“The Del Mar roll was the best sushi I have had in a long time and very filling! Ensui Sushi Bar and Grill stands up to their name. It is not the largest place, but it had 3 large TVs with March Madness on each one. I am so glad I found Ensui Sushi and will definitely be back!“
“Was a quiet night being a very rainy Monday. We devoured everything we ordered. Staff were gracious and friendly. Restaurant was clean and immaculate. Music was peaceful. We had one of the best meals we have had in Del Mar. We highly recommend. A must try. Will come back every time we are in town from Idaho.Vegetarian options: The veggie roll was so delicious. One of the best rolls I’ve had!“
“We absolutely loved our experience here and would come back in a heartbeat. The attention to detail, small group setting, high quality fish, and excellent service blew us away. Such interesting and creative flavor combinations without overshadowing the beauty of the fish itself. I’ve never had an omakase experience quite like this and would definitely recommend you splurge and try it yourself!“
“Had a wonderful dinner at Himitsu. Sat at the sushi bar and had a mix of sashimi, nigiri and temaki (chef's choice). Every piece was fresh and full of taste. Enjoyed nodoguro and saba in particular. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. As a solo diner, I was really comfortable and felt well-cared for entire time. It was also really nice to be offered to have a warm green tea to take away after the meal. Overall experience left me quite happy and content. Would love to come back in the future.“
“Service was amazing. Very nice workers. Ordered a yakisoba plate which was a great choice. The beef was very tender and the portion was HUGE. Also was recommended the chirashi sushi bowl. The fish did not disappoint. Honestly felt like I was back in Japan. Highly recommend this place! You will not regret.“
“This is amazing. The sushi is so fresh. Not even a hint of fishiness in any of the sushi. All you taste is the delicious fish. No weird after taste or anything like that. They have amazing specialty rolls. They've got truffles they've got smoker. They will blow your mind. I highly recommend people check this place.“
“Love the variety in this small but big store. Service is always friendly. This is more of a note to myself for future reference than anything. Sushi: super fresh, obsessed Udon: prepackaged/refrigerated/frozen, yum Chicken meatballs: pass, ate cold and heated and neither was it Premade sandwiches: pass, semi expensive for what it is and then it was also pretty flavorless so not worth the convenience Premade rice triangles: ok but pass Pickled vegetables: yes, yum Premade curry: yum in a pinch and if already there but CoCo's reigns supreme Parking is available but wild“
“My husband and I rarely go to sushi. Besides our favorite place back home because it’s usually such a disappointment. We decided to give this a try and I’m so glad that we did! Stephanie was phenomenal! ? The atmosphere was great and all of the food was delicious. We got a Bento box and two rolls and will definitely be back!“
“My new favorite local sushi spot! Great selection of rolls and great quality for the price! They also have combo options. I've enjoyed everything I've gotten so far. My favorite is the Lemon Cilantro roll. Gotta support my local small businesses!“
“First time there and it was packed. Didn’t have to wait as long as they told us and once seated, we were greeted by our service who was absolutely awesome. She asked if it was our first time and it was, so she gave us the run down and some recommendations. Annie was probably one of the best servers we have had dining out in a long time! I hope they know what a great employee they have with her. Food was amazing and we will be back.“
“Food is excellent here. It's a feast for your eyes as well as your stomach. The yellowtail Crudo is one of my favorites. Chef Nghi and his staff are top tier. One of the best sushi restaurants in San Diego. You won't be disappointed.“
“I cannot say enough good things about this place. Starting with the owners; they are amazing people who work incredibly hard and care about the community. Their food hits the spot every time. SO good!! They also catered an event for our school and everyone LOVED the food. The restaurant is very family-friendly, and it’s right near the water. Check it out!!“
“Warmly greeted. Seated in a comfortable location in this cozy nicely decorated restaurant. Attentive service. Everything we ordered except for the BBQ beef entree (ok, not great) was really excellent. Our favorite was the salmon avocado roll; it had the perfect proportions and taste. Would eat here again without hesitation but focus on hand rolls, maki and appetizers.“
“I cannot say enough about Domo Kitchen. The food has been great and the service is always good. The Won Ton soup on a cold night is just the right thing.Parking: There's just so much going on in the mall that parking can be a challenge some times.“
“A delicious omakase in San Diego! Shoutout to our cousin for taking us here!We had a reservation at 7:30PM for a Saturday evening meal. I believe we were sat on time and we got right into drinks and the course. Staff was friendly checking in on us and Chef TJ was fun, positive, and created a great omakase environment!I won't go into too much detail of each fish (as the menu can change with each service), but for the value, I thought it was an amazing meal!Parking is relatively easy to find in the plaza.I'm headed back to San Diego next week...so I'm going to have Matoi again :D twice in 2-3 weeks is my kind of vibe!“
