“We really liked this place because it was such a great value. A kid's meal was $4.99 and included a drink. We got the shrimp and chips for our three year old and they let us substitute beans for the fries. She ate every last bean and the shrimps (there were two of them) were crispy and massive. My husband and I loved our poke bowls. Massive portions, couldn't even finish them, for less than 15 bucks each. Fried calamari was generously sized and only 8 bucks. While I have had better poke and better calamari, it was still good and was the only place we ate in San Diego that we felt was a good value.“

“Salt and Lime is a modern Mexican restaurant located in Del Mar. The restaurant was busy and the music was a bit loud, but it definitely was an exciting environment to dine at. We ordered the steak & 3 tacos. The steak was seasoned very well and super tender. The 3 tacos were all good but I thought the birria was the best of all of them! Both my husband and I really enjoyed our meals. The service was great here & we'd definitely consider coming back in the future. Street parking.“

“Buonasera is great! They have tons of pizza ready to go by the slice that they'll heat up for you real quick. We went here after a walk on the beach and it was the move. I had the bacon chicken ranch which was delicious. The Antipasto salad was also super refreshing and yummy with the little mortadella and provolone rolls. My dad had the Pepperoni and Sausage and the Red Veggie which he said were also both delicious. They have a nice large outdoor seating area with a bar where you can watch the game. It's a nuce easy spot for some great pizza after a day at the beach.“

“Amazing food and excellent service! We came for a birthday celebration and truth enjoyed the food and service! For drinks, we got an IPA and “that’s amore” cocktail. The cocktail is on the”milkier” side, and I really liked it!For food, we started with the fried squash blossom staffed with goat cheese. It’s definitely the highlight of our meal - unexpectedly good! Highly recommended! For entrees, we ordered the burrata pizza and the bolognese pasta. Both were great, and I personally like the pizza more - very flavorful!Tao drinks, one appetizer, and two entrees came to be around $110, which is about the right price for a good restaurant in the area.Enoteca is my favorite in the area during our short visit of Del Mar. highly recommended!Parking: Many spots in the street mall.“

“Visiting Del Mar for a family event, we happened on the Broken Yolk cafe. It was Sunday at 11 am, seeing a small crowd waiting for a table boded well for a local favorite breakfast spot. The menu was extensive. We ordered eggs, Machaca and Heuvos Rancheros, both delish! My favorite part of the meal was the excellent service given by Geraldo. He was so welcoming and attentive, a giant thank you to him.“

It is located next to a quaint park where you can take a stroll.Parking: Recommend parking across the street or if you get lucky go ahead and Valet“

“Portions of the dishes are surprisingly small so I felt most of the plates are overpriced. Ambience and service were great, food was good. I would say the pricing and taste don't really match but I guess you are paying for the view/location. Seeing the sunset right in front of you was also great.“

“Liquid Bean might have the best coffee in Del Mar! Seriously, the ladies are sweet, the atmosphere inviting (hello outdoor coffee bar in a corporate center- only possible in San Diego), I love the water for dogs with a container off bones! Oh right, the coffee! Rich and full, medium dark without any bitterness. Great find for my oat milk latte!“

“Excellent dining experience! Enjoyed an authentic taste of Peru made even better by the warm service. Highly recommend the ceviche, yuquitas, quinoa salad (would add protein if ordering as main entree), and the Tempranillo. The chaufa was good, just a bit too much soy sauce for my taste. Look forward to coming back to try more dishes, including the lomo saltado. Cozy patio dining with heat lamps.“

“Trudy and Susie were wonderful! The food was delicious. My daughter had the Bushfire burger and I had the salmon bowl with roasted vegetables. Both were great! My daughter's wine tasted a little off, and they comped it, plus giving her another glass on the house! Such great service. We come here quite often and we will continue.“

