“My young daughters and I went into Big Jim's for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It was a beautiful day for sitting out back on their shaded and very clean patio. The atmosphere was very nice upon entering and we loved the patio, but decided to move inside so they could look at the gorgeous butterfly photos on the wall. We ordered a kids quesadilla that ended up being big enough to share, but was so tasty, they didn't want to! It came with homemade potato chips that were the best I've ever had! I ordered a chef salad and it was HUGE! It was like a work of art! I had to take pictures of it next to my daughter, so you can see how big it is! I was so happy with the size of it, because every ingredient was so fresh and delicious, I was super excited to have enough left to share AND have leftovers. I would definitely recommend getting the whole salad for yourself so you can do this too! No sharing, no "half salad", just do a whole so you get seconds, because it's that good, you'll want it for yourself. Haha! I also ordered a side of fries after putting in my initial order, and they came out fast, HOT, perfectly seasoned and slightly crispy. PERFECT. Fries are a huge thing for me at a restaurant, and they passed that test!Big Jim came out to ask how things were, and he was very kind and pleasant to talk to. His wife Jill was working as well, and she was also a sweetheart and very attentive and thoughtful. The restrooms, restaurant, and patio were SPOTLESS. They also had coloring books and crayons for my kids and were so gracious about how messy and loud they ended up getting (?). We even met another family while there and became friends!Thank you, Jim and Jill, for welcoming us to your place! We will definitely be regulars now, and I've already been telling my friends! I literally can't wait to go back and try more of their delicious menu!“

The shop had newly equipped stations that would close, keeping everything fresh and dynamite service. Also, they were fully stocked. The manager was super friendly! “Do not rely on the sandwich artist to READ the details of your or order even if you type instructions manually in ALL CAPS. There is hardly any distinction between light and regular amounts of toppings. My best subway experiences have been outside of the app. Also, the app will tell you the sub is ready but when you arrive at the restaurant you will either have to wait in line or it hasn’t even been started yet unless there are no other orders or customers being helped. Subway, have your people measure out the amounts for toppings instead of leaving it up to them. There is absolutely NO consistency from restaurant to restaurant. From now on I’ll just stand at the counter and have them make it to order just like old times. Ordering in advance is useless.“

“Jersey Mikes has always been one of my favorite sandwich spots because of the best item on their menu, the Mikes Way Club Sub with everything on it! It’s been my go-to meal for years, and at one point on a weekly basis. The Giant portion size, Tuesday rewards program, and high quality sandwich they produce as a whole were all reasons which kept me coming back. As of recently, I’ve been getting their California Club Sub which is the same thing, but also features avocado. This past week I was humbled a bit, I didn’t particularly enjoy noticing the low quality turkey breast used on a California Club Sub I ate. It was very bland and lacked flavor. I honestly think that the turkey breast has always been somewhat bland and that I simply overlooked this truth because I was enjoying the salt & vinegar so much that I didn’t take the time and give any attention to the turkey. I may need to branch out and try the rest of their menu for a while until they can bring the turkey breast quality into fruition. The service gets no infractions and is consistently quality, they’re professionally casual. The dining experience is quite a standard one, there’s nothing to write home about, but again its goal is to be casual so just be sure you’re aware that this isn’t a typical sit down place, but rather a fast food styled atmosphere.
