Had a wonderful lunch. Our server was fantastic. I enjoyed the historic atmosphere. I'd be happy to eat here again. There were a number of dishes I would like to try.

The staff greeted us immediately, seated us, and brought water to the table. Our appetizers CHOWDAH FRIES and Crispy Cauliflower arrived quickly -- as did our drinks. The fries were like New England poutine and surprisingly still crispy with the toppings. The cauliflower was spicy, tangy, but not too crispy, yet we liked it. The drinks were spot on. Two of us got Connecticut Lobster Rolls, one got Maine Lobster Roll, and the other got CLASSIC BEEF BOURGUIGNON. Each dish was perfectly prepared and presented. It is somewhere we will go again.

Food was great. It is great to a point that even my elder Asian mom who hates American food said that it is good . Atmosphere is also decent . The museum ....... I would call that exhibition rather than museum but that is borderline playing on words so meh . Servers are also welcoming. This is a must try at least one restaurant in Carlsbad

We had dinner here on Easter, 2024. The food was AMAZING, our waiter, Donovan, was FANTASTIC and the museum itself was just mesmerizing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND you come here for the incredible food and then take a tour around the museum. This will definitely be a place we bring friends and family from out of town to experience.

Had no clue that this wonderful place was in San Diego. Food portion is large. So be prepared to eat delicious appetizers, entrees, and dessert. Recommend the ahi poke, Shepard's pie, and lava cake. Coffee was good w the lava cake. There is a bar and large tv to watch sports. A small museum is in the same space. Kids had a wonderful time eating and also reading a few cool things about US history at the exhibits. Staff is a plus. Very patient and sincere. I would definitely go here again. Great restaurant to bring out of town guests or to visit if in Carlsbad. I think there are also large rooms for accommodating company meetings for small- to medium-sized groups.

Gimmick. They lure you in with the museum and history, then you're stuck. Don't get stuck. The service was slow before we sat down. We had reservations at 6, and when we arrived at 5:50 we were told it would only be a few minutes. 20 minutes later, they were putting our table together for our party of eight. Once we were seated we waited about another 10 minutes just to put in a drink order, which included water. When the waiter returned with only our water, we had to pass them down the table ourselves. Not that big of deal, but it doesn't get better. We practically had to yell out our orders as the waiter would only stand at the far end of the table. My wife swears her Sheppard's pie was fantastic which was the bright spot of the night. My boys both had pizza which tasted like it was frozen and came out of the microwave. I had fish and chips, which was more like bread and chips. The breading on the fish was very hard and thick, not good. Their version of tartar sauce was a watered down ranch with too much dill and pepper. Our meals came out at separate times. I'd say it was about 10 minutes from when the first meal arrived until the final meal came out. I will say the servings are huge so you're at least getting something for your money. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

What a wonderful hidden gem. We enjoyed everything - from the warm welcome as we entered, the delicious meals and excellent service, the very cozy interior design, and the super cool built-in museum which shed light on the importance of certain historical moments. My son ordered the crab stuffed shrimp and I had the seafood mixed grill trio. The fish was very moist and tender, the beurre blanc sauce insanely tasty and the mud pie was delightful. We will be back.

The food was great! I like to have the server surprise me instead of choosing food.

Went for an anniversary dinner & the food & service were great. Started by sharing Ceasar salad & clam chowder, had cedar plank salmon for entrees & finished with churro sundae & carrot cake. All of the food was perfect! Will definitely go back.

We were very happy to discover this restaurant on open table. We ordered the Brussels sprouts, beef sliders, celery and clam chowder soups. All the food was delicious especially the Brussels sprouts. We had a great server. The restaurant was not crowded at 2 pm so the noise level was low. Will definitely return.

This is the second time I was turned away with over a hour of them still being open apparently they don't want my money. It was 7 pm when I walked thew the door and they close at 8pm and they have over 30 open tables open.....ridiculous.

We had not been to the Green Dragon for quite awhile so we were looking forward to going back. We were there at 4:30 hoping it would be less crowded and quiet. My husband has difficulty hearing even with hearing aids so the noise level made it very difficult to hold a conversation. We definitely enjoyed the food and would return perhaps earlier in the day for lunch because of the noise during the dinner hour.

We waited quite awhile at the host stand with many servers and food runners constantly walking by us without any acknowledgment. Eventually a hostess showed up and rather indifferent just asked how many of us, slammed some menus down and very quickly walked to a table and put down the menus and walked off while the party caught up to her. We waited quite awhile for water and service. Service was rather indifferent and not at all engaging. Food came rather promptly, and while it wasn't spectacular it was fine. Very large portions for the price.
