“Iced banana latte and iced banana mocha with an extra shot. Their house made banana syrup has a delicious subtle banana flavor and is not too sweet! The straws are really nice and thick wooden straws that maintain their structure and shape.“

“We had a luncheon here after my husband’s funeral. We booked a banquet room for 75-100 people. Gwen was amazing! The room, the tables, service, bartender & the food, everything was perfect. We added a few pizzas when we got there & again, it was no problem. This was a really tuff day for our family and friends and Ciao’s team, especially Gwen, helped us to celebrate a beautiful man and a life well lived. Highly recommend for your special event.

“I’ve had a few things from veggy Jess and all of them have been incredible. I’m picky when it comes to vegan food. I’ve been vegan for six years and I’m pretty decent at cooking so I’m only impressed when someone clearly has better cooking skills than me and veggy Jess is one of them!! Seriously. The ingredients are fresh, the seasoning is perfect, you don’t have that thought that “something is missing” when you eat it, AND this person is so nice!! I need everyone to eat here and give them money so they’ll be around for a long time. This place is S tier.“

“Shaks came recommended to us by our wedding photographer. Upon finding out they were Armenian Lebanese (same as my family!), we knew we would book with them. As we lived out of the country, our parents went to the menu tasting and had the time of their lives. They came back raving about the place and said we have to book. Totally didn't understand the assignment of narrowing down the menu items we should have on the big day, lol. but that's a testament to how good the food is (especially the fresh falafel). Andrew was so helpful on calls, as he is very busy and emails weren't the best method of communication, and answered all of our questions, worked within our parameters and with a ton of integrity. The team was a delight on the day of and worked their tails off in the kitchen with a smile and in front of the guests. The food was a hit with the guest and I am still thinking about the garlic that I'm sure I smelled like on the wedding night because I just couldn't get enough, lol. The leftovers were awesome to have and to share with guests, too. We will be visiting Shak's when we're in the area as a nostalgia trip!!“

“Ordered DoorDash and the food came hot a hit my Thai food craving. Pad see ew noodles were cooked well, spicier than what my husband and I were expecting though but still very good. Husband had the pad Thai, it was a bit too sweet for our taste. Both ordered Thai teas, these were enormous. Entrees and drink both lasted two servings.“

“I was very surprised by this place and its food. The calamari was fried just perfect and the Greek Salad was wonderful which had just enough feta cheese unlike other places.

The manager on Friday was very welcoming to our group of 10 and very accommodating, he also personally took care of us. We sat outside on the picnic tables, the evening weather was just perfect and the music was jamming.

Our group will definitely be returning for another fun evening. 🍕🥗🍺“

“This Handel's location is so perfect, as my kids have frequented it after we've watched shows at the AVO, as well as when they were actual performers at the AVO. That being said, the line can get pretty long after a performance. However, the staff moved through customers quickly, and our latest cashier, Briana, was so kind. She made sure we felt important and apologized for the long line (even though it wasn't her fault). She was patient when my youngest still could not decide on a treat even after waiting for so long. She made the stress a mom could feel after the experience in a long line with young ones feel minimal with her empathetic care for us. Handel's is lucky to have her representing their business. And I would recommend coming to this Handel's whenever you come to downtown Vista and watch a show at the AVO.“

“I've come here a handful of times, since the other two locations near me closed. Their salsa bar is great and their fish tacos are still on point and unbeatable for the price and quality, especially on taco Tuesday. The people here have also always been very nice, which goes a long way with me.“

“The owner Louie is incredibly kind. He is not only attentive, but he is clearly passionate about making sure customers come in happy and leave satisfied. We had issues with coupons and he was more than helpful in making sure we were taken care of. When we had an issue, he reached out personally to fix the problem. The pizza itself was extremely delicious. We got 2 small pizzas and both were delicious. Crust is fluffy yet crispy, they were cheesy with just the right amount of sauce. Ranch on the side was a large portion and delicious. We came in hoping for a good experience and left having one better than expected. Thank you, Louie! Your pizza spot is a total gem.“

If you like spicy, you cannot pass on their hot and spicy soup. We have turned on several friends to that dish alone! We have also dabbled with most of their chicken and beef dishes; all have been fantastic! The owner, Lee, is an outstanding guy. Always amazing service with a smile. His staff always goes out of the way to make your dining experience memorable and pleasurable. They’ve made us feel like family from the beginning. The 4-tier wedding cake was stunning and exactly what my daughter envisioned. Laura also made a darling little birthday cake for my granddaughter (whose 1st birthday was the day of the wedding) - it was a perfect complement to the wedding cake.

The cakes themselves were beyond delicious. I lost count of how many of our guests said, “I never bother with wedding cake, but everyone keeps saying how good these cakes are, so I have to have a slice.” One friend had four slices of the strawberry cake alone!

“This little hole in the wall is a gem! I walked in and immediately saw signs of beautiful authenticity. If you are looking for white-washed, Americanized Indian food, then this may not be your jam. But if you want the real thing, please plan a visit to Bombay Cafe. We ordered the Tandoori Chicken and the Lamb Tikka Masala. Both dishes were fantastic. The presentation of the Tandoori was particularly impressive!

Don’t plan your visit here with fast food timing in mind; everything is made to order. In fact, you can watch your chef cook your food through a glass window! When you read the menu, understand that everything is separate; we ordered Basmati rice and garlic naan to go with our dishes!

Oggi's has an extensive casual menu of fresh salads, specialty pizzas, burgers and gluten-free, healthy options that pair perfectly with craft beer and cocktails. The garlic knots bread appetizer is so YUM! Definitely order the larger portion size. I like the option of ordering Half or Full portion size for most dishes. Service was friendly and attentive. We had an amazing experience at this family restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious—everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The customer service was outstanding; everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in. On top of that, the wait time was practically nonexistent, which made the experience even better. It's not often you find great food, excellent service, and fast seating all in one place. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal!“
