The food is as good as it looks! I couldn’t believe it when my parents asked me if I wanted to go to a Revolutionary War tavern replica & museum near the beach in northern San Diego. Like, huh? But the building reminded me of growing up on the east coast, and the museum reminded me of how lucky we are to have this country & those who fought for it. I almost ordered the crispy chicken sandwich. That would have been a terrible mistake.
I went with the Connecticut lobster roll instead, and it was seriously one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Huge chunks of lobster, warm toasted roll, and drawn butter on the side—which I proceeded to pour over the whole thing because apparently moderation wasn’t on the menu tonight.
