“Had a late night bite to eat. The staff was extremely friendly and polite, even though we were so close to closing time. The tacos were amazing. I wish we could've tried them all. The guacamole salt and lime was hands down the best guac ever. The homemade tortilla chips were top-notch. Kuty's churros are heavenly and highly recommended.“

“Trudy and Susie were wonderful! The food was delicious. My daughter had the Bushfire burger and I had the salmon bowl with roasted vegetables. Both were great! My daughter's wine tasted a little off, and they comped it, plus giving her another glass on the house! Such great service. We come here quite often and we will continue.“
“Cute little pizza shop. Harry was super nice and helpful! As we were ordering all our individual slices, he mentioned that ordering a whole pizza would save us money. We got a full bbq chicken and a half pepperoni and half specialty (pepperoni, onions, and jalapeños). The pizza was delicious!“
“Buonasera is great! They have tons of pizza ready to go by the slice that they'll heat up for you real quick. We went here after a walk on the beach and it was the move. I had the bacon chicken ranch which was delicious. The Antipasto salad was also super refreshing and yummy with the little mortadella and provolone rolls. My dad had the Pepperoni and Sausage and the Red Veggie which he said were also both delicious. They have a nice large outdoor seating area with a bar where you can watch the game. It's a nuce easy spot for some great pizza after a day at the beach.“
“It's huge and delicious!!! I had strawberry cheesecake and there was a lot of cheesecake on it. It is a little less chewy than Vera, but has a softer taste. The strawberry syrup is not too much or too sweet, so it harmonizes well with the vanilla flavor. But there is really no end to eating it.“
“Excellent dining experience! Enjoyed an authentic taste of Peru made even better by the warm service. Highly recommend the ceviche, yuquitas, quinoa salad (would add protein if ordering as main entree), and the Tempranillo. The chaufa was good, just a bit too much soy sauce for my taste. Look forward to coming back to try more dishes, including the lomo saltado. Cozy patio dining with heat lamps.“
“Great for groups- Large tables and we had children with our group and they were able to play on the turf outside the downstairs area while we were waiting for our food. I ordered the turkey and avocado salad with steak (I like protein) which was absolutely delicious. The protein made it extra filling. A sliced hard boiled egg would have elevated it perfectly so a note to myself to add that next time if it's an option. Lots of healthy options to choose from. Will definitely eat here again.“
“Happy hour delight! Great prices and delicious food! A friend and I met here on a Wednesday afternoon for happy hour. I had never been to Zel's but was looking forward to trying something new. We sat on the bar side of the restaurant. The place was cute, quaint, updated and very clean. The bartender/ our server Alison was so kind and treated us like we were regulars. We ordered a few things to share and every single thing was so good. I wouldn't get the salad again - it wasn't anything special but everything else I'd revisit. I would definitely recommend this spot!“
“Love this place! They have chagacinnos and wonderful healthy baked goods with organic ingredients and vegan gf options. Laron was SUPER sweet by helping me decide what to get and explaining everything so well. She is so kind and made the experience. Thank you! Will definitely be coming back anytime I’m in Del Mar.“
“Tamarindo a MUST when you are visiting Del Mar! Outstanding views, food, cocktails, and SERVICE! We sat at the bar and were hosted by Kelsie and Michelle. These two young ladies were courteous, friendly and efficient! I have dined around San Diego for 20 years and what will always get me to return is good quality service. Thank you Kelsie and Michelle for making our first visit to Tamarindo so special! We will be back very soon.“
“Came to Del Mar for a nice afternoon visit with the kids. Was worried about food being too upscale. Wanted a nice beer and tried WestBrew. What an excellent choice. I had the WestBrew burger with a side salad, and it was the best food I’ve had since being in California all week. Wife had the club and loved it. They have kids menus, crayons, and kids cups. Had the seal cove and was very surprised by its delicious taste. Great choice of IPAs. Super simple little spot and would def. Recommend to anyone who comes to Del Mar for a lunch spot.Kid-friendliness: Kid menu, crayons, kids cups“
“Really nice little coffee stand! My friend who is a coffee connoisseur loves their coffee which says a lot! I'm not a coffee drinker but I really like their rooibos tea which can be served hot or cold. They also have other non-caffeine options like kombucha and Topo Chico. It's a great place to make a pit stop on a beach walk!“
“Both the Turkey Club and the Salmon Burger were amazing. The fries however were overcooked. Great portion size and great cut for the fries, just sat a bit too long in oil. The atmosphere and service is great. Prices are adequate for the area.“