“Tamarindo a MUST when you are visiting Del Mar! Outstanding views, food, cocktails, and SERVICE! We sat at the bar and were hosted by Kelsie and Michelle. These two young ladies were courteous, friendly and efficient! I have dined around San Diego for 20 years and what will always get me to return is good quality service. Thank you Kelsie and Michelle for making our first visit to Tamarindo so special! We will be back very soon.“
“Good vibes, great food awesome staff what more do you want in a brewery? Dogs that's what! This place is so dog friendly they even have dog bags, not to put the leftovers in... but to clean up after them lol. There is a trail right outside near the patio with a view of Delmar beautiful sunsets can be seen nightly. The food and beer is was delicious the people, staff as well were some of the friendliest around it made this place perfect for our large party we had a great time eating here and can't wait for next time.“

“You order & pay first from their small cafe then find a table in their outdoor seating area. The gentleman that helped us (possibly the owner or manager) was very nice and personable. The yogurt parfait is simple and delicious and comes in a big bowl with fresh fruit and housemade granola. I ordered the quiche but they forgot to put it in the oven so I had to take it to go cold since we didn't have time to wait for it. The gentleman was very apologetic and offered us a dessert item from their case of yummy looking desserts but I declined. Mistakes happen and the fact that he tried to make it right was all I needed and appreciated. The iced matcha latte was good. The Mayan Mocha was good if you like cinnamon and spices. We'd definitely come back when in the area.“

“We took our son and his family to West End to celebrate my birthday on Saturday. Christian and Alberto were a perfect team making for a very enjoyable brunch. The food was great (clam chowder, calamari, burger, salads, kids chicken meal, etc.) and the table by the estuary provided great views - especially for our 4 year old grandson. Although we couldn't enjoy a cocktail that day, we saw Christian serving up some great drinks - and we look forward to coming back soon. Thanks again for the hospitality and service - much appreciated.“

“Best sandwich shop around. This is the original one and its in the best location. Easy to take one to-go and bring it to the beach, or stay and have an ice cold brew while there. You must get their sauce if you go. In my opinion it what makes the sandwich SO incredibly good. I usually get the cold ones (turkado) but i have had the chicken sandwich as well which was great.“

“Came to Del Mar for a nice afternoon visit with the kids. Was worried about food being too upscale. Wanted a nice beer and tried WestBrew. What an excellent choice. I had the WestBrew burger with a side salad, and it was the best food I’ve had since being in California all week. Wife had the club and loved it. They have kids menus, crayons, and kids cups. Had the seal cove and was very surprised by its delicious taste. Great choice of IPAs. Super simple little spot and would def. Recommend to anyone who comes to Del Mar for a lunch spot.Kid-friendliness: Kid menu, crayons, kids cups“

“Even though it’s a pancake house, you can’t go wrong with the French Toast. I got the San Diego French Toast and it was top notch, loaded with lots of fruit as well. The only downside is it’s hard to locate from the street and parking in that retail place is a pain. The French toast is superb.“

“The Del Mar roll was the best sushi I have had in a long time and very filling! Ensui Sushi Bar and Grill stands up to their name. It is not the largest place, but it had 3 large TVs with March Madness on each one. I am so glad I found Ensui Sushi and will definitely be back!“

“We did not plan well for Valentine's Day and found that they had reservations available. I grabbed one and we were on our way. Got there and I guess they didn't accept reservations after noon so my reservation was not valid (rsvp through Yelp). But she made it work finding us 2 spots at the bar. Luckily because it was PACKED. Service was nice but slow as there were 2 ladies on Valentine's Day! But our sushi chef filled in and made sure our kitchen order got in. We had a basic crunchy roll... good but basic. A sashimi bowl that was good but small. A bomb crab cake! And an even better Poke Roll - so much so that we ordered another one. It is a cute trendy sushi place. Don't be discouraged because it's in a Vons shopping center. We didn't have to take a loan out for the bill. We will go back - maybe not on such a busy night.“

