible because of all of the concrete surrounding you from the floors to the ceiling. Everyone is shouting to hear each other over all of the other guests in the restaurant including the screaming kids. Perhaps it's more civil on the patio? Seating and service was swift. Ask for the jalapeno pineapple margarita, it's got a nice kick.By the way, they charge that stupid 3% surcharge. I still don't get why we have to tip 20 to 30% when a restaurant is not only paying their servers $15 an hour but now charging us an additional 3% of all checks.”
“This place was pretty good. Everyone in my group loved their food. I just got a salad (which I definitely regret, go for a burrito or street tacos even it means spending a little more) but the ingredients tasted fresh and authentic and the chicken was delicious! I liked how they had a variety of options on their menu. It was a little crammed, not many seating areas. The music was pretty loud and I felt like I couldn’t hear the people in my group talking very well. Overall our food came out quick though.”
“My husband and I enjoyed celebrating our anniversary with a wonderful dinner at Ponto Lago. The service was warm and friendly and the food was delicious. We had the grilled octopus and arepa to start. My husband had bacon wrapped filet mignon and I had the seafood paella for our main courses. We shared the churros for dessert. All was incredibly delicious! We had original reservations at Ember and Rye, but those were canceled due to their kitchen fire. My husband was going to surprise me with their steak cake, but assumed that wouldn't happen due to the restaurant's closure. But Ponto Lago still made it happen! We loved it here and look forward to dining here again!”