“I've been craving some fish and this had really hit the spot! I had gotten the sashimi bowl and it was really satisfying, the fish was cut into larger strips and it was tender and it didn't have a strong fishy smell to it. The rice underneath was quite good as well it was flavorful without being overly vinegar-y. Also if anyone was wondering what the difference was between the sashimi bowl and the sashimi set with rice (both of which are the same price), it seems like there's more rice in the sashimi bowl and there's some crushed seaweed and sesame seeds on the sashimi bowl between the rice and the fish. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, I don't think I would bring more than 2-4 people with me.“
“Bulgogi pancake and fried rice were particularly delicious. Rolls very good too. Service was good and friendly. Place had a nice vibe, and not too loud - possible to have a normal conversation over dinner without shouting over the music or other patrons. Will definitely be back.“
“Food was good, salmon nigiri was buttery! Chicken Teriyaki skillet portion seemed a bit smaller compared to other locations though. Atmosphere was great, some tables even get an ocean view! Server forgot to bring a couple of items we asked for (sauces) but not a big deal. Overall a great place to visit, especially for the character buns ?“
“I got the Hand Rolls (comes with 5 rolls... Shrimp, Spicy Tuna, Salmon, Scallops and Yellowtail) and each one was better than the last... super fresh... zero fishy smell... the Scallops was surprisingly my favorite. I've had bad scallops before and wasn't sure what to expect. But its absolutely delicious. They have 5 different sauces to add for dipping, just get them all they are excellent. Service was quick and friendly, I'll be back 100%“
“Loved everything that we tried. Tea leaf salad, coconut noodle soup, sushis, chilli shrimp. The owner was super helpful as well despite a very busy day. Great to see Burmese cuisine spot in San Diego as it is one of our favorite Asian cuisines.“
“This is a Japanese restaurant where you can enjoy a pleasant meal with fresh ingredients and friendly service.Salmon skin salad is a great appetizer as it combines crispy fried salmon skin with vegetables. The special nigiri set was good and the California roll was well made, had a good texture and the ingredients were fresh.I think it will be a nice and enjoyable time to eat with your lover and family. The bathroom is inside, but it is also located near the restaurant bar, so you can use it comfortably.Udon is delicious because it has good broth, is not salty, and is protein.“
“Food was EXCELLENT!!! We were a group of 3, we each ordered appetizers and entrees. IT WAS ALOT OF FOOD!!! Some items we ordered wished we could have had an explanation of how to eat it. Our server was friendly and the drinks were great as well! We were lucky enough to get there early and was able to get a karaoke room. There are only two, so you could be on a wait list. The room was $40 with a min of 1 hour, and I believe they start charging after every 10 minutes! Overall a fun time!!!“
“Very nice staff in a rather deli-like setting. The sushi was good quality with a good variety. My two lesser grades were to the avocados in an octopus ceviche -- tiny cubes nearly impossible to pick up with chopsticks; and "fresh" wasabi that looked more like a green salsa and not very tasty. Parking was a bit of a search since the block the restaurant sits on has been closed off to provide outside tables. When in the area in search of sushi, I'd definitely go back.“
“Our favorite in San Diego north county. Great quality, reasonable prices, friendly staff. On the rare occasion they made a mistake, they bc protected it and added something extra too :)They are also good with allergy customers, ensuring no gluten, dairy etc“
“Chef Patrick is an artist! He and his team are the perfect choice for a special evening! We hosted 7 VIP business clients for dinner and the evening was perfect. Each course was uniquely wonderful in sight, smell and taste. The entire meal felt like an experience in the best sushi restaurant, but even more special in the comfort of our home. As a discriminating traveler of many outstanding dining experiences, I would absolutely recommend Sushi Florist for your event!“
“My friend and I tried this place randomly! It's a little hole in the wall restaurant in Clairemont. There is limited parking in the lot, but street parking is available. The restaurant itself is small and gets pretty crowded. I recommend calling to make a reservation when they open. All the servers are all so welcoming and sweet!Definitely recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area.Miso soup: (5/5) Very good flavor and has some tofu in it.Garlic edamame (without chili): (5/5) This has a sweeter flavor without the chili. They were cooked very well. They are very good!Super salmon roll: (5/5) Nice and refreshing roll. The salmon was super fresh. It was interesting as there was cucumber and avocado in the roll too!Sun kiss roll: (5/5) 0mg. The first bite I took I blacked out, I was in heaven. This combination of fish mixed with the sauce was perfect. I honestly could've eaten 2 of these rolls alone.Salmon nigiri: (5/5) If | could give more than 5 stars for the nigiri I would!!! The portions of fish are generous and taste so fresh! We ended up ordering 3 of these.Seriously so good!“
