The tri-tip was very good, nicely done. Good flavor and good serving size. Chimicurri sauce was also very good. The fries were served hot and crisp, mixed grilled veg serving was very small, focaccia bread (not shown) was fresh.
The counter service was slow, we were ignored for too long, with no acknowledgement.
We sat on outside patio area, staff was slow to clean tables (there were crows feeding off the leftover plates).“

“Best grilled shrimp taco I've ever had, quite literally. The flavors, the presentation, it was exquisite. I walked in on a whim, due to the inviting ambiance, and the food, drink, and service (special shout out to Rudy!) was phenomenal. Highly recommend when visiting Del Mar!“

“Amazing view, but the place was so incredibly loud inside. Luckily, they also have a self service deck on the side of the restaurant and my party just moved out there. I got the happy hour burger and Mac and cheese. Unfortunately, the burger was very salty and the Mac and cheese didn’t really have much cheese on it. Someone else in my party got the fish sandwich and it was amazing!

Update:
Went back for happy hour and got the fish sandwich, unfortunately there really wasn’t much fish at all in my sandwich, this photo was only after a couple of bites. However, the sandwich was really yummy. I also tried the bean dip, it was ok, pretty lemony and not really my thing. They also only gave 3 tiny slices of bread and a couple of chips to eat the dip, which was not enough to eat the dip. I also got the fries and they were amazing. Overall, I really like this place, I just wish they were a little bit more consistent.“

“WHAT A MEAL DEAL ! We stopped by for dinner after catching a movie last Wednesday.The Pulled Pork Sandwich & Fries + any beer on the menu board for just $12 was too good to pass up. Our sandwiches tasted great and the fabulous fries were freshly made even at after 7pm at night. I enjoyed both the IPA beers as my wife doesn't drink. “We were in the area at the beach and I looked for Asian food and this place looked good and interesting since they have several options to make your own spring rolls. I thought that would be something different and fun for my grandson. We ordered the fried crispy egg rolls and the make your own pork spring rolls, they were both a hit. I wanted to try the Shaky beef since it was a popular dish and the description said the meat and onions are charred, it was the best Shaky beef I've ever had and I've had it at many restaurants. I've never seen clay pot dishes before so we tried the salmon, the flavor is so unique and flavorful!
Everything was so good and the staff was so nice, I stopped by the next day for lunch and got to talk with the owner Nghia, he has such a kind, humble manner. He was there at closing the night before and working first thing when they opened the next day. I will definitely return when I'm in the area!“

“The entire staff is friendly, professional, and extremely hospitable. Today, I ordered a burger for my son with a condiment that I forgot he didn’t like. When it arrived at the table, the gentleman who brought the order to our table immediately recognized that my son wasn't happy about it. Without hesitating, he immediately exchanged the burger for one without the condiment and even brought a small French fry for my son while he waited. This prevented a hungry kid's meltdown. It was a small gesture that had a hugely positive impact on the quality of our experience. I'm always greeted with a smile and the team always welcomes my family’s complicated order without rushing us. We look forward to returning on the regular.“

“Had a wonderful experience here today! We were helped by a very helpful, efficient and kind-hearted employee named Luke. While enjoying my yogurt, I saw that he went above and beyond for a couple of very young girls (maybe 4?) who accidentally dropped their sample cups on the floor. Without being noticed by their mom or even being asked by anyone, he stopped the girls from reusing the fallen cups and kindly handed them brand-new ones with a sweet smile. It’s rare to see such genuine patience and customer care with kids. He also helped other customers and handled their questions quite well. Great service—we'll definitely be back!“