“I have made a review in the past and I had to leave another one because I want to emphasize how great this authentic patisserie is. There is no other bakery in Del Mar that comes close. Same goes for the larger sister location in La Jolla where you can see right into the kitchen as they intricately work, Parisien Gourmandises. Not only is the owner and main Pastry Chef raised in France, she and the other chefs have worked and collaborated with some of the leading pasty chefs in the industry. Any mixed or bad reviews left on here are either by people who have ulterior motives or just have bad taste in food; you can quote me. Their kouign amann is absolute BLISS. Getting pastries and cake from them is my weekly pleasure. The staff is always kind and attentive. It's immaculately clean. They also have a beautiful selection of imported goods and sweets. For anyone who's reading average reviews, thats just not the case. I see people complaining that sometimes they close early and I can't say thats a fair assessment. They make FRESH BATCHES DAILY to ensure that you are getting the best quality and at times they sell out. Anything that sells out fast just proves my point and is a testament as to how excellent it is. Just had the most incredible birthday cake, "LE ROYAL AU CHOCOLAT". Go see for yourself. Get there early.“
“Such a great high energy Brewery in Del Mar right by the horse-track. Beer is phenomenal, food is great (good amount of options) and atmosphere is electric! We even got a rainbow to enjoy during our meal! One thing, this place is popular, parking can be a pain, but there is a pay lot right next door. Pricey, $8 for two hours.“
“Best sandwich shop around. This is the original one and its in the best location. Easy to take one to-go and bring it to the beach, or stay and have an ice cold brew while there. You must get their sauce if you go. In my opinion it what makes the sandwich SO incredibly good. I usually get the cold ones (turkado) but i have had the chicken sandwich as well which was great.“
“Love this place! All the people are super friendly and have a lot of drink/flavor options. Can't go wrong with the zebra cake (but I prefer half sweet). They are happy to customize for you. Great views and the vibes are good. Thanks Kini!“
“We're so happy to see our treasured Harry's from La Jolla open in Del Mar. It's made that corner look so welcoming in town. The owners are local & you can feel that warmth of a family-owned and operated business. My favorite is the waffle...a classic Belgian waffle with coffee. Clients loved it and my kids love it too.“
“Right on the water — great location. It was a Sunday night, so not busy at all. Our server (Chris) was excellent! Salmon was a little overcooked, but still tasty. Brussels Sprouts were some of the best I've ever had. Overall pleased with our decision to try it out; we'll go back again.“
“Went here for restaurant week this week, and it's just as good as I remembered! I got the carpaccio to start and picked on my friend's artichokes. The artichokes were still one of my all time faves! I got the lasagna as my main entree, which was flavorful and cheesy! I got the chocolate panna cotta for dessert, which is probably the best I've had! The service was friendly, and helpful, and patient with us gals catching up for 3.5 hours!! We also got lucky with a beautiful sunset that evening, but regardless of the time, the view is always nice.“
“Place has some of the best hashbrowns around. I ordered a santa fe omelet, pancakes, eggs and a strawberry crepe. Every item was cooked perfectly. The eggs were nice and fluffy. The bacon was crispy and delicious. Definitely worth trying out.Parking: Over 400 spaces behind Whole Foods.“
“Delicious food and sweet atmosphere. This is a cute brunch place within a 5 minute walk to the beach. This place can get very busy for brunch.Parking: Parking is often hard to find for this place because it’s in Del Mar and so close to the Main Street and beach.Expect to spend 10 minutes finding parking.“
“First time visiting today, and the gentleman at the counter was so helpful in suggesting what to order based on my preferences. I totally appreciated that! I'm so impressed with how good the coffee is here! I also had a breakfast sammie that was delicious and made just right. I'm glad I stopped by!“
“Lived in Del Mar for 14 years now and I have to say that without fail Kotija Jr. Delivers great Mexican food each time I go there. The guys working there are super chill and laid back which is rad. The portions are big and you get a lot for your money. The fish tacos, Al Pastor and tried and true California burrito are fantastic. The food is done pretty quick and comes out hot and fresh. If you're big into Mexican food and wanna have a chill Denali definitely go here.“
“We love Del Mar and this is our go to restaurant. You don't need reservations and they have a nice outdoor atmosphere. The service is very friendly. The food is good and well priced. I consider this restaurant a great alternative to the expensive Californian restaurants as well as the less expensive pizza and Mexican places in town. I also have taken business lunch meetings here as the lunch menu is very reasonable. Lots of parking around if you head down 11 or 12 Ave toward the water.“
“This is such a cool place and offers a very authentic feel. The seating downstairs is so cool and pet friendly. There are plants everywhere and they have heaters for colder days. It’s mostly covered so you are safe in the rain. The food was delicious and the happy hour made everything even more affordable. We got nachos and tacos and it was all perfect. We will for sure be going back the next time we are in Del Mar.Vegetarian options: The wonderful thing about Mexican food is that it’s very easy to turn into vegetarian or vegan.Parking: It was a little busy so we had to drive around a little to find parking. I imagine during busy season it’s very difficult to find parking but it’s very walkable.“