“We love Del Mar and this is our go to restaurant. You don't need reservations and they have a nice outdoor atmosphere. The service is very friendly. The food is good and well priced. I consider this restaurant a great alternative to the expensive Californian restaurants as well as the less expensive pizza and Mexican places in town. I also have taken business lunch meetings here as the lunch menu is very reasonable. Lots of parking around if you head down 11 or 12 Ave toward the water.“

“This place is an absolute gem. I came here with family for dinner on Friday and it was packed, we did get a table after a little wait but it was well worth it. The atmosphere is amazing and the food is up there. Ordered Fajitas, Quesadillas and Tacos, all really good and would recommend.“

“We came to this restaurant right when it opened in the evening, and we were barely able to get a table because it was fully booked. As we were dining, the restaurant really filled up, and eventually the wait time almost reached an hour. This restaurant clearly is very popular and it makes sense to make reservations in advance. The popularity is well-deserved though, since the food was very good, and we really enjoyed the time we spent here.“

“Forgot to use the $2 off check-in Yelp coupon! I hate when I only check in after I order and sit down and then see it. Anyway, this is a small location in a busy mall. A few tables inside snd a few tables outside. Food is good - got a Lounge burger with guac and salad with chicken. Burger Lounge is pretty consistent and probably my go-to burger place since it's healthier than In-N-Out.“

“Dinner for four on the upper deck. Each of us thoroughly enjoyed appetizers, our entrees and cocktails. The food was delicious and prepared quickly. The lettuce wraps were especially delicious and nicely portioned. Three is us got the Apple crisp for dessert. It was the only disappointment and that may just be a preference issue. All three of us much prefer larger apple slices in our crisp. This recipe used diced apples in pretty small pieces. This results in a bready bite without the kind of apple presence we like. Service was excellent.“

“We will definitely be returning. Our waitress was so helpful with selecting items off the menu. The food itself was delicious. Every item emerging from the kitchen was plated so well that it looked like a work of art and also inviting enough that I still wanted to dive right in. The desserts were phenomenal. Many of the menu items were made with honey, and there was also an option to take some home! It was a little loud and hard to hear the person I was dining with over the music, but not enough of an issue that we asked or have it turned down.“

“We came for a birthday celebration and truly enjoyed the experience! The happy hour (4-6pm PT) was fantastic! $7 for draft beer, house margarita, and 3-half-shell oysters were the best! We ordered 6 orders of oysters (18 in total), with 9 from the west coast, and 9 from the east coast. In mid-May, the west coast ones were A LOT fattier than the east coast ones. I personally like them more. Highly recommended! For dinner, our ordered the Brussels sprouts and octopus for starts, surf and turf plus the swordfish for entrees. All good! I would personally like the steak to be a bit more saltier; Brigantine kept the food on the lighter side - still delicious!Happy hour plus a full-on dinner cost $260. Not cheap, but given the high price level in SoCal, good food and excellent service, the price is about right.Parking: Parking is valet only. $8 fee and $2 tip.“

“Milton's in Del Mar might just be the perfect deli escape, blending authentic New York flavors with California's sunny charm. Their corned beef and pastrami sandwiches transport you straight to the bustling streets of Manhattan—each bite a perfect harmony of spices and tenderness. While the sandwiches are a tad light on the fill considering the price, the quality and flavor are unmistakable. The cinnamon raisin challah bread alone is worth the visit, with its delightful texture and hint of sweetness, reminiscent of cherished family breakfasts. The photographs of their offerings are a testament to their culinary artistry—what you see is exactly what you get: pure, delicious nostalgia.“

“I was searching for ice cream, as I usually am, and was pleasantly surprised to find that An had a location in Del Mar. I absolutely love their gelato and often go to their Dry Cleaning. The space was well decorated with a couple of tables inside and out. My experience each time at An's has been fantastic. I always feel welcomed. As I was with family, they went through the tasting from the palate cleanser onwards. Such a great and tasty experience for them. I got their mango & passionfruit and brown butter & chocolate chip cookies. Highly recommend An's Hatmakers!“
