“I love this place, amazing service, great food.
Though I have to point out that their tipping system is highly sketch - it's one thing that the default tip amounts start at 20%, to each their own but if you're there during happy hour, the terminal will still calculate your tipping amounts based on the full price total instead of the happy hour one. Now I'm not stingy when it comes to tipping, but I also really dislike misdirection.“

“My favorite sports bar to meet friends! And my puppy is welcome in the outside dining area. Oggi's has an extensive casual menu of fresh salads, specialty pizzas, burgers and gluten-free, healthy options that pair perfectly with craft beer and cocktails. The garlic knots bread appetizer is so YUM! Definitely order the larger portion size. I like the option of ordering Half or Full portion size for most dishes. Service was friendly and attentive. Recommend!“

“A must-visit restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, the service was great, and although the restaurant is small, it is definitely worth the visit. If you’re dining with a larger group, I highly recommend ordering a variety of dishes and sharing so everyone can sample a little bit of everything. There were so many dishes I didn’t even get a chance to photograph because we ate them before I remembered to take pictures! The presentation was beautiful, and everything we tried was full of flavor. Definitely a place I would recommend and visit again. (Parking on the street)“

“We’re visiting Carlsbad and didn’t have dinner reservations, so after walking around the Village we decided to try our luck at the bar. We were told about 30 minutes for a table, or we could wait for seats at the bar. We chose the bar, met a nice couple while waiting, and had seats open up in about 15 minutes.

Really impressive place from the minute you walk in. The building, architecture, lighting and attention to detail are all extremely well done. Great atmosphere without trying too hard.

Josh took care of us at the bar and was outstanding. Made us cocktails right away, walked us through the menu and gave honest, down-to-earth recommendations. We couldn’t decide, so we sampled a few things. The deviled eggs were a standout, and the ribeye dip and fried chicken were both excellent.

What really made it was the combination of the atmosphere, food and service. Everything was on point without feeling overly formal or stuffy.

We’re from out of town, so unfortunately this probably won’t become a regular stop for us, but it’s one we’ll remember. Definitely left wishing we had more places like this back home. Exactly our kind of place.“

“The food is as good as it looks! I couldn’t believe it when my parents asked me if I wanted to go to a Revolutionary War tavern replica & museum near the beach in northern San Diego. Like, huh? But the building reminded me of growing up on the east coast, and the museum reminded me of how lucky we are to have this country & those who fought for it. I loved the cozy interior with brick and wood. My parents are regulars, so they know the server, and he was super nice. They have a great Old Fashioned, and we all got the Seafood Trio (mine with double cod). The fingerling potatoes were to die for. It was all delicious. Amazing Caesar salad, too. Definitely had leftovers. Excited to go back for their happy hour. Can’t wait to try wagyu sliders, mussels, and clam chowder. Seriously, it all sounds good. Definitely worth a trip! And you’ll be back to try it all 😁“

“My husband and I recently visited Tower 39 on Friday night for some drinks and appetizers, and we had such a great experience! The staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming from the moment we arrived.

Nami was especially wonderful! He checked in on us throughout the evening, was very helpful, and was great to communicate with. He really helped make our experience enjoyable.

We also had nothing but compliments for the food and drinks—they were both excellent! Overall, we had a fantastic time and will definitely be back. Highly recommend Tower 39 for a great atmosphere, delicious food and drinks, and excellent service!“

During my visit, Laura was friendly, patient, and genuinely trying to provide great service, yet this individual was rude, disrespectful, and seemed impossible to satisfy. No matter how kind or accommodating the employees were, nothing appeared to be good enough. Laura handled the situation professionally and with much more patience than many people would have. It's a reminder that while most customers are appreciative, there are a few who seem intent on spreading negativity. Thankfully, one difficult person doesn't reflect the quality of the restaurant or the dedication of the people who work there.“

“The service was excellent, very prompt and friendly, with our waiter going out of his way to make sure my wife had the sides the way she wanted them. Beautiful views of the golf course, and a nice fireplace set the ambience. Main drawbacks were the music could have been a bit quieter, as we chose the restaurant with the goal to have some peace and quite, and the drinks were very expensive at over $20 each for the cocktails. The cocktails were delicious, just expensive.“

We had already had 2 horrible experiences at other places in the area so our expectations were that the food in the area just isn’t great. Enter Compadres. I called and got a voicemail so I’m guessing they don’t take phone orders. I can overlook that. I drove down and ordered a 3 piece meal for both of us and it could be the best chicken I have ever tasted. Rice and beans were hot and delicious and the tortillas (both corn and flour) were hot and authentic Mexican. The hot sauces were all amazing and the place was busy, clean and friendly. Do yourself a favor and stop in the next time you are in the area. You will not regret it.“