“Everyone else's food was good except mine so minus a star lol. I ordered ahead for pick up 3 appetizers and 2 main dishes about $95. Our food was ready when promised and packed well no leaks. Barbeque chicken wings were awesome. Both types of imperial rolls were excellent and still crispy even though I hit traffic getting it home and came with ample lettuce, herbs and sauce. The peanut sauce we liked the best. Clay pot Salmon was small but tasty. Jasmine tea was terrible I decided to spit it out and toss it after the third sip. Vegetable fried rice was lacking the " fried" aspect more like undercooked dry vegis tossed in leftover rice so I couldn't recommend that dish. Overall decent, a bit pricey but typical for that area.“
“TLDR: yes. my partner and i had intentions of going to a different açaí bowl joint, but ended up here and i'm thoroughly pleased! we got the AÇAÍ SUPERBERRY BOWL and it was your standard açaí bowl, really. but it was preferred because the granola was layered in the bowl. pricing was standard too for its size, as far as we've seen. no complaints!“
“I love an Open Kitchen! Watching the Bakers work, using quality flour, and a clean environment, all the key indicators of a wonderful Bakery!I got the whole wheat focaccia and a baguette, Amy picked up a morning bun and an almond croissant, everyone loved the croissant, I heard remarks such as perfectly balanced, sweet but not too sweet and “did you finish it?” The baguette was sweet and begging to be made into a sandwich.I’m big into focaccia these days and I appreciate a whole wheat half pan, crisp on the edges, large pockets of air and a gentle finish of olive oil. This is a great snack and ready for any dipping or side action. The coffees were excellent! I had an oat milk latte with an extra shot. I’ll be back!“
“Looking for a good brunch place in Del Mar this is the place The food was delicious, all made to order all made fresh very tasty Love their Chilaquiles... Service was very nice and friendly and accommodating Ambiance is nice, u have an ocean view... clean space and the decor is nice Parking is all street parking free for 2 hours Def coming back here again“
“We came here on the last day of restaurant week for lunch. The ambiance was very nice and we had a partial view of the ocean which was good. I had the lamb meatballs which were delicious and very tender. My wife had the hummus and the pita chips were delicious. The burger and grilled cheese for main course were both very tasty. The only thing that let down the meal slightly were that the chocolate torte and the lemon tart tasted like they were bought in rather than made freshly. The chocolate torte was a bit dry and the lemon tart wasn't set. They still had great flavour. Also props to the place not having a stupid restaurant surcharge.Parking: There is a covered parking lot directly behind the restaurant with two hours free for restaurant customers.“
“Forgot to use the $2 off check-in Yelp coupon! I hate when I only check in after I order and sit down and then see it. Anyway, this is a small location in a busy mall. A few tables inside snd a few tables outside. Food is good - got a Lounge burger with guac and salad with chicken. Burger Lounge is pretty consistent and probably my go-to burger place since it's healthier than In-N-Out.“
“Beautiful, delicious. But ridiculously expensive. We decided to just go get cheap fish tacos down the street while enjoying drinks/appetizers there (over $70). We are crab tostadas which were delicious. Great setting if you can afford it. There is a bar outside too. I think they have live music on Thursday nights, it was good.Valet only parking, nice guys there too. But you could park locally elsewhere and walk in. We ended up buying milkshakes elsewhere and drinking them in the lobby while sitting by the fireplace.“
“Saturday night was my first time at Jimmy O's even though I've lived here for 12 years, I can't believe what I've been missing! Hannah was our bartender, and she honestly made it such a fun night for us! We asked her to make us something fun and she did not disappoint! Her drinks fit the mood - happy and light! The crowd was friendly, will definitely be back!“
“The food was amazing. I split the monte Cristo with my mom and it was the perfect portion and best monte cristo I've had since Disneyland.Parking: There is usually a lot of parking in this shopping center, but we came around brunch time and it was absolutely PACKED.“
“Been 28 years now that im coming back Haha They finally went back to adding avocado if you dont want guac and then kid at the register is super friendly and smiling - best customer service there has been in years. I should have gotten his name he is maybe 20tears old. Big smile.“
“My friend took me here to watch the sunset and celebrate my birthday. I have been here before but this was my favorite food experience. The hostess was lovely. We sat by the window with a great view of the ocean and the sun going down. Our server, Roberto, was friendly, accommodating, efficient and really listened. We both ordered the salmon special which was Norwegian salmon with spinach and roasted potatoes. Both our dishes were perfectly cooked by Chef Carlos. Manager Angela lovely.Thank you all! ♥️??♥️“
“We have been here several times. Food is consistent. Not too crowded so noise level was not an issue. This was a Sunday morning brunch. Noise tends to escalate at night. Overall an enjoyable restaurant. Great views. Our waiter seemed to get tied up with one table and took a while to get us our check“
“Visiting Del Mar for a family event, we happened on the Broken Yolk cafe. It was Sunday at 11 am, seeing a small crowd waiting for a table boded well for a local favorite breakfast spot. The menu was extensive. We ordered eggs, Machaca and Heuvos Rancheros, both delish! My favorite part of the meal was the excellent service given by Geraldo. He was so welcoming and attentive, a giant thank you to him.“