“I was craving sushi after church this past Sunday and looked up places close to where I live and URBN sushi stood out because of the good reviews. And it did not disappoint! I ordered the spicy shrimp roll & the bulgogi roll (pictured), and both were absolutely delicious and fresh, and a generous portion size. I have never tried beef with sushi, but it’s a yummy combo and I’m a fan. The complimentary edamame was a nice treat! And I ordered one of the cherry flavored house sodas and it was refreshing. The server was so kind & attentive— excellent customer service, and this restaurant is incredibly clean. This is definitely going to be my go to sushi spot in SD!“
“This place is awesome, the owner is so kind and friendly. I went a few months ago and was so kind. We had questions and he answered them and had such a great energy vibe. Seems like a one man show so you have to understand if it's "slow" but I mean what do you expect. It 's one guy so if you can get past that and put away your preferences for quick fast food and embrace that good food takes time. Then you'll really really enjoy this place. He also gave us Japanese candy for free which was awesome.“
“This place is 3 blocks away from home and every time we go the family that owns it has treated our family of 4 with kindness and patience - we have a 6 and a 4 year old. The sushi is great, the soup, also, prices, reasonable and the proximity to home priceless.“
“I’ve never had a bad time at Glass Box! The food is amazing and the servers, sushi chefs, and management team will make you feel kind you’re a VIP from the second you walk in their establishment. I highly recommend the omakase experience!“
“It was my first time here and I just want to say that the staff was amazing the sushi rules were very well put together taste very wonderful and they had a very fast service I have to admit I was in love. Like I said it was out of the blue and I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a good place for sushi!“
“Delicious sushi at Niban! Nice casual restaurant to enjoy great seafood and relax. We had the Lion King Roll, albacore tuna supreme roll, eel hand roll, Dragon Roll, and gyoza. The service is very friendly and quick. They have an outdoor patio as well that’s dog friendly. Recommend!“
“Recently moved to the area and decided to stop in on New Years Eve for an early dinner. The place wasn't too busy, but still had a great vibe. We were greeted by Jade, who was super friendly and explained each of the flavors of the Hard Kombuchas and even let us try a few! I had the Key Lime Pie. Their sushi menu is extensive, and has the basic sushi rolls and also specialities. Jade also knew a lot about the menu and the rolls, and recommended the moonlight roll and the grandview. We also got other items on the menu. Overall, we highly enjoyed the place and are happy we have a taproom/sushi in our new home!!“
“The decor is beautiful and intimate. The service was fast and friendly. Now to fhe good stuff - the sushi was very fresh and they had appetizers that I was surprised to see! Many sushi places in San Diego tend to be very Americanized, but they had a more authentic variety. The sashimi was delicious and fairly priced.“
“Phenomenal seafood, great service (by Jake/Jacob), my only qualm is them not having an espresso martini, on national espresso martini day, because they only do them during the holidays.... PC, we need these martinis year round! Bring them baaaaack!“
“I'm Japanese, but I like it better than Japanese ramen shops.Ramen eaten in Japan is delicious, butThere are times when I feel like something is missing, especially at chain stores.Of course, there are some restaurants that I like, and many that I return to repeatedly. But La Kirakiramen is delicious, and every time I eat it, I always want to come back.Because there's love in it.“
“Unassuming place with very yummy food. While their are slightly tastier places you have to wait very long to get a seat. Not here. Great food with little to no wait! Lots of food options as well.Parking: Very little parking in this area with many restaurants.Kid-friendliness: Friendly for kids.“
“This has got to be my top choice when it comes to sushi. The choices went from basic to scrumptious. They started sushi from the basics and made others very unique. I was surprised by some flavors such as macadamia nuts, but overall pleasantly surprised. I would definitely recommend the sashimi. Their platters and samplers are filled with flavor and the fish tasted fresh every time.“
“This place is take out only, so I recommend to order ahead of time, at least one hour before. The service is very slow, so don’t come here on an empty stomach, because you will be waiting for a while. The sushi was decent and fresh. The portions are large and well packed.“
