A reason for the four is I ordered an egg for my barbecue tri-tip sandwich and the yolk came done like well done. I would expect any chef knows that when you order an egg for a burger or a sandwich if you want it to be ready nice and warm and runny that’s why you have it put on there. But flavors and textures were excellent“

“I understand mistakes happen. I usually eat at this restaurant once a week after my late shift around 2/3 a.m. I noticed the quality of food got really bad. My meal was simple—a single patty cheeseburger with nothing on it. The first mess-up was the fries—they were burnt. Then the second mess-up: a burnt burger. Like, crispy burnt. Then my last and final straw—they served me a moldy burger that I thought was flour. Even my friends saw it and agreed after I sent them a picture. I ended up in the hospital. I called the manager, and he didn’t even offer a refund—said I was lying. I told him I’d send proof, and then he said no and hung up in my face. Not only is the manager rude and disrespectful, he cares little for his kitchen’s mistakes—and it cost me a day in the hospital. Cost me the only day I have with my son. All because his chefs are lazy and don’t care what they serve.“

“Wonderful jack in the box, really a level up from other locations in terms of staff. The manager is such a friendly guy and remembers me and my employees every time we visit. His attention and care for customers is not common in the fast food world. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.“

Now that I graduated UCSD, I’m seriously gonna miss my beloved late night snickerdoodle milkshakes as well as being greeted by the melt’s friendly staff! Claire really stood out to me as someone who was consistently cheerful and helpful. I also really love that they’ve been showing the World Cup! “Great concept, like an In-N-Out that also serves alcohol. They have a very small and simple menu but everything is done very well, basically the definition of quality over quantity. The bartender Jeff was great, and the cocktails were excellent- like actually really good and I don't say that often. Prices were very reasonable for the area.“

“After posting a negative review about the service at this restaurant, they gave me a $50 gift card to go back and try again. Unbelievably, the service was even worse this time around. We were sitting on the patio with our dogs, and the server barely made any appearances. I could see her other tables were getting frustrated, and I believed her when she apologized, saying that she was busy with her inside tables. Clearly management has not adequately staffed this restaurant, and there was never a manager checking on tables on the patio during our prolonged visit. The restaurant was incredibly popular, and I witnessed them turning multiple people away who did not have reservations while we were waiting for our table. Maybe the inside tables get better service? One of the benefits of the restaurant, though, is being able to bring our dogs, so hopefully they will figure out how to staff the patio better in the future.“

Decent size restaurant, they had non-stop carryout orders while we were there too, a great sign indeed. Parking is awful, the lot was full so we parked on the street. Great for a quick bite, lunch, and comfort food 😋.“

“The Friendly Burger is a small shop that truly delivers amazing food. Their smash burger is outstanding crispy on the edges, juicy in the center and packed with flavor in every bite. The onion rings are perfectly cooked, golden, and crunchy with just the right seasoning. The cashier was friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall great experience. While the parking lot is on the smaller side, it’s a minor inconvenience for such quality. This spot is absolutely worth the visit, especially if you are in the neighborhood for work and need a satisfying, delicious lunch.“

Susan always quick to check on guests and her milkshakes are to die for! If there was refills on milkshakes I probably would never leave! 5 stars, 10/10 experience each time!“

“Garden Grill House is one of the best places to eat. The food is fresh, flavorful, and always perfectly cooked. “Solid burger place. The Tempura Beans are great - the sauce would be nicer if thicker. No Seed Oil in fryer makes for great fries. Get your burger to your preference. Self-help pepper bar is always clean and well stocked. Outside gets a good breeze. Inside tables are easy to move to accommodate larger or smaller 'parties'. Great meet-up location.“

I have to be gluten free unfortunately but it doesn’t feel like a pain here, well labeled menu, they have regular gluten options so my boyfriend can choose anything as well, he has tried my gluten free options and said they are also just as good, the gluten free buns are pretty decent but I prefer the bowls, I’m not big on gluten free bread, the buns are not gluten free by default you have to ask for that just fyi, we love the food every time, bowls are great, the peri peri sauce is my fave“
