“What a gem! We’re in town for the week and got a good recommendation to stop by Harry’s Coffee in Del Mar. Our local family said it was their go-to spot. “Amazing view, but the place was so incredibly loud inside. Luckily, they also have a self service deck on the side of the restaurant and my party just moved out there. I got the happy hour burger and Mac and cheese. Unfortunately, the burger was very salty and the Mac and cheese didn’t really have much cheese on it. Someone else in my party got the fish sandwich and it was amazing!

Update:
Went back for happy hour and got the fish sandwich, unfortunately there really wasn’t much fish at all in my sandwich, this photo was only after a couple of bites. However, the sandwich was really yummy. I also tried the bean dip, it was ok, pretty lemony and not really my thing. They also only gave 3 tiny slices of bread and a couple of chips to eat the dip, which was not enough to eat the dip. I also got the fries and they were amazing. Overall, I really like this place, I just wish they were a little bit more consistent.”

“It’s our annual place to be every August for the last 17 years: celebrating 50 years of marriage! The food, service and atmosphere right on the beach is heavenly. Our bartender Steve congratulated us and we talked for a short time. Everyone is so friendly, can’t beat the quality of their meals ! We drive out from Phoenix to have their specialty. “We have been looking for a place that served tasty Acai Bowls…Our favorite Acai bowl places either, closed down, burned down or changed the way they made their Acai bowls…We found Liquid Bean Café on the internet and decided to give it a try…Well, we both had the Acai bowls but I added an Egg Salad Sandwich pressed in a Panini press to our order…The Acai Bowls were fresh and totally delicious!!!…I really liked the Egg Salad Sandwich and loved the way it was pressed and toasted in the Panini press…We highly recommend Liquid Bean Café if you are ever in the Del Mar area…We will definitely be back again!!!…Five Stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“First time visiting this restaurant, and I came with a group of friends around 12:30 PM. One of the things I really loved about this location is how close it is to the beach. The area is beautiful, with plenty of stores and things to do nearby, and the view is absolutely gorgeous.

I ordered the crispy rice, and unfortunately, it was just okay for me. There wasn’t anything particularly extraordinary about the dish, and the flavors were fairly mediocre. It just didn’t quite meet my expectations. That said, the customer service was absolutely awesome, which is why I gave the atmosphere and customer service 5 out of 5 stars for the overall service and experience.

I would definitely come back with friends just to hang out, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, and spend time in the area. The location is fantastic, and being right by the beach definitely adds to the experience. I just wish the food had impressed me as much as the atmosphere and customer service did!

“A very cozy place! The coffee is sometimes delicious—it probably depends on the barista; I wish every barista working for the company were properly qualified. I ordered one shot of espresso and two shots of water online, but when I received the order, the 300ml cup was completely full. I pointed out that I had asked for only half a cup, but the barista simply poured out half of it instead of remaking the drink. It doesn't take a genius to realize that pouring out half the cup means the coffee concentration won't be what I asked for.”

“Wonderful bar in the Hotel L’Aubarge in Del Mar. Bartenders Blake and Leo are awesome but all who work there are awesome. Great vegetable crudités that looks like you are pulling vegies out of a garden but taste delicious (just don’t eat the stems, they are a little bitter) ? I didn’t give a 5 because my chicken sandwich had a very tasteless piece of chicken breast. This was so in contrast to the bun, the fresh avocado and tomato I added. I suggest they use a better type of chicken. This looked like a frozen flat mass produced product with bad texture and no flavor. Hope this is helpful as otherwise the cafe is super nice with many tasty drinks and food.”

Great wifi/spot to work if you are in the area, and has good predictable hours compared to other places. The parking spots are helpful in a town where that is always an issue. Their focaccia is DELISH!!!”

“We were in the area at the beach and I looked for Asian food and this place looked good and interesting since they have several options to make your own spring rolls. I thought that would be something different and fun for my grandson. We ordered the fried crispy egg rolls and the make your own pork spring rolls, they were both a hit. I wanted to try the Shaky beef since it was a popular dish and the description said the meat and onions are charred, it was the best Shaky beef I've ever had and I've had it at many restaurants. I've never seen clay pot dishes before so we tried the salmon, the flavor is so unique and flavorful!
Everything was so good and the staff was so nice, I stopped by the next day for lunch and got to talk with the owner Nghia, he has such a kind, humble manner. He was there at closing the night before and working first thing when they opened the next day. I will definitely return when I'm in the area!”

“The entire staff is friendly, professional, and extremely hospitable. Today, I ordered a burger for my son with a condiment that I forgot he didn’t like. When it arrived at the table, the gentleman who brought the order to our table immediately recognized that my son wasn't happy about it. Without hesitating, he immediately exchanged the burger for one without the condiment and even brought a small French fry for my son while he waited. This prevented a hungry kid's meltdown. It was a small gesture that had a hugely positive impact on the quality of our experience. I'm always greeted with a smile and the team always welcomes my family’s complicated order without rushing us. We look forward to returning on the regular.”

“Had a wonderful experience here today! We were helped by a very helpful, efficient and kind-hearted employee named Luke. While enjoying my yogurt, I saw that he went above and beyond for a couple of very young girls (maybe 4?) who accidentally dropped their sample cups on the floor. Without being noticed by their mom or even being asked by anyone, he stopped the girls from reusing the fallen cups and kindly handed them brand-new ones with a sweet smile. It’s rare to see such genuine patience and customer care with kids. He also helped other customers and handled their questions quite well. Great service—we'll definitely be back!”

I've always had a good experience at that Starbucks, but this was above and beyond - hope they promote her!”

“I understand mistakes happen. I usually eat at this restaurant once a week after my late shift around 2/3 a.m. I noticed the quality of food got really bad. My meal was simple—a single patty cheeseburger with nothing on it. The first mess-up was the fries—they were burnt. Then the second mess-up: a burnt burger. Like, crispy burnt. Then my last and final straw—they served me a moldy burger that I thought was flour. Even my friends saw it and agreed after I sent them a picture. I ended up in the hospital. I called the manager, and he didn’t even offer a refund—said I was lying. I told him I’d send proof, and then he said no and hung up in my face. Not only is the manager rude and disrespectful, he cares little for his kitchen’s mistakes—and it cost me a day in the hospital. Cost me the only day I have with my son. All because his chefs are lazy and don’t care what they serve.”

Our room was exceptional, featuring an incredibly comfortable bed, luxurious bedding, a marble bathroom, and a breathtaking ocean view from the balcony. The hot tub was a perfect temperature for the cool May evening. On Saturday night, there was a gorgeous wedding on the rooftop, and we enjoyed listening to the music from the hot tub. It wrapped up around 10:30 p.m., allowing for a peaceful and restful night’s sleep. The staff was extremely courteous, and the valet service was top-notch. We will absolutely return to this beautiful hotel and highly recommend it to anyone considering a stay—don’t hesitate to book your room!”