“Good place for a nice meal. Very busy and loud. (I guess we showed up during happy hour or something). Food very nice presented and super tasty. Try "Ring of fire" if you like it spicy. Fried squid as a starter is a hit. Gyoza was okey, could have a bit more crunch to it. Over all, really good place. Service is really good, even when it's loyd and very busy. One strange thing though, TV over the sushi bar showing basket ball... feels a little bit off...and makes it even more "busy"/stressful.“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Gami Sushi for dinner. From the moment I stepped in, I was impressed with the casual yet inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. But what truly stole the show was the exceptional quality of the fish and the use of fresh wasabi.Despite its casual atmosphere and reasonable price, Gami Sushi manages to maintain a level of quality that exceeds expectations. The friendly staff and attentive service further contribute to the overall positive experience. Whether you're looking for a quick sushi fix or a relaxed evening with friends, Gami Sushi offers a delightful combination of quality food and a laid-back atmosphere. When it comes to sushi, quality is of utmost importance, and Gami Sushi certainly delivered. The fish was undoubtedly top-notch, boasting a remarkable freshness that elevated the dining experience. Each piece melted in my mouth with a perfect balance of textures and flavors. It was evident that great care was taken in sourcing the ingredients, as only the freshest and highest-quality fish made it to the plate.Overall, I highly recommend Gami Sushi. Prepare to be impressed by the vibrant flavors and impeccable sushi craftsmanship.“
“Food is excellent but never order anything online unless you want to pay a huge mark up. I ordered online with the option "no service fee" on the order link, for a take out order I personally picked up at the restaurant. When I got there I was handed this paper. Lessons.“
“We don’t get out much — the last time we ordered from here was during the pandemic! We dined here and were pretty impressed with the quality of food. At first, there was a bit of sticker shock, but we were very pleased with everything. The flavors were so rich and authentic …and the serving sizes were large! We had an early dinner. Service was welcoming and they even had live music. I’m actually shocked the ratings aren’t higher here. I definitely recommend!“
“Went on a weekday the place has ample amount of seating and parking. I ordered a spicy sesame ramen. It was good and quite filling. I personally prefer the Tajima Ramen to spicy sesame. There was a slight problem with our order where one of the dishes didn't arrive but was on the bill, but after pointing out it was taken of quickly. The mercury location doesn't have vegetable gyoza on the menu which the convoy location has. Woth visiting again.“
“Best Filipino food! I was in Los Angeles and I came across with their restaurant Kusina San Diego I was really happy because I saw the Kare-kare which is my ultimate favorite and I've been craving with the dish. Yes!! it was really delicious. Highly recommended!“
“This sushi spot is a great option for a speedy lunch or casual dinner. Their hour's are great: even opeb in-between L & D! They won't blow your mind w/ culinary innovation, but you get fresh, decent sushi in a clean & friendly atmosphere. The miso soup was a satisfying starter, hitting the spot with its savory warmth. The tempura was a bit standard but the gyoza pulled up their rating, but all still enjoyable. The sushi rolls were fresh BUT a little underl-constructed, nice choices. The the service & convenience are the best. The wait staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure everything came out quickly. Plus, with a good selection of draft and bottled beers, it's was a relaxing and hassle-free experience.Overall, this restaurant won't be your next special occasion destination, but it's a reliable choice for a quick and tasty sushi fix. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the mood for a no-fuss, fresh meal.“
“We wait about 120 minutes. I expected to wait, but it was a little too long. The food was ok, but there was a very small selection to compare to Kura sushi in Japan. The server is a robot, and you can order on the table screen. You can enjoy real japanese sushi go round.“
“A place I look forward to going to. A HUGE selection of food, including sushi, salads, soups, vegetables, and Asian entrees, including shellfish. The desserts are vast with an ice cream bar with more toppings you can ever use. Service is constant and very attentive. Suggestion: They fill up quickly, especially lunch, so make reservations. If there was a 10 star rating system, this would be a 10.Parking: Fulls up quick, but you can always get one with a little patience.“
“This unassuming, smallish restaurant is a gem. I have eaten there twice, and highly recommend the more unusual dishes - agadashi, yakatori and mango panna cotta dessert. They have a long list of wine, beer and saki. Their sushi is good, but not anything special. Service is attentive; they really take care of you. Recommended for lunch and dinner.“
“Regardless if you eat at the bar or the dining room- the food will be wonderful. I like to get a bar reservation when I'm in the mood for their unique sushi. I'm always treated to the freshest plates and epic service! The dining room is more limited. A three course dinner and an upscale atmosphere. You really can't go wrong. The Market is a place I frequent regularly.“
