The food is incredibly fresh and seriously delicious. My husband and I had a late breakfast but wanted something light and healthy in the afternoon, so we ordered a Greek salad and boneless chicken and wow.

Everything was clearly made fresh to order. The feta was amazing, the veggies were perfectly crisp, and both the tzatziki and dressing tasted house-made (and so good).

But the chicken?? Unreal. So tender, so juicy easily the star of the meal.

And of course, we had to share a baklava and it did not disappoint. Perfectly flaky, soft and chewy in the center, and just the right amount of sweetness.

You can genuinely taste the care and effort that goes into the food here. Please go support this place you won’t regret it.”

The Nutty Dang Smoothie was just as impressive but in a totally different vibe. Super refreshing, with a great balance of nutty richness and light sweetness. It tasted clean, energizing, and satisfying without being too heavy. Perfect for a quick pick-me-up or post-workout treat.

Honestly, both drinks were creative, well-balanced, and memorable. You can tell there’s real thought put into the flavors. Highly recommend trying both if you get the chance!”

“Lur Ros Thai Kitchen is hands down one of the best Thai restaurants in Vista! The food is incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish tastes authentic and made with love — you can really tell they care about quality and tradition.

The Pad Thai was perfectly balanced, the curries were rich and aromatic, and the Thai tea was amazing. The spice level was just right and customizable to your preference.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are friendly, attentive, and make you feel like family. It’s the perfect spot for a casual dinner, date night, or family meal.

“Shaks came recommended to us by our wedding photographer. Upon finding out they were Armenian Lebanese (same as my family!), we knew we would book with them. As we lived out of the country, our parents went to the menu tasting and had the time of their lives. They came back raving about the place and said we have to book. Totally didn't understand the assignment of narrowing down the menu items we should have on the big day, lol. but that's a testament to how good the food is (especially the fresh falafel). Andrew was so helpful on calls, as he is very busy and emails weren't the best method of communication, and answered all of our questions, worked within our parameters and with a ton of integrity. The team was a delight on the day of and worked their tails off in the kitchen with a smile and in front of the guests. The food was a hit with the guest and I am still thinking about the garlic that I'm sure I smelled like on the wedding night because I just couldn't get enough, lol. The leftovers were awesome to have and to share with guests, too. We will be visiting Shak's when we're in the area as a nostalgia trip!!”

“This was my first experience with Korean Fried chicken. Oh my goodness! I had it delivered to the hotel I was staying at and it arrived piping hit, fresh and so delicious. I started with the Golden Wings and they far exceeded my expectations. Just a slight heat kick which was just enough for a first try. I can't wait to try other flavors. The only thing that was missing in the atmosphere was music. I feel like they should lean into that and maybe have a 90s playlist to add to the vibe. My Reuben was perfect-a classic diner sandwich very tasty and so were the fries. The service was friendly and efficient. Ample seating, a perfect little area out front (curbside) counter seating and more tables inside. I bet this place is a local favorite. I’ll def go back!”

There was a young aged asian girl who attended us . She was not very friendly from start to finish. She answered questions with an attitude, never smiled . Overall it was some of the most unfriendly awkward service I've ever experienced, just a bummer my parents had to experience it too on their first visit .pizza was still great though

Our server was great - turned us on to a delicious wine from Sicily which was surprisingly reasonably priced. I had the Salmon alla checca. Wow was this delicious! The Salmon was cooked perfectly and the pasta had a fresh tomato, garlic, basil topping, light on the oil. This was a perfect dish. Prior to the pasta we started with a salad and bread - The salad was fresh, crisp, flavorful with a yummy light dressing and the bread was served with real butter, not whipped or altered just real butter - delicious.
Service was impeccable and the food outstanding. We are new regulars!”

“I’m so glad I stumbled on this little Mexican spot! First good meal I’ve had in a while. 🥰 Super welcoming people and the food was very flavorful— the chicken burrito was delicious. Love the relaxed, family-run vibe, with the cook singing in the kitchen and everyone seeming happy. 😊 Including the little adorable kid hanging out with his grandma and making goofy faces with me. Very kind and hospitable server girl and comfy seating. A place that makes you feel at home. 💕”

“Burgeon at the Grove has quickly become our spot. The beer selection is fantastic. My favorite is the Amber Ale. Service is consistently friendly and very welcoming, and on a super hot day, they have very strong A/C!
On our latest visit, we sat near the community board games and puzzles (these are a huge plus!). We got to spend some good quality time together (screen free!). We had such a great time sampling all the different beers while we doing puzzles together, kids coloring, and board games. It’s rare to find a place that balances top-notch craft beer with such a welcoming, family-friendly vibe. We all really enjoyed ourselves!

“Super cute spot with lots of variety!! I had the churro cup, hot cheeto esquite, and sprite preparada. All was super yummy and i really appreciate them including a special long spoon for the churro cup :). Would recommend and will be coming back to try other menu items 🩷”
